Level 91, 2 5-Links, missing several uniques, but the build still performs pretty well. I've never played summoner before but I'm enjoying it as my league starter.

I hink it is safe to just replace that gem with something like minion life etc. I maybe should start reading what new gems actually do. -_-

Welp. Guess I've found my 3.14 league starter. Edit: Hmmm. Not sure how it'd rate against ultimatum. Then again, ultimatum to me seems like ritual with extra steps. The payout for a full "ultimatum" may not be that worthwhile every time.
I have to say you have saved my 3.15 experience with this build. A5 conquers melt with the gem swap and mapping has never felt so safe. Still grinding out maps to get all watch stones. She's not the fastest mapper but thats the trade off for all the damage and safety. The only thing im stuck on is sirus. I just need to study the fight more. Thanks again for the guide. You definitely earned my sub.😃

The way i see it: "Bloodmagic Support" will be replaced with "Lifetap Support", and the build will work just as intended. Seen from a perspective of "a buff to vaal Skills" - Vaal Summon Skeletons might become even more, maybe WAY MORE powerful, and so this build will potentially scale higher. Patch note havent been released yet. I am confident this build will still be viable as my league starter in 3.14. Lets see what patch notes and development manifesto will bring to the table. Looking forward on seeing ur updated PoB for leaguestart.
I know it's late. But Lifetap = Minions cannot gain the lifetap buff, so it will not work as intended for the build in Scourge. Or am I wrong? If right, what is a good replacement would you say?

For necro? Aura stacker carrion golem. It is the meta build this league, very accesible, league starter viable and absurdly powerful. I already finished the league, but my last version of my carrion necro was doing around 16/17 million sirus damage, 87/87/88 elemental resistances, 5.5k ES. Its a very well all round build, tanky, insanely good boss dps and good clearing speed (not zoom zoom tho). Did maven, sirus a9, all maven challenges, all conquerors die in 2-3 seconds, etc
Quick question about the gem setup for Vaal summon skellies. In the video you have 1. Vaal summon skeletons 2. Spell Echo 3. Minion Dmg 4. LMP 5. Pierce 6. Ele Focus whilst in the POB guide you have seven gems which differ a bit 1. Vaal summon skeletons 2. Spell Echo 3. LMP 4. Minion Dmg 5. Pierce 6. Ele Penetration and 7. Hypothermia. I can get that you changed the setup a bit, for Scourge, but what's with the 7th gem, Hypothermia?
@Navandis Gaming Great build, but one thing I found was switching the chestplate with Fleshcrafter. Yes, you lose a bit of HP (300-400 HP), but you get the ability "While Minions have Energy Shield, their Hits Ignore Monster Elemental Resistance", which makes them almost kill everything instantly. The Maven encounters were SUPER easy with this. You basically destroyed the bosses in every map within 3-4 seconds. That is what I would suggest over the Bloodbond. Rest of the build I followed and worked great. Oh, and if you use FleshCrafter, do NOT use Summon Chaos Golem. Use Stone Golem for that extra HP Regen. And with the ability the Minions get when dead, their HP Regen boosts up and gain HP, you basically have your minions up for most battles.
What level? How squishy did you get after losing the hps (and in my case, chaos resistance as well), do the energy shield increase makes up for it? Nice touch, thanks for sharing.
@@onaodito I wasn't really that squishy to be honest. I got lucky with my Cluster Jewel on rolling Chaos Resistance on it and getting Chaos resistance on my Amulet (28% Chaos Resist) and my Diadem (18% Chaos Resist). I am at 43% Chaos Resist right now. The Energy Shield get's put into Mana, so it's not gonna help much, but it's the Minions ability to kill the bosses faster that make up for it. Basically, the best defence is an amazing Offence in this case.
@@NovaStrikePFAdmin Appreciated the answer man. Another question: you mentioned that you are following this guide. So the only change was on the breastplate? In that case, you are running around with 1 less skeleton. Does it still make it up? Assuming we are using EE and skitterbots, the mobs should be with negative resistances, or very low. In that case, wouldnt another skeleton help to push a little further? I tried calculating on PoB but I couldnt see any difference, besides the number of skeletons (from 12 to 11)
@@onaodito That's correct. 1 less Skeleton, and yes it would make a difference somewhat on a few perks like the Cluster Jewel of minions that die give regen and more DPS, but I noticed right away I can do way more maps with more negative buffs on it than before. Personally I haven't maxed everything out on my Gems yet either so I got a ways to go haha

Hey Navandis great build very detailed after I read the comments in here a lot of ppl say this build is dead now I'm a bit new to the game is this build any good for the scourge season or should I change my starter to something that is a bit easier and a bit cheaper that is stronger in this season any ways Ty for the build
Build is definetly not dead, still one of the strongest this league, the only kind of "expensive" and necessary item early on is dead reckoning, the jewel which makes your skeleton turn to mages, which costs about 40c right now. With this jewel, two labs done, random gear with life and resists + just a 4 link staff for 1c i was able to make it to red maps with ease. You shouldn't exceed 5exalted orbs to make this build viable in uber content. Regarding your question if the build is a good option for beginners, necromancer is always a good choice, because all you do is just summon your minions and you can focus on dodging stuff, which is useful in learning what enemies and bosses do, and they don't need much investment to start off mapping and gathering currency.
It won't trigger the Vaal part and we don't care about that. Vaal gems are 2 in 1, you get the Vaal skill and the regular one and both will be technically separately supported by whatever you link to them. In this case 99% of the time you use Summon Skeletons and you can very easily verify it works because you will summon 8 skellies instead of 4 with each cast. When using the Vaal part it won't cast it twice (it would be absurd to get 100+ skeletons instead of 50+). In either case, everything works the way it is set-up now

I have one question, do you think using elemental army support for the skellies would be worth it? haven't done the calc but was curious if the -10 res with 29ish% bonus dmg matches up to elemental focus. I don't know how this would affect the interaction with elemental equilibrium. Looking forward to seeing more of your content!
It wouldn't affect EE because minions cannot proc or impact EE in any way, they simply benefit from it because the *effect* (reduced / increased resistances) is something that happens on the mobs themselves. As for the damage itself, it would be significantly lower than elemental focus and the extra resistances bonus is irrelevant as your skellies are already capped 👍
Hi Navandis Gaming, this has been bothering me for sometime but I really wanted to know why "Sovereignty" was red in the passive skill tree. I can't figure it out, I thought my question would be answered in POB but due to some issues my POB does not work for my computer.
It's because for some strange reason about 50% of the people ignore it while leveling then forget to pick it up again, then come and ask why can't they activate all auras. It's a mystery to my why that happens so I'm trying all sorts of things to draw attention to that passive 😁
Unfortunetly the new league has the Dead reckoging jewel at over 40+ chaos which kinda hinders this build for early on in the league but other then that fun build.
This build is really good and u can start to use all the minions after act 4, leveling up with zombies holy flame totem and raging spirit+ infernal was okey but now i got every summon i'm blasting through campaign ! Would like to see a second video for the true endgame and know what can be improved once i'm done with your version, getting another anointment ,ect ect
Thank you for the guide! Is there a way to use fleshcrafter body armor with this build ? It seems to be a popular item but creates problems with chaos golem and animate guardian minions.
It is possible to use Fleshcrafter but you would need to build around it from the ground up, to ensure your other minions don't become too squishy because of it
Just a heads up folks: "Blood Magic" gem had it's name changed to "Arrogance." It still does the same thing, and is still available from the same vendors (Clarissa, Siosa, & Lilly Roth).
For this build it was replaced by Lifetap, not Arrogance. Blood Magic was split between these two new gems and Lifetap has the behavior of the old BM while Arrogance is used for skills that reserve mana (i.e. auras).
@@NavandisGaming ohh ok thank you. Also, what could be a possible replacement for Queen's Decree early on? Its almost virtually impossible to get more than 2 Blue sockets on it because of its high Dex and Strength. I luckily purchased a 6 socket full linked one for a bunch of chromatic and some chaos orbs.Then when I tried to get at least 3 blue sockets on it, I realized it was a waste of chromatic orbs. Now I'm just thinking of trading it off.
Cheers for the 3.16 update! Still super fun to delete bosses in seconds :p However I find that the "safe" playstyle is due to the fact that u pop the skellies at the edge of the screen going forward and they blast everything off screen for you. But with the scourge mechanic you are surrounded when you pop in. The build feels super squishy now. Suggestion? aside better health rolls on gear? I'm thinking of dropping the clusters and getting some defensives like the staff mastery. any input?
Exactly the same mate - I have gone into Melding, Tireless, Sanctum of though and just about to go into Whirling Barrier - Im playing SSF atm currently sitting at 4k life and 1k ES

I always play skeletons but had never heard of the Dead Reckoning jewel and boy does it make a difference. I don't have any end-game gear yet or many of the other things you advise because I haven't found/purchased them. Yet I've killed the first 2 rounds of conquerors without dying which has never happened before! I don't even have any auras!
as a completly new player to the game, wanting to play a summoning heavy build this looks great overall, but the passive skill tree is totally different in the game now, compared to the one in the video. For example point 13 Elemental Equilibrium is far away ... does this still work out in any way today because I don't want to invest hours of playing for a build which doesn't work ... or do you have an updated picture of the new passive tree? Sorry for seeming absolutly without any knowledge, but in the end it is just the point I am at :D

Spell Echo is for the Summon Skeletons part of the Vaal Summon Skeletons - even if they are housed by the same gem they are two completely distinct abilities as far as the game is concerned and each skill has its own set of rules. So yes, Spell Echo does work with Vaal Summon Skeletons. It works with the part of the ability you spam, not the Vaal part (would be absurd to get 90+ skeletons wouldn't it?). You can also very easily verify this yourself: take out spell echo, cast summon skeletons. You get 4 skellies. Put it back in, cast it again. You get 8.

i actually switched the boots to Replica Stampede Assassin's Boots for quick mapping. anointed method to the madness to increase the chaos resist. although losing 1 skeleton and 3 from the vaal. map clearing is so much nicer
How does the last patch impact this build? (Skeletal Mages being able to Crit), and (Skeletal Mage elemental damage now normalized, cold = fire = lighting).

We use Blade Blast for Unnerve debuff - you get that from gem level 1, it doesn't change at all to gem level 20. We use Desecrate to generate 5 corpses - similarly, you get hat from level 1, it doesn't change at all to gem level 20. There's no reason to level up gems that provide nothing at extra levels for the build, especially when some of them will have high attribute requirements (like DEX).

Quick question about the gem setup for Vaal summon skellies. In the video you have 1. Vaal summon skeletons 2. Spell Echo 3. Minion Dmg 4. LMP 5. Pierce 6. Ele Focus whilst in the POB guide you have seven gems which differ a bit 1. Vaal summon skeletons 2. Spell Echo 3. LMP 4. Minion Dmg 5. Pierce 6. Ele Penetration and 7. Hypothermia.
I can get that you changed the setup a bit, for Scourge, but what's with the 7th gem, Hypothermia?
You can switch LMP with Hypothermia during boss fights. But I don't know why Elemental Focus was replaced with Elemental Penetration.
I just picked up POE and went with ur Phantasm necro build. How does this compare to that one, in terms of end game? (weakness/strenght comparison)
Same here and it has gotten me to some entry t15+ mapping. How does it compare to that? Also, can we get a 1% endgame for the Phantasm necro build?
@Navandis Gaming Great build, but one thing I found was switching the chestplate with Fleshcrafter. Yes, you lose a bit of HP (300-400 HP), but you get the ability "While Minions have Energy Shield, their Hits Ignore Monster Elemental Resistance", which makes them almost kill everything instantly. The Maven encounters were SUPER easy with this. You basically destroyed the bosses in every map within 3-4 seconds. That is what I would suggest over the Bloodbond. Rest of the build I followed and worked great. Oh, and if you use FleshCrafter, do NOT use Summon Chaos Golem. Use Stone Golem for that extra HP Regen. And with the ability the Minions get when dead, their HP Regen boosts up and gain HP, you basically have your minions up for most battles.
What level? How squishy did you get after losing the hps (and in my case, chaos resistance as well), do the energy shield increase makes up for it? Nice touch, thanks for sharing.
@@onaodito I wasn't really that squishy to be honest. I got lucky with my Cluster Jewel on rolling Chaos Resistance on it and getting Chaos resistance on my Amulet (28% Chaos Resist) and my Diadem (18% Chaos Resist). I am at 43% Chaos Resist right now. The Energy Shield get's put into Mana, so it's not gonna help much, but it's the Minions ability to kill the bosses faster that make up for it. Basically, the best defence is an amazing Offence in this case.
@@NovaStrikePFAdmin Appreciated the answer man. Another question: you mentioned that you are following this guide. So the only change was on the breastplate? In that case, you are running around with 1 less skeleton. Does it still make it up? Assuming we are using EE and skitterbots, the mobs should be with negative resistances, or very low. In that case, wouldnt another skeleton help to push a little further? I tried calculating on PoB but I couldnt see any difference, besides the number of skeletons (from 12 to 11)
@@onaodito That's correct. 1 less Skeleton, and yes it would make a difference somewhat on a few perks like the Cluster Jewel of minions that die give regen and more DPS, but I noticed right away I can do way more maps with more negative buffs on it than before. Personally I haven't maxed everything out on my Gems yet either so I got a ways to go haha
Hello, can i see your POB? curious of how you are avoiding from getting one shot , because your physical dmg reduction will be around 20% below with flask (for my case if i use fleshcrafter)

Build is definetly not dead, still one of the strongest this league, the only kind of "expensive" and necessary item early on is dead reckoning, the jewel which makes your skeleton turn to mages, which costs about 40c right now. With this jewel, two labs done, random gear with life and resists + just a 4 link staff for 1c i was able to make it to red maps with ease. You shouldn't exceed 5exalted orbs to make this build viable in uber content. Regarding your question if the build is a good option for beginners, necromancer is always a good choice, because all you do is just summon your minions and you can focus on dodging stuff, which is useful in learning what enemies and bosses do, and they don't need much investment to start off mapping and gathering currency.
13:07 In the path of building software the "Spell Echo" support gem won't trigger Vaal skill gem and it is connected to a vaal skill.
It won't trigger the Vaal part and we don't care about that. Vaal gems are 2 in 1, you get the Vaal skill and the regular one and both will be technically separately supported by whatever you link to them. In this case 99% of the time you use Summon Skeletons and you can very easily verify it works because you will summon 8 skellies instead of 4 with each cast. When using the Vaal part it won't cast it twice (it would be absurd to get 100+ skeletons instead of 50+).
In either case, everything works the way it is set-up now

I have one question, do you think using elemental army support for the skellies would be worth it? haven't done the calc but was curious if the -10 res with 29ish% bonus dmg matches up to elemental focus. I don't know how this would affect the interaction with elemental equilibrium. Looking forward to seeing more of your content!
It wouldn't affect EE because minions cannot proc or impact EE in any way, they simply benefit from it because the *effect* (reduced / increased resistances) is something that happens on the mobs themselves. As for the damage itself, it would be significantly lower than elemental focus and the extra resistances bonus is irrelevant as your skellies are already capped 👍

Hi Navandis Gaming, this has been bothering me for sometime but I really wanted to know why "Sovereignty" was red in the passive skill tree. I can't figure it out, I thought my question would be answered in POB but due to some issues my POB does not work for my computer.

It's because for some strange reason about 50% of the people ignore it while leveling then forget to pick it up again, then come and ask why can't they activate all auras. It's a mystery to my why that happens so I'm trying all sorts of things to draw attention to that passive 😁

Unfortunetly the new league has the Dead reckoging jewel at over 40+ chaos which kinda hinders this build for early on in the league but other then that fun build.
The helmet is 3,4 ex and the cluster jewels is 180-2.5 ex. :D

This build is really good and u can start to use all the minions after act 4, leveling up with zombies holy flame totem and raging spirit+ infernal was okey but now i got every summon i'm blasting through campaign ! Would like to see a second video for the true endgame and know what can be improved once i'm done with your version, getting another anointment ,ect ect

Thank you for the guide! Is there a way to use fleshcrafter body armor with this build ? It seems to be a popular item but creates problems with chaos golem and animate guardian minions.
It is possible to use Fleshcrafter but you would need to build around it from the ground up, to ensure your other minions don't become too squishy because of it

Just a heads up folks: "Blood Magic" gem had it's name changed to "Arrogance." It still does the same thing, and is still available from the same vendors (Clarissa, Siosa, & Lilly Roth).
For this build it was replaced by Lifetap, not Arrogance. Blood Magic was split between these two new gems and Lifetap has the behavior of the old BM while Arrogance is used for skills that reserve mana (i.e. auras).

Why do you use Lesser Multiple Projectiles Support and not Greater Multiple Projectiles Support?
GMP reduces projectile damage by A LOT, LMP almost not at all. You also don't need more projectiles than you already have
@@NavandisGaming ohh ok thank you. Also, what could be a possible replacement for Queen's Decree early on? Its almost virtually impossible to get more than 2 Blue sockets on it because of its high Dex and Strength. I luckily purchased a 6 socket full linked one for a bunch of chromatic and some chaos orbs.Then when I tried to get at least 3 blue sockets on it, I realized it was a waste of chromatic orbs. Now I'm just thinking of trading it off.
How much damage did the build lose in 3.16?
Cheers for the 3.16 update! Still super fun to delete bosses in seconds :p
However I find that the "safe" playstyle is due to the fact that u pop the skellies at the edge of the screen going forward and they blast everything off screen for you. But with the scourge mechanic you are surrounded when you pop in. The build feels super squishy now.
Suggestion? aside better health rolls on gear? I'm thinking of dropping the clusters and getting some defensives like the staff mastery. any input?

I always play skeletons but had never heard of the Dead Reckoning jewel and boy does it make a difference. I don't have any end-game gear yet or many of the other things you advise because I haven't found/purchased them. Yet I've killed the first 2 rounds of conquerors without dying which has never happened before! I don't even have any auras!
Is there an alternative for Blood Magic? It doesn't seem to be available or has been updated.

as a completly new player to the game, wanting to play a summoning heavy build this looks great overall, but the passive skill tree is totally different in the game now, compared to the one in the video. For example point 13 Elemental Equilibrium is far away ... does this still work out in any way today because I don't want to invest hours of playing for a build which doesn't work ... or do you have an updated picture of the new passive tree?

Elemental equilibrium is no more where you show on your tree. Maybe a new tree passive is needed?
the elemental equilibrium skill is in the dex site of the skill tree, this skill tree is broken.
The skill tree was updated + elemental penetration gem was added.

If you happen to get a red socket on your staff rather than the combination here "Damage on Full Life" is a great alternative.
@navandis gaming just FYI: you can't combine Spell Echo Support with the recommended Vaal Summon Skeleton
Spell Echo is for the Summon Skeletons part of the Vaal Summon Skeletons - even if they are housed by the same gem they are two completely distinct abilities as far as the game is concerned and each skill has its own set of rules. So yes, Spell Echo does work with Vaal Summon Skeletons. It works with the part of the ability you spam, not the Vaal part (would be absurd to get 90+ skeletons wouldn't it?).
You can also very easily verify this yourself: take out spell echo, cast summon skeletons. You get 4 skellies. Put it back in, cast it again. You get 8.

i actually switched the boots to Replica Stampede Assassin's Boots for quick mapping. anointed method to the madness to increase the chaos resist. although losing 1 skeleton and 3 from the vaal. map clearing is so much nicer

I using odif, but without the projectile it kill slower and odif build more defensive. But still i die couple time during ultimatium

Why you Have to put desecrate and blade blast at level 1?
We use Blade Blast for Unnerve debuff - you get that from gem level 1, it doesn't change at all to gem level 20. We use Desecrate to generate 5 corpses - similarly, you get hat from level 1, it doesn't change at all to gem level 20.
There's no reason to level up gems that provide nothing at extra levels for the build, especially when some of them will have high attribute requirements (like DEX).
