Love your channels videos 😊 want to offer some kind feedback on Luke’s character. While it seems he has his own personal issues, Luke shares characteristics with many neurodivergent people such as struggling to socialize, using headphones as a way to regulate, and some times having a loud moment when you get upset 🤷🏻♀️. This one didn’t really land for me but I really enjoy seeing your videos on my feed!
Were the headphones and screaming necessary? Because this video reaks of autism stereotypes, it’s like when someone writes an autistic character but they’ve never met an autistic person in their life 😭
Exactly . I like this channel, the videos usually make me laugh, and I rarely get “offended”/“triggered” by characters that seem to have strong stereotypical autistic vibes but when he started screaming I visibly got uncomfortable.
Uhm as an autistic person I feel a bit uncomfortable about this. I get that some people with autism don’t quite understand certain social expectations or body language but I feel like this isn’t trying to be informative and is just showing the stereotypes of autism. Autism is not a bad thing it is just another way for your brain to be structured. It’s not a disease it’s a developmental disorder and trust me it’s just as uncomfortable or maybe more so for the kid with autism.
I remember back in sophmore year, my astronomy and geology teacher brought her son in. She did that days assignment around him, what it was is he came up with some sort of apocalyptic scenario and you would have to give a reason as to how you could survive it, using whatever means necessary. My group and I proceeded to debate her kid on why goku could survive any apocalyptic scenario.
When we we're on a field trip we shared the bus with class-2 and grade 5 class-2 and my teacher brought his daughter and sat with his wife next to him which was also the teacher of grade 5 class-2 and other teachers
mate do you take everything this personally? the character in this skit is clearly a complete idiot raised by gadgets and brainrot content, who probably wouldn't survive if a single minor inconvenience happened and his mother wasn't around. it has literally nothing about "you and people like you", why are you mad?
@@LuxeBabe22 the headphones, the lack of social cues, the screaming, the constant supervision. This is very much a caricature of autism. If they wanted a dude who was a deadbeat, they could have done a very different character.
I had a hard time watching this. I really love most of their skits, but as an autistic petson, this just hit really wrong. It looks like you are punching down on autists who struggle to adapt to society.

Mayyyyyyybe we shouldn’t mock or use outdated stereotypes of autistic people. Like yeah my adult brother asks very inappropriate questions and rarely interacts with people, just watching videos on his phone instead of doing anything productive. But that’s not always the case. And he doesn’t scream bloody murder randomly. Oftentimes when autistic people “lack potential” it’s because they lack support, or in my brother’s case, his special interest (guns) is most accessible through video games which have become an addiction to him. Autistic people aren’t stupid. But the world is irritating. Imagine if everyone was screaming all the time, your cat purring was as loud as a lawnmower, your clothes were always itchy, the sun felt like it was melting your skin and eyes, water made your skin burn and every single food that had ANY spice on them made you throw up. You’d be forced to live with noise cancelling headphones, sunglasses, special clothes and only eat some specific safe foods that didn’t make you throw up in disgust. Autism with hypersensitivity doesn’t make you stupid, but people associate “different” with “dumb” because they have a hard time communicating without being hurt by the environment. And even without hypersensitivity, imaging you’re sent to a new world that forces you to touch finger tips while you talk to someone, you have to greet people by making out with them, and people sigh at you when you do normal things like pour yourself a glass of water because you didn’t know it wasn’t allowed. Autism is also having a hard time doing “normal” greeting and conversation body language things. It’s also being unaware of ambiance, vibes or rules tied to specific situations unless told. So it’s not just rocking back and forth and screaming when bacteria is mentioned. And it’s pretty offensive to portray autistic people that way. It’s not hard to educate yourself about autism.
