Green tumb here. Pinch the seed pod right behind behind the dead bloom on your petunia's. Trim them back about the end of June and fertilize for a second burst of color. Love your Bird feeder. Your porch is delightful.
🌸🌺🌼.....ahhhhh my goodness i was super super excited when i seen you was working outside....i literally take down notes on the flowers you get and how you take care of them and where you place them...i love your amazing green thumb....my mommy had a superb green thumb just like you do but as for me my green thumb has gangrene....i try but most of the time they look the best when i purchase them and then they go down from there ....😂😳....🥀....your back deck looks incredible and there was little Remi....i loved seeing your beautiful family hunting Easter eggs....that was sooooo sooooo precious sweetie....i pray Gods blessings continue to flow mightily on your wonderful channel....this world needs more people and channels just like you ....

My HERO pulled weeds and added pine straw to our front flower beds today!!!! I don't work in the yard...just work with deck plants!!!!!

Leaving dead leaves and pine needles in your container plants ( covering the soil) actually helps hold in moisture and turns into compost over time. I always cover my container plants with leaves before winter sets in.
I have some mums that have survived for three years outside using the leaves method.
Also if you thoroughly water your plants a day before feeding them they hold in the food much better, meaning the soil is not too dry that the food runs through the soil.

Love this video! My husband and I are empty nesters as well and we have 3 grandchildren with another one due in June. We both love to be in the yard working our flower beds, doing yard work and my husband also has a landscape pond that he built with gorgeous waterfalls and we are getting the plants and flowers planted around that this spring ❤

I do not have a green thumb! But I can appreciate those of you who do. The only inside plants I have are Pothos (spelling?). I rely heavily on faux plants…no watering necessary…lol. I do love that pink Hydrangeas. Hugs from your PA friend ❤️❤️ xoxo
Hi Robin! Now you know I love when you head outdoors. I have lots of plants in my apartment and when the weekend hit we head to our country home where we have a large garden. We have lots of hydrangeas in the garden and they do very well. I do have a gardener though because we're not at the home full time and I want to relax a bit during the weekend but I think I have a green thumb - of course the internet helps me a lot! 🤣Love the clips of the kids at Easter! Love to watch the birds come to feed. Too many squirrels at my house for bird feeders. Yard work is hard but looks so good all cleaned up. I haven't started yet, maybe next week. Beautiful plants Robin.

Love the flowers you got. My favorite is the geranium and coleus. And the Gerber daisy's are so pretty. Love playing in the dirt. I can spend all day playing around with NY potted plants. Your porches look great. ❤

Hi Robin, wishing you and your beautiful family a blessed and wonderful Easter! I can't wait to buy some plants. Right now I have tulips, hyacinths and daffodils in bloom in my gardens. Here in Jersey we have to wait until Mother's Day to plant the flowers you were planting. Then near Memorial Day for out tomatoes and peppers garden. ❤

Love your porch. I wanted to share some tips to consider. I have hosts in planters , they are beautiful and come back year after year. They would do great on your covered porch plus saves money. Give ferns Epsom salt and they will be so green and lush. I water mine from the top and they are always gorgeous. Also recommend miracle bloom booster for all flowering plants. Happy Gardening. It is my passion!

The 4” plants are $1.25 ea. I think I sold out of the small Mexican heather. They were out of the small when I went but I have some larger that are $7. That is a Kimberly fern. They are very hearty. I always love you to support our little business. ❤️❤️❤️

The light you put in the yellow plant pot has a spike in the bottom of it. Pull it out and push opposite end in the light and the spike push into the pot.

So gorgeous and great prices. The few flowers I bought last year at Lowe's were like 3X higher than previous years. I love little places like that. Most of them have disappeared. My green thumb has gotten browner and browner throughout the years! The only things that survived for me last year were the coleus and impatiens which are usually the first to go in the heat and dry. No gardening for me this year unless we find a new rental like tomorrow! Starting to pack a few things up to go into storage. and going to clean out the shed and garage before it gets super hot here. Love the babies egg hunt ❤

Oh how I wish I could do what you are doing.had some warm days but back to 40s and suppose to get down to the 30s this week. Loved the purple plants.so so pretty.mama could get anything to grow and had a yard full of flowers.loved the sweet peas growing up her yard fence.❤❤❤

Girrrrrl!!! My thumb is so far from green, it’s as black as an ace of spades! 😂 I killed a cactus one time. No joke!! It turned to water!! 😂😂 So no real plants inside. But I do love my hostas outside and a few irises.

I love planting flowers and taking care of them and watching them grow. However we have developed a deer problem where I live. They eat absolutely everything I plant. I googled flowers that deer hate and planted those last year and they ate them. Flowers are to expensive to feed them to the deer. This year I'm probably only getting hanging baskets and some flowers for my back deck. I wish I had rails around my front porch. I looked out my kitchen window last summer and a deer had its head stretched as far as it could on my front porch eating my flowers. I'm going to miss all of my beautiful flowers this year.😔 What is the name of the beautiful purple flowers you have? Another question do they like shade? Thank you Robin. I agree with you....I leave my bunnies up for all of spring and not just Easter. Love the flowers! I can't wait to get to working on my landscape beds outside. You mentioned your grandmother using coffee cans...well, I use them as well along with the really large vegetable cans and drill holes in the bottom as well for drainage. Then I spray paint them and then using a small round sponge dobber thing to paint white polka dots on the cans and then I drill a hole on 2 sides of the cans and use old wire coat hangers to make a handle for the can so that I can hang them from hooks around the yard. I have them in my front and back yards. They look so cute with flowers and sweet potato vine plants growing in them. Here's a link to the video on my channel from last summer showing my backyard. Your back deck and front porch look great! I don't really think of myself as having a green thumb, but I do have a lot of plants. They only survive by the grace of God - not because of anything I do! I tend to overwater my plants also. Such great Easter memories with your family!
