Great video of beautiful Belgrade, the City where LOVE lives.
As for the oldest Culture's in Europe, they are:
VINCHA near Belgrade on the Danube river
STARCHEVO further down the Danube and
    LEPNSKI VIR also on Danube.
All 3 were on the territory of nowadays Serbia and were dated to be around 9.000 tears old. As for the Belgrade Fortress, it's been involved in over 100 battles and was destroyed and rebuild 44 times in its history, so yes, not every part of it is that old.

9000 years - that's crazy! Thanks for your input. Serbia is certainly un-rated. So much to see. Are you a fellow Serbian? Thanks for watching and subscribing

There is only one spot where the ramparts the oldest - less than 2000 years - are uncovered and can be seen, on the opposite side from where you were, near Zindan Gate. And those look much better as they are built by the Romans who liked to have nice walls on the outside of their fortresses. The rest of the ramparts are only a few hundred years old.

First fortress (eventually from earth and wood) built celt Scordiscs tribe 350bc and Belgrade than was called Singidun after local celto-scythian tribe, later came Romans and built first stone walls i presume...The old civilization you're talking about was settlements of first "Starčevo" 7000-5400 bc and later "Vinča" 6200-4500 bc cultures, and they are deep under Belgrade soil. It wasn't center in Belgrade location, it was proposed that it was oracle and settlement cuz it was near hill, cuz in that time of Matriarchal-Neolithic system they didn't go to war no fortified building was made, they were fishing, trading, smelting ores. So agricultural urbanized settlement was trading square roads center and east from today Belgrade location. It was in valley near river with trading boats marine, fishing and agriculture areas today location "Vinča". They also had first proto-writing system popular called "Vinčanica".

Most places in Belgrade accept Visa or Mastercard. American Express is not very popular. You should have some cash just in case. It is best to change money at exchange offices rather than banks, hotels, and the airport. The first civilization in Europe was the Vinca and Starcevo cultures by the Danube, in today's Serbia, yes. So, the oldest European civilization was not at the fortress, although the fortress is very old, from the Celts, Romans, etc. Nowadays, BC (before Christ) has been replaced with BCE (before common era).
