Yeah, he wasn't being a dick or trying to punish him. He was just trying to enforce the noise limit laws to protect the community and he did it in a way to help him understand that he was breaking it. Even when he asked the guy recording to get back on the sidewalk, he was still exceedingly polite and respectful. You could tell he just wanted everyone to be safe. The fact he took the time to show him displayed that he really knew what he was doing and believed what he was doing was right. He did his job effectively but never disrespected anyone and was very reasonable while carrying himself in a professional manner. This is what a real police officer looks like.

For example, cops frequently fail to properly use their turn signal, fail to properly stop at Stop Signs, frequently exceed the posted speed limit, all during routine patrol or other routine driving. My ex-husband got a big ticket for having New York plates and license in L.A. when he had just started a post-doctoral fellowship at UCLA. He was driving an ancient Ford Country Squire station wagon, not a new Lamborghini. They made him get out of the car and sit down on a grassy patch while they decided what to do with him, which seemed excessive. This must be the excuse California cops use to harrass drivers who they're curious about for whatever reason.

When I was a teenager, I had a Honda Scrambler with the exhaust sawed off. I installed "Snuff-Or-Nots", which is like a washer that fits inside the pipe with a stem that goes up thru a little hole to a knob on the top of the exhaust. Turn the knob to switch from full open pipes to "snuffed" pipes. I was riding a slight uphill with my exhaust open. My friend was on his brand-new Ducati. A cop went by in the other lane, heard my illegal open pipes, did a U-turn, and pulled us over. Well, while the cop was doing a U-turn, I reached back and closed my Snuff-Or-Nots. Cop pulled us over and made me rev my engine. The exhaust was nice and quiet. So then he made my friend rev his Ducati with a stock muffler and said it was too loud and wrote him a ticket saying he had to take the bike back and have the muffler fixed. So stupid.
He seemed at first as if he was going to give a hard time but then chilled out. At least we didn't get the whole license thing again. He watches the vids, he knows the score 😂

My ex-husband got a big ticket for having New York plates and license in L.A. when he had just started a post-doctoral fellowship at UCLA. He was driving an ancient Ford Country Squire station wagon, not a new Lamborghini. They made him get out of the car and sit down on a grassy patch while they decided what to do with him, which seemed excessive. This must be the excuse California cops use to harrass drivers who they're curious about for whatever reason.

@@boosteroids rewatch, he was walking to his car and the guy grabbed his arm within a millisecond of making the request. In CA that is defined as assault. Police can not touch someone who is complying.
@@alfonsom.9271 its just something that come cops are cautions about doing. usually you would get told once or twice before that happens. regardless that isn't how good cops address situations where civilians don't listen the first time.

When I was a teenager, I had a Honda Scrambler with the exhaust sawed off. I installed "Snuff-Or-Nots", which is like a washer that fits inside the pipe with a stem that goes up thru a little hole to a knob on the top of the exhaust. Turn the knob to switch from full open pipes to "snuffed" pipes. I was riding a slight uphill with my exhaust open. My friend was on his brand-new Ducati. A cop went by in the other lane, heard my illegal open pipes, did a U-turn, and pulled us over. Well, while the cop was doing a U-turn, I reached back and closed my Snuff-Or-Nots. Cop pulled us over and made me rev my engine. The exhaust was nice and quiet. So then he made my friend rev his Ducati with a stock muffler and said it was too loud and wrote him a ticket saying he had to take the bike back and have the muffler fixed. So stupid.
