Better than Tropicool? Best roof paint for a bus or rv - Speakeasy Skoolie

We chose to use aerogel infused Rova Shield paint on our roof after doing a lot of research into what would be the best coating for the money on our roof
A lot of people use tropi-cool but that’s only silicone in paintable form. For a bit of insulation property as well as a 90% reflection rating Rova Sheild was simply the best to be found.
Even after the first coat in full sun the temperature difference on our roof went from - could not stand in bare feet - to - wow that’s remarkably cool!
Basically it’s awesome and it is blindingly white, almost like a bright white led light in your face!

You also need paint rollers and a mixing blade as well as tape - I recommend 2-3” wide tape.

We used the Rova HV aerogel paint on the hat channels and exposed metal interior surfaces as a heat break. It's amazing what a thin coat of that stuff will do. We're definitely thinking about the Rova Shield for our roof. Would love to get a follow up video on how well it performs over time!

No flaking, still clean and working perfectly. So much better than the silicone based ones, those ones just collect dirt like crazy. Definitely happy we went with this one
