      nice! im hoping to change my fluid on thursday and take the car to storage after that. Hopefully I can get a 1/4 mile video recorded while on the way up to the barn, stopping by my local track of course :)

    Funny you make this video. I've been looking up the pro codes on my 98 W68 Y87 Firebird and I just found out that it has the LSD. I've been tempted to make a video about the car to show you. I'm trying to get as much info as I can on it, as my car has leather interior and chrome rims. I haven't seen many V6 Firebirds with leather interiors and chrome rims...only two others I've seen I think.

      @@CaptainThirdGen Do you know if these options on a V6 bird are rare or common?

    • @CaptainThirdGen
      @CaptainThirdGen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@firebird5288 Y87 is pretty rare. But most Y87 cars had other options like yours as well. Id say your car is unusual for a v6, but ive seen several others set up similarly. So not SUPER rare. If its a manual, then itd be very very rare. Most manual v6 cars had virtually no other options

    My 95 has 3:73 gears and it accelerates way harder than the stock 3:23

      @@CaptainThirdGen i own a 2011 synergy green v6 6speed rs,,,i watched a few of your videos ,,when i start out from a dead standstill my first gear is so short/slow i have to shift second so fast its annoying,,if i have another car behind me i have to really get on it otherwise ther rite on my bumper,,is yours the same way?

    • @CaptainThirdGen
      @CaptainThirdGen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jeremylinton6129 yes, 1st gear is quite short on the 6spd manual in the 5th gen v6 cars. Its an Aisin Ay6 transmission. short 1st gear, big gap to 2nd, big gap to 3rd.
      the transmission was also used in some toyota trucks i believe, which would explain its odd gear ratios

      @@CaptainThirdGen might as well as to be honest man there’s not many videos out there with TA’s and their owners driving and talking. I honestly would invest in some better equipment and experiment. Maybe even search around for other car bloggers specific just to see what they do and what they use that works best for them then apply it to your TA. Could make a series of episodes or something doing this with your car. Like come up with some topics, news stories just whatever that interests you to talk about. Now that I think about it. You could do a live drive a long discussion stream lol. During it just do some pulls entering highways and such just cruising around. See if anyone’s got questions you can answer live during an episode or whatever you would call the series. You got potential. I mean shit you got the car already haha! Being consistent will pay off in the long run man, trust me!!
