Looks like but probably not. Sure looks it from the MarineTraffic post on 'X', posted only 15 minutes afterwards. Shows little green triangles (I'll assume tugboats) alongside the Dali, they get the ship from the dock, turn her around and pointed to the bridge, job done they leave. Dali heads to the bridge and 4 boat lengths out remains on the track the tugboats left her but one boat length out the animation shows the ship suddenly veering hard right (aka starboard)
Reuters reports the ship's owner says the crew is accounted for and uninjured. Including two pilots - who are supposed to prevent this sort of thing. (But why 2, isn't it usually just one?) From apparently no one in police custody, it doesn't seem that it was intentional. But the day is still young.

Look at sped up footage of the "wreck". You'll see that the ship was steered (turned) directly into the support column. Deliberate.

~They sent police to block the entrances to the bridge
~They restarted the ship

it was 5am. this is a horrible situation but i am going to throw out i am thankful it wasnt during rush hour/peak time traffic. soooo damn horrible.

@@captains_collectiblesIt lost power but they gave warning and then someone stopped the traffic right before the collapse. There were workers on the bridge that they are looking for. The ship supposedly dropped anchor but it must have been too late.

can somebody explain how is possible that the boat took a turn all of a sudden towards the column of the bridge, you can clearly see it in some of the videos. That for me is the most suspicious
The ship apparently lost power so it was just drifting in the water and it regained power just before it hit the support beam so the captain probably accidentally steered while trying to figure out what was wrong
Not likey the smoke you see in the back is them basically full reverse but the problem is that is a big ship and is going to take longer to even reverse and even with power and when the power came back in it was to late

Both pilots which were heading this ship were locals american of baltimore. Under them there were 22 crew of Indians. May god bless the innocents who lost there lives in this tragic accident.

Besides, there were two Baltimore Harbor Pilots guiding the ship. At an average of $500,000 per year, it would be hard to pay them both off to risk their jobs for some terrorist attack.
