Ugh. I hate being stuck out in the suburbs. Love that whole Dupont, Logan, U Street, Columbia Heights area. Last time I was over there, I saw a couple really cool looking places on 15th or 16th. I realize that even after living in the area for 15 years and working in the city for 6 of those years, I don't think I've spent any real time on H Street, which seems weird. I'll have to change that. But NOMA, especially near Union Market is really cool. Personally, I'm leaning toward the Eastern Market area, but it's all daydreaming for now. Cool video.
@@BashirBadruDMVRealtor I'm out in Fairfax County. Could be worse. I can get to downtown in about an hour & we have kind of a unicorn apartment, which makes leaving hard. Maybe one day, though.
@PatrickRockwell24 I'm not too worried. Crime is down generally, both on a national and local DC level. I don't have a car and I'm not looking to score street drugs, which eliminates a big chunk of the reasons for me to be targeted by criminals. Not to say things can't happen. But I'm more worried about being run over by a careless/reckless driver, something that's nearly happened to me dozens of times just in this year, than I am of being mugged or whatever.
I LOLed at "One thing I love about Columbia Heights is that there is always something going on." You ain't lying there. Just not in the way that people think.
It's so weird you didn't mention the crime in these areas. I live near u street and I have to move because the car jackings and mugging is out of control. This feels like a really biased coverage of dc
I hear you, but Regardless of the crime these still remain the neighborhoods that young professionals tend to flock to. This video wasn’t necessarily meant to be a video about the safety of the neighborhoods. Crime issues in 2024 in DC or any other big city isn’t really a secret at this point.

Can you do a video for professional empty nesters?
@@Ceileen27 sure, Thanks for the idea. Which neighborhoods around the DC area would you like insight on?

@@BashirBadruDMVRealtor but why encourage people to move to areas where they are likely to get mugged or car jacked?
Lost all credibility with that lol. Setting people up for failure.
Move to Boston. We dont have to worry about this crap. DC is a crime ridden hell hole.
@PatrickRockwell24bro, not everyone is living scared. You’re all over these comments talking about crime.
Crime is everywhere in America. I'm not worried about the crime.I'm worried about the rats😮
