      Well, with the food prices going up the way they are, I think more people are gonna HAVE TO be okay with it... if they eat meat anyway😉👍 I'm okay with it as long as it's done with respect and gratitude, and if as much of the animal is used. Come at ME too! 😂💜

    As a child I was to curious for my own good. Growing up on our small family farm, I was told to stay inside one day and not go outside.
    Needless to say, I snuck out to see what what it was I wasn't supposed to see... well it was what I called slaughter day.
    I didn't understand why they were taking certain Cows, and pigs out of their enclosures... it was then I learned the harsh reality of farm life at the tender age of six.
    I remember going inside and crying myself to sleep. When I woke up I told my mom and she wasn't angry like I thought she would be, instead she did her best to explain to me what I saw, and why. Needless to say I never snuck outside again when told to stay in.

The meat was then eaten in celebration of a boy becoming a man, the skin was made into a pelt cloak to be worn to symbolise your completion of the Rite and the bones were ground up and mixed with the Woad when making the warpaint, this symbolised you had the boars strength, aggression and speed in you while you fought

    Second story: how the heck did they explain this to the insurance?
    I know shops that got robbed twice in a year and from then on the insurance company refused to pay as long as they don't hire security, but that was not possible with the small profit margin and thus multiple shops had to close forever!

    Not anything supernatural, but I took my first deer last year out hunting and while we were field-dressing it and dragging it back to the truck a large pack of coyotes surrounded us. It was really spooky to hear them start on one side and slowly circling around us, waiting to get at the gut pile. Even though we were heavily armed it's eery to hear a bunch of coyotes circling you.

    • @bassblaster162
      @bassblaster162 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Never been in that situation, but I believe you. No matter how heavily armed we may be, we're still not Superman...

    • @wintersking4290
      @wintersking4290 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bassblaster162 it's just cause if how dark it was getting. Coyotes are tiny they weigh like 24 pounds maximum, usually they're more around 12-14 pounds. A grown man can crush a coyote's head with a kick or break their ribs with a punch. I'm pretty sure any average guy could easily handle 3-5 of them alone and unarmed, let alone with a gun or even a club. But it's definitely weird to be able to hear them, but not see them and know they're circling you.

    • @bassblaster162
      @bassblaster162 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wintersking4290 Man, you must have some malnourished coyotes over there! But yeah, the fact that something is unseen, can see & hear better than us, is faster than us, most likely has you outnumbered, even if they're scrawny...not a good feeling at all😄

    • @wintersking4290
      @wintersking4290 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bassblaster162 I don't know what you mean about the coyotes? Maybe they're bigger elsewhere where there's less competition? As far as I know coyotes are pathetic scavengers. The wolves are big, like 6 feet long without the tail and 150 pounds, but they basically leave people alone. Black bears are also a danger, but they basically only attack if there are cubs.

    • @bassblaster162
      @bassblaster162 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@icantthinkofaname15 it was getting dark one evening. I got off work and hurried to my stand to catch maybe the last 1 1/2 hours before dark. I am an avid hunter. I know the sounds of the woods. There was at dusk, a scream I had never heard before. It was behind me and up on a thickly wooded area. Three times I heard it and all three times I had cold chills. Could not understand what it was. I hurried down the stand and to my truck. I have to admit, even though I am scepter, it sounded a lot like the screams on those Bigfoot shows. Another time I was inside a ground blind, while I can say it was probably a bear but something came up behind the blind. I keep only small windows open for concealment reasons. It was where the door of the blind is. It was pushing lightly on the door, and a slight huffing noise occurred. I sat there still as a church mouse lol. I don’t know how long it stayed there, time seemed to escape me. It started walking off and I could hear branches breaking which is NOT how bears walk away. Black bear are all we have here, they are very stealthy in their movements.

    Hunting is a far more humane way for people to get meat than the grocery store. Tbh, if MORE people hunted then I think animals would be far better off. There is bad hunting of course because anytime you have an entire group of people there will be bad ones, but we shouldn't form our opinion on them based on the few bad.

    No hunting story but … I was turning off the hose late one night about 11:00 and noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. When I turned, a wolf was trotting and came about 15 feet from me. I pinned myself against the house and the wolf just trotted on by. Never turned to look at me though I knew he had to see me. Another evening in winter, I was emptying a small bucket off my porch and when the water hit the ground, I heard a harumph but no running. It sounded like a small bear. I couldn’t see to far because I had turned on the porch light it the sound seemed only a few yards away, so I slowly backed up and slipped inside the house. With the wildlife we have here in the country near a river, I never go outside at night without a flashlight and sweep it to watch for eye shine. Surprised twice. Not again.

    I run into deer a lot now on my runs, I never used to see them except rarely and far away as hell, but the last months I been seeing and seeing them. I’m sorry y’all I just don’t know how y’all do it. They are so full of good. I don’t see how ppl kill them especially for sport

    Story #3: Ah yes, once again the lack of a gun is specifically brought up, because the protagonists are in a potentially deadly situation (with a 20min wait for police, to boot!), when a gun is PRECISELY what's needed🔫😄.
    And no, guns aren't a fix-all for every situation, but against multiple armed attackers "with evil intentions"...would you rather have an AR-15...or a "loaded" hockey stick? 😄

    Hunting is the most humane way to harvest meat.
    If you don't believe me, go to a slaughter house, then go see where the pugs, chickens and cows live before being slaughter, its horrible.
    So don't you dare bad talk hunters when you are buying poultry, cow and pig meat at a grocery store.

    Allow me to clear something’s up for the people who say “if your hurting financially an hunt for food it’s ok.” Hunting and POACHING are two completely different things and unrelated. stop putting them together

    In 2018 their has been a new deer disease that is similar to mad cow disease that's an experts I found looking up to it said that the deer act differently if they had that disease and said that other deer have that disease now they're infected with it so if any hunter want to eat some deer I hope you don't get that disease.

    After this horrorshow of an administration finishes "building back better" hunting is going to not only get more popular but be necessary if you want to eat anything other then soylient coated cricket burgers. And I agree Venison makes awsome jerky though I prefer salmon jerky. Yumm

    Don’t understand why you wouldn’t just stand and fight when your armed to the teeth with pistols and rifles. Running just puts a target on your back they are just people like you and apparently unarmed you have the advantage of having fire power
