Dealer told me road tax (in WB)will be paid according to ex showroom price. As I had seen your video, I told him it is not correct. I told him it is paid on invoice price + cess( excluding GST). He said he registeres new vehicle everyday and he knows for sure and my information was incorrect. I asked him to show me on paper where is the calculation mentioned as stated by him. Eventually I was right, I paid tax on invoice +cess I think you know it already and it’s slipped from your mind. I want to reiterate road tax is applicable on invoice + cess and not alone on invoice price. Thank you for educating a lot of us.
@@devashishsingh1429 ex showroom price = basic price + 28% GST + 20 % Cess. ( gst and cess can be different in your case) In my case, tax was applicable on basic price + cess. You can check your cars basic price from the car dealer.
The biggest flex of BH number is police do not stop you while traveling in state highways from one state to another because they cannot raise baseless objections. In addition, staying in a different state for a few days as well does not give the owner headache as traffic offers tend to let go and instead focus on the state specific numbers.
But in Ch. Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) of MH the Traffic Hawaldar Mr. Kamble stopped my Car by seeing the opportunity seek bribe as he thought the No. is from BiHar or elsewhere. He was still unaware of there is any BH series still after 2 years. It was very bad experience to deal with him, as he disheartened by losing the so called opportunity to harrass people who are outsiders/with number plate other than MH-20 ... of that city, so he suddenly fined me falsely claiming for "Jumping the Signal" which was totally wrong. This is absurd, weierd and irony here in Aurangabad/Ch.Sambhajinagar
bro i have PB high security plate on my bikes and cars and i moved from punjab to haryana and its been 3 years and iam running with PB numbers and nobody till date stopped me for my number. i go to delhi rajasthan very frequently there also nobody stopped me and punjab rto office told me that if have high security number plate than u can go to any state nobody will stop you for ur number . recently i went to himachal and jammu there also nobody stopped me

I was facing the same issue in Bangalore, Karnataka. Even after having a job in a company having offices in more than 15 states, they refused me to give BH no.series. Then I asked a dealer of my hometown (Bhopal, M.P.). He did all the groundwork, took all the required documents and provided me with the BH. registration no. as he promised before booking. Kudos to him.
I have taken BH series and it's excellent... I took it in indore MP amd saved a bit of road tax part... It beneficial but now the RTO is denying I had all papers so got it in first slot in MP

In rajasthan RTO, they asked to pay tax on ex-showroom price and not on invoice value, for BH series. Also when we call Ministry of Road and transport, they told that tax collection for bh series is state matter.
Renewed my registration for a 22BH***** this January. The process was pretty easy & straightforward.This information in video is incorrect: - resubmitting the working certificate is not required, just pay the next slot tax via parivahan portal and you're good to go - The vehicle is registered for 15years as per RC
It was hustlefree for me.. I did it in Nashik, Maharashtra in May'22 as a Private Sector employee. All I've to face was the confusion of how to do the process. Mine was the very earliest BH passing car over here and I guess first for the dealer for a Private Sector employee.. with lots of assistance from me they finally did it on 4th day 😅 And yes! Police don't mess with me after having a look at the number for sure 😅😂
True I also was one of the early birds for dealers in Pune, except twice asking for format changes in vat proof (basically all details in single page) didn't face any hurdle.

That's correct . I have contacted Bangalore RTO, raise RTI ( They disposed of), raised complain with Traffic department. They are even not interested to publish the circular. Bangalore RTO is not interested to provide BH series to eligible private employees. Such a headache. people are buying new cars from Delhi & transporting it her in Bangalore.
2 saal pahle Karnataka me BH series li. Abhi online tax pay Kiya, koi problem nhi hui. Getting BH series was really difficult. RTO people were not familiar with the process and tried everything to discourage me. But I didn't give up and finally succeeded.😊
The parivahan portal is accepting online renewal currently without any form 60. Just pay the tax online via card/netbanking and renew twice for 4 years onwards. This will help avoid the future changes to the process of renewal

Got my BH series in 2022 from Ghaziabad (UP) RTO. Only additional criteria was that the dealership asked me to visit RTO in person and submit the forms. Which was not required for normal number plates. Edit: 2 years gone and I had to pay renewal tax, it was far more easier than the registration process. Just logon to the Parvahan website and done. New RC details automatically updated online. 0 hassles.
I think the better solution would be to get NOC online as well as get transfer certificate and road tax transfer online for new state. More than money, the biggest problem is making rounds and rounds of Government offices where skeletons are sitting and knowing the job will not be done anytime soon and then getting refunds from the previous state. If the process can be shifted online, I do not even care for a BH series number plate
The problem is , we have to visit always RTO for completing the NOC process even system is made for online NOC process , the RTO officer will hold online process of NOC with any minor comments to force you to visit him to pay something. this the ground reality of any online process for any Govt office.
This is true. Kerala govt says it won't honour BH series number plates. You will have to pay state tax even with BH series. There are many other states with same policy.
Which other states are you referring to? It's only happening in KL. Most of the states are doing the BH registration for both central govt and private employees, some states are currently doing registration only for central govt employees. But KL is the only state which has not started any BH registration and on top of that they are harassing BH series owners to pay state tax after one month. Pathetic!

Also one more thing if you are re registering the car in the same state rto where you registered bh series already paid tax will also get deducted from the 15 years tax.

It is very good and easy process. And everything is online. Itna paisa bach raha hai. Usi RC ka loan interest bahut ho jata. Jab bechne ki baat aayegi to ya to agla pay karega tax us state ka ya aap utne paise gaadi ke kum kar do. Jab bechna hai to itna kya sochna. 2 saal pe govt paper to mangegi hi. Usme galat kya hai? Naukri me ho to de do paper. Online upload ho jata hai. It is very good initiative by govt. Every point is valid.
Sometimes in coprrate sector we do not have the presence of company in more than 4 states so it's difficult when we switch jobs and place to generate papers every time agan good initiate and pathetic execution by govt. Sabhi individuals ko dedo na bh series and khatam karo state wise tax atleast for normal individuals
I purchased car in this April with BH series from Mumbai. It was very smooth process. The smoothness also depends in the employer to give Form 60. My employer wasted my 2 months and still didn't give me. Luckily, my wives new employer issued us Form 60 and rest of the process was easy. I am aware about Karnataka situation as my brother in law purchased car at the same from Bangalore but RTO over there have not started implementation of BH series for Pvt employees.
@@ChetanFirodiya I am not sure but I don't expect there to be any concern as far as you pay your dues on time. The only issue could be at a time of selling your car, as you would be required to get a buyer who has eligibility to get BH series 🤔
Great initiative but poor implementation that is what BH series no. Plate is. Really sad state of affairs in some states, eg: Karnataka where despite high court order no action by the state govt to provide BH no. Series for private employees.
Same here, waited for the implementation, didn't happen. So got the BH from MH easily and drove to Bangalore :), going smooth so far. Hardly 1-2% people would be eligible for this BH even in KA. Though tax goes to central, what KA RTO is missing on the GST collection on sale of unit..
dear friend, this is not true.. i own BH series xuv700 since 2021, registration valid till 2036, only we need to pay tax after every 2 years, if not paid, 2/3 reminder would be sent by RTO , then cancellation process may raise.. its not like didn't paid or changed job will revoke eligibility... wrong information, pls verify on authentic source only i.e government portal only..
The RTO authority in Noida is asking documents in addition to Form 60 such as: 1. Separate GST Certificates of the offices mentioned in Form 60 2. A letter from the HR that clearly states that the job is transferable 3. Some agents are even asking for 3 years of ITR. So either the ground level staff is not competent enough or they are being instructed to discourage the car owners against BH registration.
@@rishik1989 I did. It took 1 month to get the number assigned. I had to do multiple follow-ups to get a response. I was even called to the Noida RTO Office in-person to verify all the documents again. Got the registration plate after 5 days and physical RC after 45 more days.
I recently took a BH number. One point that you have missed is on the actual registration cost. Although it is not clearly reasoned in the govt notification, while paying 2 years tax govt charges 25% extra premium. In my case I was expecting the tax to be 14% but it came out to be 17.5% (14% + 25% of 14%).
I was pushed back to opt for BH series number by dealer quoting the same reasons narrated in this video. Dealers don’t provide support to register BH series vehicle in Karnataka although you comply with requirements. Finally, had to go for KA registration. The issues narrated makes me feel better.

I am in Maharashtra. Have taken BH series number and don't face any issue. Showrooms tried to convince not to take non BH series but if customer is rigid then no one can stop you.
@@sanjayshimpi1026 there is nothing called as central government in BH number. Only criteria is that if you are working in a MNC and your office minimum 5 offices across the different states in India then you are eligible.
UPDATE! I paid my RTO instalment recently here in MAHARASHTRA. it was so easy. Opened the parivahan websites and just put my car registration details and paid money for next 2 years using credit card 😅 10mins process neither i have asked to show documents

Kindly understand that these policies are made by policymakers (IASofficers ) for their own benifit not for the common man ( private sector employees). That's why when they see that people are actually able to take advantage of their policy they tweak it accordingly. So be a sincere tax payer 😎.
I from Bangalore and working for an MNC and eligible for BH series . Even though high court asked to provide BH Series who are eligible , transport department is not ready to provide BH series to private employees. Waiting for more than 1.6 years but no luck hence planning to get the vehicle from other state which is providing BH series for private employees
I did the same, working in Bangalore in an MNC but the RTO rejected my application, got my car from Delhi and drove it here. Karnataka would soon realise that by doing this they are loosing on BH series number revenue and I hope they get their policies straighten out.
You need to ask to dealer to register the car at invoice price. Yes there is confusion prevailing but you have to push for it. 2nd if they ask for form 60 again, it will be a real problem since you have to go through pain of begging the HR for the same every 2 years. As far as selling it to non BH person, it is possible. Now the parivahan website is showing option to convert it to state registration. Same can also be done for state to BH but website still yet to enable the option.
Biggest problem is when including rto and dealers asking Form 60 from central government employees. And most importantly, it’s clearly mentioned that form 60 in case of private sector employees …..
1. Once issued the BH series number should not be changed. The rule of giving proof every two years should be removed. We all should file a petition for that. When other documents like income proof, Aadhar, PAN etc. are checked only once then the same should be applicable here. 2. One nation one number should be encouraged and for that they should make this BH series number available to all.
I have 5 years service left in Central government. After 5 years I may not be able to submit form 60. So do I have to re-register to state registration? Form 60 to be submitted every 2 years?
RTO officials of my district told me that we don't need to submit form 60 again as then the whole registration process has to be made every 2 years which makes no sense at all. But in the official document it is no where mentioned that we have to show form 60 again. Guess we'll get to know this once people start renewing their bh registration by the end of this year
Sir since you don't know how India polity works, so you are able to comment like that. Once u know the complications of India Polity then you will be happy that atleast we have a BH Series.
No need to submit form 60 again after 2 year. In the gazette notification, it is written that in case of transfer of vehicle to new owner, the registration will be valid till the date for which road tax is paid . Not for all
I bought XUV700 in 2022 March with BH series, and tax was taken approx 60K which should be 31K as per the calculator on your website. What can be done in this situation.
My XUV 700 got BH Series in Lucknow without any problem, and Registration number alloted within a week, Tax was calculated on Invoice Amount.I am in a private Sector job with offices in more than 4 states. It is easy and Mahindra sales team helped a lot.
I got my honda city last month. I opted for BH series and I got the number, but the road tax was charged on ex showroom price. So eventually I paid tax on tax. I had a lot of discussion with dealership regarding this but they shown me many others tax receipt of other vehicles where it is charged on ex showroom only. I gave them the govt circular as well, but they said ki sir if we dont pay this much tax , your registration will not be processed by RTO. I paid 25702 as road tax for honda city V MT which is shown as 11450 rs on your website.
Good information. Only the transfer of ownership seems to be a hassle. Otherwise BH is letting you go a model/variant above with your current budget. And even if you are not eligible for the BH series after some time, you can simply pay the road tax on pro-rata basis for the number of years left. I am aware during re-registration, the discount provided on invoice value is not a lot, but still it is manageable. The biggest hassle of de-register and re-registering your car from one state to another is a financial nightmare. You are not sure if you will get the road tax you paid in previous state. and then you pay almost full tax (MH has very bad taxation slab for re-registering vehicles) around 80% tax. This and only this is the reason I would choose BH over normal registration
I am surprised, the video is 1 day old but you've missed the correct update on renewal, it has already been implemented. In case you want to know, renewal has already been implemented in parivahan. I have cleared another term road tax and no proof required for the same as of now. May be they can implement in the future as one of the clause suggests, but atleast, not needed for now. Thus, I would recommend anybody who has availed BH series number to clear the road tax for next 2 terms (another 4 years) ASAP to avoid the need to resubmit Form 60 in case they bring such thing to the portal. I got my BH series vehicle from MH on March 2023, I live in Bangalore, brought the car next day, BH was issued in 4 hrs to me, so it was easy to get.

Dear sir , I have taken the bh number and calculated the tax after seeing my car helpline at the time of purchase. In ir website no where it was mentioned the tax should be calculated before gst and cess that is why I had paid extra tax. I clearly remember this thing because I am following you since long time.

Thank you sir for this video, I have been wondering why so less BH-registered cars on the road when it was to facilitate RTO woes for public relief. But it seems history will be repeated and there is no respite for people who have other state Reg No. plate cars. There should be some fix to either reduce the road tax percentage or bring in some solution.
Same for West Bengal (Kolkata). I recently purchased my vehicle and the dealer said yes you'll get BH number plate and I provided everything but ended up with a normal number plate.
Another problem arises while buying insurance. Insurance companies do not recognise BH series numbers as a valid registration number. I was among the first few people who got the BH number as in when it was launched. I had to escalate the matter to the Insurance Ombudsman to get it resolved.
I just renewed it offline. Went to the Reliance General Insurance office and asked them to renew my OD insurance. Costs me 10k including a few add-ons.
I am working in pvt sector bank. Since my homestate Kerala is not allowing BH series registration at all, i have taken the BH series for my car from Mangalore where I am currently posted. Here I had to pay pro rata rate for 2 years for Ex- showroom price & not the invoice value...not at all clarity in many RTO about BH series...some how i scrapped through because of clarity of my car dealer since they had done this earlier...
People should have some awareness as to what is going on in the outside world. You cannot all the time rely on dealerships and RTO agents for all your work. BH registration is absolutely not cumbersome if you know your eligibility and some basic points from the Gazette of India on this BH series registration. I had absolutely no issues with BH regiatration.
Here are Amendment Excerpts ―Provided further that if a vehicle registered in BH-Series, is transferred in the name of such person who is not eligible for BH-Series, as per clause (ca) or (cb) of sub-rule (1) of rule 47, then such vehicle shall be liable for assignment of new registration mark from regular registration series prevailing in the concerned State/UT and such vehicle shall also be liable for motor vehicle tax as per the taxation rules of concerned State/UT. - Provided also that if at any time owner of vehicle registered in BH-Series, ceases to be eligible for BH-Series, as per clause (ca) and (cb) of sub-rule (1) of rule 47, then such vehicle shall continue to be registered under BH series for the remaining period for which tax has been paid.
I had same problem in Maharashtra , however i escalated both to TATA and the Dealer Garve Motors , this was resolved , i bought the Safari RDK model by paying only 33k Tax for 2 years , anyone who faces issues should escalate to Tata TSM and Dealership management
I have also purchased my car from Garve showroom but can you check road tax applied is on ex showroom price or invoice price? In my case it's applied on ex showroom price and not on invoice price
I am getting car from Tata motors as well. I have escalated to dealer that it should be on invoice excluding gst and cess. They were quoting absurd amount first now they are saying you're right. We generally tell higher side to customer then refund them lol. I don't believe their story
@@AvinashSangle This is fixed at Garve Tata Motors and i think it must be fixed with other dealers , the only thing you need to understand , ask and push for is the RTO is calculated on invoice price not showwroom prices , ask for breakup of the cost the devil lies in the details...so be aware and informed to ask
I bought a vehicle with BH series in Q423, the showroom guys weren't aware of anything. they asked me to contact RTO, RTO told that all new vehicle registrations had to be done from the dealer end only. The dealer delayed the registration while discussing this matter with RTO POC and I had to pay a fine but i got the BH registration after 15 days. Also the road tax of 2 years was automatically calculated in the RTO portal on pre gst invoice value so no case of excess tax submission possible in here (UP).
FYI I got a BH number for my Son's Bike at Uttar Pradesh. I work for a MNC. It is all politics - non BJP states are not implementing this. I am based at Tamil Nadu, all these non BJP states are not yet aligned. RTO is a state subject, so they can override the central Govt. rules

India needs to completely revamp its RTO system. It's filled with corrupt & useless babus & is a pain for everyone who deals with them. Hello sir, I am from Kolkata, WB. I work in the registration department of a hyundai dealership here. Thankfully there is no problem regarding the BH number either the customer is working in a MNC having office in 4 or more states or is a govt. employee. We here provide every eligible customer the BH number meeting the criteria slated by the govt.
I have been driving my MP series number plate car in Mumbai for the last 7 years. Not even once has any policeman stopped me for this. I was once challaned for traffic light violation, but policeman wrote the MP number on the challan and only fined me for the traffic light violation. Didn't say a word about MP registration.

Dealer told me road tax (in WB)will be paid according to ex showroom price. As I had seen your video, I told him it is not correct. I told him it is paid on invoice price + cess( excluding GST). He said he registeres new vehicle everyday and he knows for sure and my information was incorrect. I asked him to show me on paper where is the calculation mentioned as stated by him. Eventually I was right, I paid tax on invoice +cess
I think you know it already and it’s slipped from your mind. I want to reiterate road tax is applicable on invoice + cess and not alone on invoice price.

In my case, tax was applicable on basic price + cess.
You can check your cars basic price from the car dealer.
Gujarat is best, only 6% tax on Invoice Price :), although I am a govt employee and eligible for BH, I opted for GJ no and saved a lot of money.

The biggest flex of BH number is police do not stop you while traveling in state highways from one state to another because they cannot raise baseless objections. In addition, staying in a different state for a few days as well does not give the owner headache as traffic offers tend to let go and instead focus on the state specific numbers.
But in Ch. Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) of MH the Traffic Hawaldar Mr. Kamble stopped my Car by seeing the opportunity seek bribe as he thought the No. is from BiHar or elsewhere. He was still unaware of there is any BH series still after 2 years. It was very bad experience to deal with him, as he disheartened by losing the so called opportunity to harrass people who are outsiders/with number plate other than MH-20 ... of that city, so he suddenly fined me falsely claiming for "Jumping the Signal" which was totally wrong. This is absurd, weierd and irony here in Aurangabad/Ch.Sambhajinagar

What I feel is that BH registration is useful for Central GOVERNMENT Transferable employees who have sufficiently long service still left.

I was facing the same issue in Bangalore, Karnataka. Even after having a job in a company having offices in more than 15 states, they refused me to give BH no.series. Then I asked a dealer of my hometown (Bhopal, M.P.). He did all the groundwork, took all the required documents and provided me with the BH. registration no. as he promised before booking. Kudos to him.

In rajasthan RTO, they asked to pay tax on ex-showroom price and not on invoice value, for BH series.
Also when we call Ministry of Road and transport, they told that tax collection for bh series is state matter.
Renewed my registration for a 22BH***** this January. The process was pretty easy & straightforward.This information in video is incorrect:
- resubmitting the working certificate is not required, just pay the next slot tax via parivahan portal and you're good to go
- The vehicle is registered for 15years as per RC

That's correct . I have contacted Bangalore RTO, raise RTI ( They disposed of), raised complain with Traffic department. They are even not interested to publish the circular. Bangalore RTO is not interested to provide BH series to eligible private employees. Such a headache. people are buying new cars from Delhi & transporting it her in Bangalore.

2 saal pahle Karnataka me BH series li. Abhi online tax pay Kiya, koi problem nhi hui. Getting BH series was really difficult. RTO people were not familiar with the process and tried everything to discourage me. But I didn't give up and finally succeeded.😊

The parivahan portal is accepting online renewal currently without any form 60. Just pay the tax online via card/netbanking and renew twice for 4 years onwards. This will help avoid the future changes to the process of renewal

Got my BH series in 2022 from Ghaziabad (UP) RTO. Only additional criteria was that the dealership asked me to visit RTO in person and submit the forms. Which was not required for normal number plates.
Edit: 2 years gone and I had to pay renewal tax, it was far more easier than the registration process. Just logon to the Parvahan website and done. New RC details automatically updated online. 0 hassles.

I think the better solution would be to get NOC online as well as get transfer certificate and road tax transfer online for new state. More than money, the biggest problem is making rounds and rounds of Government offices where skeletons are sitting and knowing the job will not be done anytime soon and then getting refunds from the previous state. If the process can be shifted online, I do not even care for a BH series number plate
The problem is , we have to visit always RTO for completing the NOC process even system is made for online NOC process , the RTO officer will hold online process of NOC with any minor comments to force you to visit him to pay something.

This is true. Kerala govt says it won't honour BH series number plates. You will have to pay state tax even with BH series. There are many other states with same policy.

Most of the states are doing the BH registration for both central govt and private employees, some states are currently doing registration only for central govt employees. But KL is the only state which has not started any BH registration and on top of that they are harassing BH series owners to pay state tax after one month. Pathetic!

Also one more thing if you are re registering the car in the same state rto where you registered bh series already paid tax will also get deducted from the 15 years tax.

It is very good and easy process. And everything is online. Itna paisa bach raha hai. Usi RC ka loan interest bahut ho jata. Jab bechne ki baat aayegi to ya to agla pay karega tax us state ka ya aap utne paise gaadi ke kum kar do. Jab bechna hai to itna kya sochna. 2 saal pe govt paper to mangegi hi. Usme galat kya hai? Naukri me ho to de do paper. Online upload ho jata hai. It is very good initiative by govt. Every point is valid.
Sometimes in coprrate sector we do not have the presence of company in more than 4 states so it's difficult when we switch jobs and place to generate papers every time agan good initiate and pathetic execution by govt. I purchased car in this April with BH series from Mumbai. It was very smooth process. The smoothness also depends in the employer to give Form 60. My employer wasted my 2 months and still didn't give me. Luckily, my wives new employer issued us Form 60 and rest of the process was easy.
I am aware about Karnataka situation as my brother in law purchased car at the same from Bangalore but RTO over there have not started implementation of BH series for Pvt employees.

Great initiative but poor implementation that is what BH series no. Plate is. Really sad state of affairs in some states, eg: Karnataka where despite high court order no action by the state govt to provide BH no. Series for private employees.
Same here, waited for the implementation, didn't happen. So got the BH from MH easily and drove to Bangalore :), going smooth so far. Hardly 1-2% people would be eligible for this BH even in KA. Though tax goes to central, what KA RTO is missing on the GST collection on sale of unit..

dear friend, this is not true.. i own BH series xuv700 since 2021, registration valid till 2036, only we need to pay tax after every 2 years, if not paid, 2/3 reminder would be sent by RTO , then cancellation process may raise.. its not like didn't paid or changed job will revoke eligibility... wrong information, pls verify on authentic source only i.e government portal only..
The RTO authority in Noida is asking documents in addition to Form 60 such as:
1. Separate GST Certificates of the offices mentioned in Form 60
2. A letter from the HR that clearly states that the job is transferable
3. Some agents are even asking for 3 years of ITR.
So either the ground level staff is not competent enough or they are being instructed to discourage the car owners against BH registration.

@@rishik1989 I did. It took 1 month to get the number assigned. I had to do multiple follow-ups to get a response. I was even called to the Noida RTO Office in-person to verify all the documents again. Got the registration plate after 5 days and physical RC after 45 more days.

I recently took a BH number. One point that you have missed is on the actual registration cost. Although it is not clearly reasoned in the govt notification, while paying 2 years tax govt charges 25% extra premium. In my case I was expecting the tax to be 14% but it came out to be 17.5% (14% + 25% of 14%).

I was pushed back to opt for BH series number by dealer quoting the same reasons narrated in this video. Dealers don’t provide support to register BH series vehicle in Karnataka although you comply with requirements. Finally, had to go for KA registration.
The issues narrated makes me feel better.

I am in Maharashtra. Have taken BH series number and don't face any issue. Showrooms tried to convince not to take non BH series but if customer is rigid then no one can stop you.

I did the same, working in Bangalore in an MNC but the RTO rejected my application, got my car from Delhi and drove it here. Karnataka would soon realise that by doing this they are loosing on BH series number revenue and I hope they get their policies straighten out.
You can buy the car from other state and get it registered from there
You need to ask to dealer to register the car at invoice price. Yes there is confusion prevailing but you have to push for it. 2nd if they ask for form 60 again, it will be a real problem since you have to go through pain of begging the HR for the same every 2 years. As far as selling it to non BH person, it is possible. Now the parivahan website is showing option to convert it to state registration. Same can also be done for state to BH but website still yet to enable the option.
Biggest problem is when including rto and dealers asking Form 60 from central government employees. And most importantly, it’s clearly mentioned that form 60 in case of private sector employees …..
Its very easy process in RAJASTHAN, i got my BH number easily
1. Once issued the BH series number should not be changed. The rule of giving proof every two years should be removed. We all should file a petition for that.
When other documents like income proof, Aadhar, PAN etc. are checked only once then the same should be applicable here.
2. One nation one number should be encouraged and for that they should make this BH series number available to all.

RTO officials of my district told me that we don't need to submit form 60 again as then the whole registration process has to be made every 2 years which makes no sense at all.
But in the official document it is no where mentioned that we have to show form 60 again.
Guess we'll get to know this once people start renewing their bh registration by the end of this year

I bought XUV700 in 2022 March with BH series, and tax was taken approx 60K which should be 31K as per the calculator on your website. What can be done in this situation.

I got my honda city last month. I opted for BH series and I got the number, but the road tax was charged on ex showroom price. So eventually I paid tax on tax. I had a lot of discussion with dealership regarding this but they shown me many others tax receipt of other vehicles where it is charged on ex showroom only. I gave them the govt circular as well, but they said ki sir if we dont pay this much tax , your registration will not be processed by RTO.

Good information. Only the transfer of ownership seems to be a hassle. Otherwise BH is letting you go a model/variant above with your current budget. And even if you are not eligible for the BH series after some time, you can simply pay the road tax on pro-rata basis for the number of years left. I am aware during re-registration, the discount provided on invoice value is not a lot, but still it is manageable. The biggest hassle of de-register and re-registering your car from one state to another is a financial nightmare. You are not sure if you will get the road tax you paid in previous state. and then you pay almost full tax (MH has very bad taxation slab for re-registering vehicles) around 80% tax. This and only this is the reason I would choose BH over normal registration
I am surprised, the video is 1 day old but you've missed the correct update on renewal, it has already been implemented. In case you want to know, renewal has already been implemented in parivahan. I have cleared another term road tax and no proof required for the same as of now. May be they can implement in the future as one of the clause suggests, but atleast, not needed for now. Thus, I would recommend anybody who has availed BH series number to clear the road tax for next 2 terms (another 4 years) ASAP to avoid the need to resubmit Form 60 in case they bring such thing to the portal. I got my BH series vehicle from MH on March 2023, I live in Bangalore, brought the car next day, BH was issued in 4 hrs to me, so it was easy to get.

@@ukrpatra go to vahan.parivahan.gov.in/vahanservice/vahan/ui/statevalidation/homepage.xhtml, provide your state, RTO and registration details, this will take you to an Option to pay road tax, select for next 2 years and pay. No proof needed. It would be done in 5 mins.

Dear sir , I have taken the bh number and calculated the tax after seeing my car helpline at the time of purchase. In ir website no where it was mentioned the tax should be calculated before gst and cess that is why I had paid extra tax. I clearly remember this thing because I am following you since long time.

I took BH reg for my fronx vehicle from Karnataka, me also had to pay tax acc to the ex showroom price I argued the RTO person regarding the same invoice price ..but they denied and need to pay more ..sir is there any provision to get the extra amount back …

Thank you sir for this video, I have been wondering why so less BH-registered cars on the road when it was to facilitate RTO woes for public relief. But it seems history will be repeated and there is no respite for people who have other state Reg No. plate cars. There should be some fix to either reduce the road tax percentage or bring in some solution.
Same for West Bengal (Kolkata). I recently purchased my vehicle and the dealer said yes you'll get BH number plate and I provided everything but ended up with a normal number plate.
Another problem arises while buying insurance.
Insurance companies do not recognise BH series numbers as a valid registration number.
I was among the first few people who got the BH number as in when it was launched.
I had to escalate the matter to the Insurance Ombudsman to get it resolved.
That's not an issue now

I just renewed it offline. Went to the Reliance General Insurance office and asked them to renew my OD insurance. Costs me 10k including a few add-ons.
I am working in pvt sector bank. Since my homestate Kerala is not allowing BH series registration at all, i have taken the BH series for my car from Mangalore where I am currently posted. Here I had to pay pro rata rate for 2 years for Ex- showroom price & not the invoice value...not at all clarity in many RTO about BH series...some how i scrapped through because of clarity of my car dealer since they had done this earlier...

People should have some awareness as to what is going on in the outside world. You cannot all the time rely on dealerships and RTO agents for all your work. BH registration is absolutely not cumbersome if you know your eligibility and some basic points from the Gazette of India on this BH series registration. I had absolutely no issues with BH regiatration.

―Provided further that if a vehicle registered in BH-Series, is transferred in the name of such person
who is not eligible for BH-Series, as per clause (ca) or (cb) of sub-rule (1) of rule 47, then such vehicle shall be liable for assignment of new registration mark from regular registration series prevailing in the concerned State/UT and such vehicle shall also be liable for motor vehicle tax as per the taxation rules of concerned State/UT.
- Provided also that if at any time owner of vehicle registered in BH-Series, ceases to be eligible for BH-Series, as per clause (ca) and (cb) of sub-rule (1) of rule 47, then such vehicle shall continue to be registered under BH series for the remaining period for which tax has been paid.

I had same problem in Maharashtra , however i escalated both to TATA and the Dealer Garve Motors , this was resolved , i bought the Safari RDK model by paying only 33k Tax for 2 years , anyone who faces issues should escalate to Tata TSM and Dealership management

In my case it's applied on ex showroom price and not on invoice price

I am getting car from Tata motors as well. I have escalated to dealer that it should be on invoice excluding gst and cess. They were quoting absurd amount first now they are saying you're right. We generally tell higher side to customer then refund them lol. I don't believe their story

@@AvinashSangle This is fixed at Garve Tata Motors and i think it must be fixed with other dealers , the only thing you need to understand , ask and push for is the RTO is calculated on invoice price not showwroom prices , ask for breakup of the cost the devil lies in the details...so be aware and informed to ask
I bought a vehicle with BH series in Q423, the showroom guys weren't aware of anything. they asked me to contact RTO, RTO told that all new vehicle registrations had to be done from the dealer end only. The dealer delayed the registration while discussing this matter with RTO POC and I had to pay a fine but i got the BH registration after 15 days. Also the road tax of 2 years was automatically calculated in the RTO portal on pre gst invoice value so no case of excess tax submission possible in here (UP).
FYI I got a BH number for my Son's Bike at Uttar Pradesh. I work for a MNC. It is all politics - non BJP states are not implementing this. I am based at Tamil Nadu, all these non BJP states are not yet aligned. RTO is a state subject, so they can override the central Govt. rules
Nothing like that, incompetent state govts and RTO are not implementing this। Haryana is rules by BJP but doesn't allow BH registration

Is there something which i can do to get the refund or adjust this in the next tax payment?

Hello sir, I am from Kolkata, WB. I work in the registration department of a hyundai dealership here. Thankfully there is no problem regarding the BH number either the customer is working in a MNC having office in 4 or more states or is a govt. employee. We here provide every eligible customer the BH number meeting the criteria slated by the govt.

I have been driving my MP series number plate car in Mumbai for the last 7 years. Not even once has any policeman stopped me for this.
I was once challaned for traffic light violation, but policeman wrote the MP number on the challan and only fined me for the traffic light violation. Didn't say a word about MP registration.

BH series, the process associated and the information is not globally (means in PAN India) introduced and not being educated well enough to facilitate the end customers. It’s a struggle like generic medicines.
For my vehicle, I paid huge taxes in Karnataka while interstate RTO re-registration.

Thank you for this video. We salaried, just tend to accept the pain and just to stay away from these problems, we pay tax and keep our mouth shut. While the policy is very good, looks like implementation is very poor. Now I am thinking to avoid BH series registration
