Shabani pushed Nene while she was eating, and her son Kiyomasa was furious when he saw it.
Later, Nene became furious when Shabani pushed Kiyomasa, who was chasing him.
The situation was tense, but slowly the whole group regained their composure as Shabani climbed to the top of the playground equipment
After a while, Shabani approached Kiyomasa and they began to play together as before.
Their bond is so strong that it cannot be easily broken.

I've noticed whenever a Silverback messes with a female, the female gets angry and chases the bad boy, and then he runs away like a big chicken.
It makes me wonder if the Silverback does that just to get a rise out of the females.

He didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed. He is showing his dominance to those two that kept challenging him over the past couple months. Especially nene.

Great video. I like how Kiyomoso has learned to de-escalate very effectively while still "standing up" to his father a great deal.
And especially towards the end, where it's clear Kiyomasa and Shabani have made up when they start playing together.

This video showed why I love the gorilla family so much.There is a hierarchy in place and roles each member plays.Shabani is my favorite Silverback that I have followed for 7+ yrs.He is the leader.i don't pretend I understand why he does things the way he does.But he has many responsibilities.They each have such loyalty and care for each other, even when there are issues between certain members.They band together to protect the one who needs protection.They may have beefs with each other,but not like us...they work it out.Kiyomasa, Duckie, is in silverback training and he has the best teacher.I love each member and have enjoyed every video of them growing up together.Thank you so much!😉🌻🦍🌻

@@MySkinnydip Don't tell Shabani this 🤫 but Momo is a close 2nd (close to a tie even) with his handsomeness for me. Momo's features are perfect and smooth. Even though he has a grumpy side, I personally think he can be such a sweetheart. (Like with that one young lady keeper. He's like a precious distinguished gentleman.) I'm so glad I discovered the gorilla community. You, lynn and everyone are so adorable and kind. I wish I discovered the gorilla world a long time ago!

Yeah I can tell Momotaro never really liked playing with any of his kids. He always has such a serious look on his face....he's very different from Shabani.
It's so odd the mood swings gorillas go through. It's like they are a different gorilla sometimes. Shabani was so patient with Kiyo before but now he is acting like Kiyo was and Kiyo is the one trying to defuse.

So cute the way Shabani always tries to play with his babies. He tries to play with Annie but she seems kind of aloof and scared of him. I think she is kind of aloof like her mom.

The Shabani family members are so close knit that I don't think anything could cause them to turn completely on one another. Yes, they have their outs, but they always make up. We can thank the great leader, Shabani for this. There's never a dull moment watching them. Great footage, great video JZ. PS: Ai💗

Poor NeNe she is struggling a lot lately,and gets picked on a lot sadly they all seem to pick on the weakest link.
I was totally impressed when she climbed up the ropes to get to the top of the tower.

This zoo will not participate in the exchange program so unfortunately this group of gorilla will not be happy or healthy. The son Kiyo should go to another zoo and shabani needs females that are not related to him.

I forgot at how intimidating he can be. I wonder what set him off a why he attacked poor Neene who just wants to be left alone an enjoy her food lol. Well good for Kiyo protecting mom. He’s usually the one teasing her.
I see play and instruction and dominance. Teaching his son how to be a silverback leader esp over the females, playful also. They could never over take him. Grooming his son as he should. Mom or not. Shabani know from instinct he will have to leave. Nothing new here.
Why Annie's belly so small? She is very thin. Usually gorillas' have large belly.

I feel so sorry for all zoo animals. They don't have enough space and are not living their best lives.
If you think that their bond can't be broken, just wait and see. As kyomasa gets bigger, they will start to see each other as rivals. The aggression and fighting will get much worse. Then there is no more bond. If they leave kyomasa here for too long, they may even try to kill each other.
That's what I'm dreading. 😔

@@lynngold1865 I don't agree with everything he says but he is right on this one. There are many videos about Silverback troops in the wild on TH-cam. It will show you the dynamics of the gorilla life. Also Google some info about gorillas and how they live and their diet. You will learn more about them than how they live in zoos.
