Glad you bought a Packard Bell Platinum I desktop PC to make up for getting rid of those other Platinum I models! It looks pretty neat. It's fun to relive the good old days of computers. I wish I could start having fun with an early 2000s HP Pavilion Windows XP desktop PC again since they are so rare (I used to have one, but not anymore).
Seeing that Circuit City sticker and the ad brought back nostalgic memories. My first computer I bought with my own money was from a Circuit City store.
My late but great grandparents used to have a Packard Bell model that was similar to this. I think it too was a Platinum, I just can't remember the exact model. I remembered that my late grandparents got it brand new for Christmas in 1997 and I was even amazed at that PB computer. I think it was even ordered from JCPenney, which at one time used to sell computers, including Packard Bells.
My first computer was a Pentium 90mHz Packard Bell. 4MB RAM, 350MB hard drive. It had the monitor with the attached speakers just like that one. I bought a printer too. It was all about $2400 at Best Buy in 1994.
@joshuafrias2415 as you may know Microsoft payed the Stones to use there song start me up for the windows 95 launch ad campaign. My comment is from a spoof of the song making fun of windows 95
Billy the prices for any old computer from the 90s is insane. If I wanted the Packard bell legend I had from late 1994, I would have to pay 200 to 500 dollars plus shipping.
I got a Packard Bell and it wouldn't post. I took it back (to Sears) and got a different Packard Bell and it wouldn't post, neither. So I exchanged it for an IBM PS/1. That computer worked amazingly well. Packard Bell has a terrible reputation with me.

You know that Garfield mug has lead in it. I was surprised when I found out.

The “Platinum” name really was cool.
Oh my god. I had that computer in high school. I tossed in a voodoo 2 card in that and was living the life in 1997/1998.
