The creators, man. Stockfish creators spent lots of time over many years developing her, then the Commie Jews at Google come in and destroy her in the blink of an eye.
Stockfish is an Engine, Alpha Zero an AI, they work in very very different ways, Stockfish wins by brute force calculations, A0 by learning, A0 is winning now as Stockfish can only calculate upto 20 moves in advance but once computing advances to a greater extent and Engines are capable to calculating every possible move in chess AIs would not win.
I looked up A0 on Wikipedia, and apparently A0 always runs on what is probably a supercomputer (at Google); while Stockfish runs on... well probably not a supercomputer.
Thanks for sticking with the Alpha Zero games, Agad. I look forward to the Capablanca series very much, but this video really marks the end of the Dark Ages of Chess for me. With the opaque number crunching era behind us, for now at least, we can enjoy Chess as a beautiful game where human qualities have a place in our understanding and appreciation of games played between both human players and the most advanced computers we have yet devised. I'm curious if any of these games that it played against Stockfish were identical to games that it perhaps played against itself. I wonder how much of Alpha's data is learned and how much is done in calculation. When Alpha lost games, was that more due to being in spots where it was purely forced to play in a position it had never seen and had to do more calculation than usual? I'm also curious since I haven't researched this much, but is Alpha being adaptive and learning during these 1000 games or simply still sticking to learning during self-play w/ adjusted algorithms and parameters?
Hi, a question. Im trying go figure out why stockfish har no moves around the 18 minute mark, if Black queens, when White captures the promoted queen with the rook and gets recaptured by the Black rook. Why not move the Black rook behind the white pawn thats almost promoted and later move the King?
