I am sorry, your comment was 3 years ago, I just found THIS video. Previously I saw a video from some French man in his Peugeot 206cc with 1,600cc petrol engine. He was driving on the French Motorway and sustaining 190 km/h for awhile until traffic in front of him forced him to slow down, even in the "high speed" lane.
The Radiator Coolant Temperature was staying "Normal" but the Oil Temperature gauge, during the time he was driving up to his speed of 190 km/h (about 120 mph) was slowly but steadily climbing and by the time he had to slow down because of traffic congestion in front of him, it was almost in the Red "Danger, Too Hot" zone. If there had been no other cars on the road, he could maybe have gone even faster than 190 km/h. However with such hot oil, the engine block metals would have been getting very hot soon after, and then the Radiator Coolant temperature would have started increasing dangerously high also.
Note I have a Peugeot 206cc but mine has the 2,000cc engine with 5 speed manual gearbox (although some models had automatic transmissions available). Mine has the steering wheel on the Right side of the car, made for Britain and the British Commonwealth countries.
My car was first sold brand new in Hong Kong which drives on the British side of the road. Later it was exported again, this time to New Zealand where I bought it. Remember these cars are coming up on about 20 years old now.
In Britain with their high fuel prices and Road Taxes there were several different engine options perhaps down to 1,400 and 1,100cc and some Diesel engine options. Here in New Zealand, when these cars were sold brand new (in the years of the early 2000's) the local Peugeot dealers decided to just import 2 options. The 1,600cc engine with the 4 speed automatic transmission and the 2,000cc engine with the 5 speed manual gearbox. A handful became imported later on, like mine, from other Right Hand Drive countries like Hong Kong, Singapore or Japan.
My roof has never worked on the electric, so I just open and close it by hand when I want, it only takes a minute, with some practice. These are a fun car and suitable for hot and cold conditions. The heated Rear Window is good for demisting in Winter and mine also has the optional extra heated Mirrors. The Air Conditioning is great for when it is hot or for when the windows try to mist up.
Mine has the Automatic climate control for the heater/air conditioner, whereas the Peugeot in this video has the more basic simple heater/air con, controls. Our Open Road speed limit here is 100 km/h so mine has never been too fast. Plus as it is now over 20 years old, I want to be kind to the engine and gearbox and make it last me a long time.
I mostly drive around this small city area anyway. Our traffic here is much less than in Europe. In my normal city driving, mine has a fuel economy of about 28 miles per Imperial Gallon, and on occasional country drives, it does 42 miles per Imperial Gallon. (Sorry you will need to convert that yourself to litres/100km, or litres/km if that's how you think.) Although I am just of the generation that we learned both the British Imperial system and the Metric S. I. system when in school. However a car's fuel usage is the one thing I still can only think of in the old system !
My Peugeot has the optional multifunction clock and Trip Computer display that only some models had, and it can be set for Metric or Imperial . I have the outside air temperature display set for Celsius however the fuel consumption is set in Miles Per Gallon !

@@kys4492 Yeah I'm probably a frustrated wanna-be writer/book author in another life LOL. I have a 'blog that almost no-one reads, and I don't often add new stuff to it much nowadays anyway, but I tend to comment on TH-cam videos about things that interest me. Such as cars I currently have (or types of car I had previously) and also about gardening, in the manner I like (not really into Roses or Camelias etc, more into less common stuff, some cactus). I do in-home care for elderly so I have large pockets of spare time where I can just watch TH-cam and type comments and just listen out for a call if I'm needed, to jump up then and do whatever I need to. cheers
