It’s very simple. The reason rates of depression and suicidal ideation is high among trans people is bc the whole movement isn’t based on objectively reality. We are telling kids that this idea, the fragmentation of the Self, is brave and positive. Gender affirming care won’t fix this issue, maybe short-term but it’s an internal issue not physical. People need to fill that God sized hole within themself, not chop of body parts…

When you look into the “study”, you will find their results are for one year after the treatments. It took me 10 years to start regretting the tattoos I got when I was 18. The truth is the suicide rates roughly stay the same over time, whether they receive gender affirming care or not.

You can’t just trust a kid when they say they hate their lives and “just want to die”. I think like 90%…if not 100%..of us have felt like that or even said that particularly during adolescence at least once or twice. Don’t lead the kids down dark roads of existence.

At the beginning of the trans-binary movement it was highly recomended that before the subject of surgery there must be evaluation and cognative therapy; and most important youth under a certain AGE not be allowed any form of procedure.
