      I watched the police shoot and kill a man who was trying to flee their pursuit. He was in a stolen car and was the primary suspect in a murder that had happened the day before, but I didn’t know any of that at the time. I just went from chatting with friends in front of the local Denny’s to watching a human being lose their life. It was a hard left turn for a Tuesday afternoon.
      The police proved to be legally above board in their approach, but it was extraordinarily traumatizing for me as a human being.

    You forgot to mention a lil fact about Seppuku...the Samurai would tuck their long sleeves under their legs so that they wouldn't fall backwards but forward when death took them. It was considered dishonorable to fall backwards.

    Yes, Woodstock wasn't supposed to have 1/2 a million people. There were problems. Also, in 1969 in the US acid was everywhere. The upside is that those "starving" people walking in raw sewage never got violent. Nobody died at Woodstock. There were no fights, even though so many people were drinking, smoking pot and taking lots of drugs.
    Woodstock could have gone horribly wrong, with dead bodies and violence, and that never happened.

    They paint the Post Mortem photography was very popular in the early 19th century. Photography was new and in its infancy. Some people wanting to pretend that I loved ones were still alive is to take a photo with them and have them stand or sit in a position where you can be next to them and they even paint the eyes and so it looks like they’re they are alive.😊

One guy killed himself shortly after returning... he was one of the victims of the festival and wasn't reported, due to "boys don't get raped like girls." 😔🥺 I think that Woodstock should had a notable mention at least, considering how much it had changed peoples' views about that festival.

    Sounds like Queen Elizabeth took notes from Victoria. She'd said to have been a very distant, uninvolved mother who was too busy for her children. And Victoria talked about ugly children...calling King Charles lol. He definitely looked like his father though. But Philip was more handsome. And she didn't understand William & Katie's interaction & involvement w their children. Back then kids were seen & not heard. Might explain why Charles is a terrible father

    The Council of Nicaea did not "decide which books were in the bible" by the strictest definition, for sure; however, to help resolve conflict they did make decisions that directly impacted the books included, how translations were implemented, etc. So there's a bit of truth to the myth, even if it is grossly exaggerated.

    This started to take on a leftist bent around the rock and roll section. The lewis and Clark part misleads about indians, the natives were desperate to be allies, indeed subjects of the US. They weren't threatened with the back powder and large air guns and cannon, they were impressed by them, and all of the many other seemingly miraculous implements and inventions of the Americans. The Sioux actually fought wars of annihilation against other tribes, among other earlier Canadian tribes, to secure exclusive trading rights and control of river routes. The Lakota were devious and deceptive so the company had to show strength in order to stave off violence. A custom of the indians. To show weakness meant that one deserved to be victimized. This program flat lied about the interaction.

      @Mr. 420
      The problem stems from American Christians, who make Nationalism and Patriotism their Religion. I've had Christians tell me, "The only real Bible is the 1611 King James Authorized version," and I counter, so Jesus, the Son of God, never spoke the Word of God? because he didn't speak English? because it wasn't a language yet? And they have no rebuttal.

      All religions are guilty of atrocious behaviour unfortunately. It was the fanatical church and greedy politicians that controlled Colonisation in the name of the British empire

    Dont fall for the samurai honor code hype, all retro romanticized. Foreigners at that time witness just the opposite, while there is no doubt such codes exist, who, how, when those honor codes were used matters. Remember samurai n shogun r not just warriors but also politicians, and bureaucrats. So u tell me which society has a history of honest politicians. Most of the time deceptions, assassinations, extortions, and as low down tactic as you can get to advance self or tribe interest. Moreover, pending which angle of perspective samurai n shogun alike practice the same Roman culture utilization of an young male apprenticeship, except apprentice not require. True romance is for male lover n the inconvenient of coitus with the opposite sex biologically necessary for offspring. Bad hygiene not compare to todays standards, funny how bullying is not a concept, the weak got exploited as part of the natural course of life. Many many more counter behaviors to what we know as honor codes.

    As much as I despise monarch rule n all forms of dictatorship, furthers re-examination of Britain’s colonies for the grim results presented here. No culture of people tolerate been oppressed, but in the end colonized nations tremendously well off in all meters of society compare to none colonial nations. You could say the poverty is direct cause of mercantilism, perhaps but compare to what? Once facts r examine how 3rd world n lag nations’ people live their horrendous lives, mostly neglected by their own corrupt government. This is not to condone colonialism, but cant deny facts.

      People seem to be under the impression that GB was the only country that participated in Colonialism. Spain, France, Portugal and the Netherlands, to name but a few, were also involved and the church was very much involved.

    i still have my tickets serial number 00917---18 dollars--wavy gravy gave us food and Max towed our car out of the mud with his tractor---Pete hit Hoffman in his side, not on his head and knocked him off the stage, we were close up for them--
