When moving through the grid how do you relate the paradiddles to the time, i understand the 4 and 8 but 5 6 and 7 is confusing. Are you squeezing them in like a polyrhythm or playing over the bar line? In the beginning you said there was another video showing this concept with single strokes. Where can I find it?
Thanks for your question. The single strokes version is in a module from the archives of my old teaching site. Basically, 6 is Sextuplets, and 7's are septuplets. You can go up and down this grid on the snare drum without orchestrations.

Great Exercise! To the drummer above yes when you put in the accents of the paraadiddles the 5' s become 5 against 4 and etc!
I mean it becomes a polyrhythm over the half note click.
