Thank you for introducing someGreek metal bands. Villagers of Ioannina City are an excellent band, and their live performances are outstanding. Based on your recommendation, I gave Nightfall a listen (one or two tracks so far), and they seem like a very intriguing band. Leatherhead also shows great promise-looking forward to exploring their music further!
The lead guitarist of Suicide Angels (that you reviewed in ep.1) is Gus Drax and also plays for two other bands that you should check out: Black Fate and Sunburst. I would also recommend Wardrum, which is the previous band of vocalist Yannis Papadopoulos who now sings for Beast in Black. All three are closer to the Power Metal genre. I would also recommend On Thorns I Lay (death/doom), Elysion (gothic) and Mystfall (symphonic).
I've noticed that no one mentioned Stray Gods - Olympus (2023), which is a very good Iron Maiden clone. If you like Maiden`s "Somewhere in time" you can check them.
Hi John!!! More cool bands and music to listen...... i have never heard any of this bands before!!! i think Leatherhead is the one that might be right in my music alley and maybe a couple more, but that's the one that caught my attention. cheers and be well
I really enjoyed your Greek bands discovery videos! I see many great band suggestions in the comments. I'd like to add the following: **Experimental/Progressive Black Metal:** - Aenaon - Hail Spirit Noir (Favorite album: *Mayhem in Blue*) **Melodic Death Metal:** - AmongRuins - Nightrage - TEMOR **Progressive Metal:** - Mother of Millions - Poem (Favorite album: *Skein Syndrome*) **Symphonic Death/Black Metal:** - W.E.B. (Their bassist also plays with Nervosa)
Warrior path is a quite well known band - their 2021 album is on 2 place on NWOTHM channel by number of views. They definitely reached their target audience. Eternal champion (USA) is first, i remember when that album came out in 2016 people talked about metal revival, so second place is a huge achievement for greeks.
Northwind, Spitfire if you want to check some from the 80s bands, Dodsferd, Ravencult 2 (of the many) black metal bands, Dead Congregation for some serious death metal (10/10), Battleroar for more heavy/epic and finally Naxatras
A rock band bordering on heavy metal. Us oldies routinely caledl that 'heavy rock' in the late 70s early 80's at least in the UK. it's almost become a forgotten term!
Happy new year all !!!! I’m a time traveler and I visit your time from 2045. As a proof, I’ll just copy/paste the recent uploaded video title of JC Rock and Metal Reviews, which is ... “My Journey into Discovering More Greek Metal Bands Part 7.341”🤣 We have tones of good rock bands in Greece 😛

Wow, I don't know any of those Greek bands you mentioned. They're all completely new to me.
Yeah me too. I was just going off of the recommendations that people sent me in the comments.

Yeah, that's true. I haven't really heard that used too much. Maybe it is a forgotten term? LOL
