It all goes well as per plan on the configuration day but next day when I powered on my both Linux machines, on iscsi initiator machine it didn't even discover the iscsi disk. Secondly when I discover it manually, its configuration file /var/lib/iscsi/nodes/**** doesn't have the credentials, earlier saved.
Hello rajnesh I tried this and its working fine some thing i wanted clear is y we need to add the CHAP info into the default file can we directly modify it in /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf file sir. And one more question sir if i want to remove the existing user and give onother user into the same lun can i do it , i googled it a lot but couldnt find nothing so can we do this sir plz help out sir THANKS MUCH sir
Hi Rajnesh, In Backing store path I choosed /dev/sdb but when I rebooted target node Ibacking store is not showing /dev/sdb . tgt-admin -s Target 1: iqn.2013-09.mgmt.ecomhost.com:disk1 System information: Driver: iscsi SCSI ID: IET 00010001
Backing store path: /dev/sdb Can you please assist us what changes I need to made to avoid this issue

I am not able to login the target iscsi block device from my target server. I have allowed the iptable for the port 3260 and created the CHAP authorized user in my client. I have also updated the CHAP authentication file under /var/lib/iscsi. But still I am facing the authorization failure issue.

New targets are not visible by any initiators, even if i restart the tgtd service unless restart iscsi host.. any help?

Never connect multiple initiators on the same iscsi target without a clustered filesystem (like ex: VMware VMFS) !! You will lose your data.
