I am intrigued by how easily people can be deceived. The majority of comments focus on the negative impact of tax cuts on billionaires. I suspect that these are the same people who remain silent when the state and government give themselves a raise. For instance, consider when California implemented a $20 minimum wage. While people assume it benefits the lower class, in reality, it harms individuals and benefits the government and state. How does this happen? Layoffs begin, leading to store closures and ultimately, fewer job opportunities. So, how does it benefit the government? Through taxes, plain and simple. Instead of taxing $31,200 per year (at $15 per hour), they can now tax $41,600 per year (at $20 per hour).
