What?! Why is Jenn reviewing a book this old? Why is Jenn reviewing One Direction Fanfiction? Well, this fanfiction had almost 1 Billion views on the site Wattpad. I read it back in 2014 when it was still on that site and now I have some things to say. I used to not want to talk about it, but now I am older and I care less.
Today I'm going to get a little controversial and speak as to why I love the After Series by Anna Todd. Which is in the most respectful sense… Trashy One Direction Fan Fiction. I speak about my issues with it, but how I have learned to love it for what it is. There is also a movie coming out soon, and so I think it is pertinent to speak to where I find flaws and where I enjoy them.
**Warning, there are some triggers to emotional abuse. These books feature a very dysfunctional relationship that I am not condoning. But I wanted to be honest about why I do like the series, but keep in mind the warning.**

Okay so I wanna vent for a hot second...... you are the first person who openly spoke about how this book isn’t that bad. THANK GOD FOR YOU!!! I have been trying to find a TH-camr who has not ripped this book to shreds. #1 every romance book is the same, two people meet, they fall in love THEY FIGHT 1 TIME, they break up, get back together for some godly reason and then their married and live happily ever after.
THAT IS NOT REALISTIC! People fight, MORE THAN ONCE! Relationships are not always happy and giggly, things come up from their pasts that create problems. But the best parts of these books are that no matter how many times they fight, there is something about each of them that make them always come back to each other. They both change as people and that’s A GOOD THING . So many readers say “Oh she changed to much for him, she’s so stupid for going back to him” BRO SHE FOUND CONFIDENCE!!!! Is that so bad?

I AM SO HAPPY THET YOU MADE THIS VIDEO BECAUSE I THINK PEOPLE GET THE WORNG IDEA OF AFTER SOME SAY IT PROMOTS ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP AND I PERSONALY REALY AGREE WITH YOU WHEN YOU SAY THEY ARE AWERE AND ARE TRING TO CHANGE AND IT DOSNT WORK MOST OF THE TIME BUT THEY DO GET THERE IN THE END AND OVER ALL IT TOUCHS SO MANY MORE SUBJECTE YOU CAN RELATE TO SO REALY THENK YOU FOR THIS IRAELY LIKED THE WAY YOU EXPLANED YOURSELF.
I loved them too. And i also went into this knowing somewhat what it was. It took a piece of my heart. I felt what they felt in good times and in bad. The only thing that pissed me off was the ending. We spent sooooo much time in the bad and there was barely any time in the good. It was rushed and i felt like we were owed more. But i still love this series and am going to watch the movie this April.
I'm excited for the movie. Haha, its going to be trasy excellence!
Ive started reading the first one...... Ive been in that kind of relationship for 4 years....me going back to a guy that did appretiated me loving him so most of the book I can relate...so I love your review girl!!!!!!

Appreciate your review. Not the best writing but I liked the storyline (I also skip most the sexy stuff). Readers have to consider the past trauma the couple has experienced mixed with maturity. If the entire series is read you are able to see the healing and positive relationship they "now" have.
I actually liked the books. I have only read the first two so far, I’m planning to read the last few over the holidays. I don’t like the writing too well for the first book, the second book was better going between the two perspective. I hope people who read this realize the relationship is toxic and it’s not truly realistic. Or maybe it is, just not for me. I wanted to read this book for an easy, breezy read and I couldn’t stop myself 🤷🏼♀️.
Everyone is so dramatic about the book and theyre making the same videos over and over again 😕 glad that you dont tell the exact same things like these other youtubers
Aww, thank you! Yeah, I'm not a person who gets easily offended or dives in too deep. I like to just enjoy it or not. I liked the books, they were a thrill, a steamy, dysfunctional thrill, and then I move on. Haha!
