Glad to see you cover pokemon pocket. I gave up on Marvel Snap, but discovered you as an awesome content creator with a great personality. I hope to see more great pocket videos in the future.
I'm so glad that you're here! The more i play the game the more I'm starting to love it! My downtime of brewing on snap has been replaced happily on pocket. I plan on having lots of pocket content soon! I might even switch back to daily uploads for awhile!
I lost in the first round of top cut to an arcanine deck that ended up making the finals. Might be worth checking out for another video. This is stuff I love to see, the off meta success stories. Thank you!
Darth! Great performance in the tournament! The deck that I mentioned i had my eye on was the arcanine build! Because before this tourney I would have said I didn't think he could ever consistently cut it, but he made the finals and took that one to 3 games before losing.
Awesome that you’re covering pokemon pocket! Gave up marvel snap a few months ago but still subscribed because I like your innovative deck builds. Can’t wait to see more of that in this game!
Yes! I was really surprised by how well it did. It feels like machamp is heavily favored into the Pikachu line and can hold its own pretty well against just about everything else
WOAHHHH didnt know youd cover ptcgp. Always loved your Marvel Snap decks and they've taken me to infinite a bunch of times. Looking forward to TSLG Pokemon!!!!
Machamp line has the best curve of any stage 2 ex, it can always attack after evolving, which is huge. Its gonna become so much more powerful when they add more cards for sure.
I’ve been using this for a while now, and it’s the best deck I’ve used with slight variation from yours. But still it’s the best counter for pikachu/ Zapdos decks. Also counters mewtwo decks as well but I’ve noticed it struggles with articuno decks on occasion if they have misty, then you just get plowed
Machamp is cracked on curve, if you come against m2, and you have full evo line, you win against their m2 when going 2nd, even if they had full garde line.
I run Pikachu EX deck (don’t hate me) and I’ve only beaten a Machamp deck ONCE and that’s because the player made a wrong move. It’s insanely strong against Pika decks.
Oh hey someone figured it out. I play mono fighting Machamp. Its the easiest wins you'll ever get. I see some ppl splashing in Golbat for the MewTwo matchup. Seems pretty smart, ill probably do that when i get Golbat
@TLSGPokemon I like Dugtrio and Golbat with him since they are an easy retreat. Also Golbat only requires 1 of any resource. Also, Sandslash is amazing for when you need time to build your Machamp. Really tho, I've won plenty of games only putting Machop out and no bench. It's absurd
Uh oh! Your secret is safe with me and about 1,000 people for now 🤣. The only thing I don't love about the deck is the matchup into mewtwo, but everything else it has felt amazing.
I run the promo Mankey and Primeape line for that. Going second is almost a W regardless of set up so long as you get that evolve on your second attacking turn
Prime ape decks have the downside of monkey being killable right away if you attack first and then it's dependant on having primeape on curve or else mankey is put in a very vulnerable spot. I think against slower decks mankey could have the advantage, but against fast decks machamp feels safer because it still pumps out great damage on curve and is a bit tankier as well.
I love the idea of the deck, but it felt like most of the time if I couldn't find the zam evo like it was a dead match. When you draw and set him up he's a beast for sure!
I like it against stage 2 Mon decks, but mainly like a copy for the pressure in open decklist formats (vs the opponent knowing they can freely play their draw cards without any negative reprocusions because you don't have one)
@TLSGPokemon you shouldn't play any differently knowing your opponent has a 1 in 16 chance to make you draw 4 cards. If they do red card you your chance to get a useful card is better than that 1/16 they had. If you disagree can you tell me how you personally play differently knowing they might have red card?
T1 I never play professor research because I know I can't offload almost any of the cards and would be down a draw mechanism if hit with a red card. There are also times where I hold a prof research because I'm pushing for a stage 2 or stage 1 evo and have that in hand. The chances of drawing a stage 1 + stage 2 off the redraw plus the downside of not having an extra prof research can kill a game by itself in that moment. Now against a deck like Pikachu where each draw is pretty much as valuable and you don't need a particular card or set of card for success red card is awful, but against larger set up decks I find that I enjoy it a lot.
So, the mewtwo game was a 3/4 chance to lose The pika game was a 9/10 chance to lose. I don't think machamp is secretly great, i think you were insanely lucky. Also, why are you running red card over a second giovanni when it was your win con multiple times? Name one single instance where you were hoping to draw red card? I don't get what people see in red card ...
These were the tense or close matches and not necessarily just the blow outs because I wanted to games to be exciting. Also red card can be great against stage two decks like vennasaur or Charizard. In closed decklist or random matches it could easily be a second gio, but in open deck matches the threat of it being in the deck is often great on its own because the opponent can't openly double research or hold cards without knowing if you'll be sending them back or not

I second this exact thing- I fell out of favor with snap but love this guy

When I noticed they evolved into a Machamp and their 120 had no downsides; I knew I was fucked

Glad to see you try the game out. Enjoyed watching you on Snap

Great content! I have been looking this deck and finding out that Machamp is really underrated.

Same as Blastoise Ex line
I didn't know you had a pocket channel! Well hello again, thank you for this and enjoy the journey!
Thank you for being here! I'm excited to see how this game continues to grow!
They sleeeep this is my exact deck since day 1!
Ooh nice one! Ive always believe in Marowak ex for the fact it threatens most Ex, but now i gotta give machamp a secodn chance...
Machamp has felt amazing into the common Pikachu matchup and curves into the energy needed perfectly if you are going second.
Love to see it as an early adopter of machamp
I dont kno or care who u r but u fighting is the answer to the Meta

I played a few machamp decks in the event. It seemed really solid

I do heavily recommend somehow finding a way to fit in hitmonlee, it’s win so many games and people don’t expect it

Sucks I don't have a Machamp ex yet. Been pulling Charizard packs for a while and I've pulled 6 Charizard EXs but no Machamp EX.
3 retreat is so unreasonable
take in that grimer is 3 lol

Yes! The person running this deck went 2 w 2 l against mewtwo in best of 3 matchups, but 100% against 7 Pikachu decks!

Yes! I've been loving machamp. If you can get him ramped up he's almost unstoppable!

@@smokelingers nice breakdown. I don't have Morawak yet, so I'm like Zubat x1 and Golbat x1 just to have the option there for now. Thanks!
Sssshhhhhhhh TLSG. Dont let my secret out ;) but seriously, Machamp rules

DOMINANTING 😀
I have to guess that somebody just got lucky with some coin flips. I've tried that deck quite a few times and it's not that consistent.
They made it top 12 I believe or 12 best of 3 rounds. It felt amazing into pika and like it needed a little help in the mew2 matchups.
What makes this better than a primeape deck?
Prime ape decks have the downside of monkey being killable right away if you attack first and then it's dependant on having primeape on curve or else mankey is put in a very vulnerable spot.

Just destroyed a Mewtwo deck with it😅
Alakazam Weezing deck. Zam can one shot most ex's
I love the idea of the deck, but it felt like most of the time if I couldn't find the zam evo like it was a dead match.
When you draw and set him up he's a beast for sure!
I smashed a alakazam deck yesterday with pikachu/riachu.
@@krazykuz13cmc pika is meta, so that's not impressive
Red card is bad because of 20 card decks. You should check out the math
