The Cryptoclidus Gel is our way of fixing how annoyingly uncontested Basilosaurus can be, and the AOE Veil addresses the messed up aggro issues from ocean creatures Hopefully this lil lad makes the ocean gameplay more fun! Glad you enjoyed it :D You sure found a beautifully coloured one

@@lordcrusheryt Garuga isn't part of the Paleo ARK team but they _do_ work with one another pretty often. Rebecca, who IIRC did the Crypto's model and Evo Giga's saddle, is also making the saddles for Garuga's Edmontonia and made the model for his Sucho, and I believe Garuga came up with the (currently unrevealed) ideas for Evo Megalania.

In terms of the unplayable area, one of the coolest views (at least in my humble opinion) is looking out over the west side of the map. The "abyss" area has a ton of terrain that you can see from the cliff. Super pretty.
I got whiplash from doing a double take seeing you back on the center and then I thought about how surprised I would be if you jumped back to scorched or the island... genuinely so glad you've got so many maps youre having fun on for the remaster
The server broke for the island and he has said he intends to finish scorched. Scorched and The Center were never dead series he just stopped making videos because of the new map releasing

We went years without seeing syn add mods because console couldn’t use em and now with Mods being available on all platforms it’s sick to see them and hear about devs (I’m a console player)
The Cryptoclidus' implementation really reminds me of how much I wish Ark reworked and expanded on ocean progression. To start, I feel like the Dunkleosteus and Megalodon should be available 10-15 levels later, putting them closer to level 60. I think the Plesiosaur should be in the early-mid 70s, and the Mosasaur should be in the late 80s. Each of which would obviously be buffed when necessary (for example: the Dunkleo wouldn't really need any real rebalance, it's kind of busted for the level it's available at). The Liopleurodon should be reworked into being an ACTUAL TAME, instead of a shitty outdated meme reference, slotting it into the late 40s / early 50s saddle-wise. This would place it at roughly the same progression as the current Megalodon, as such, it should also be moved closer to the shores, allowing players to more reasonably tame them.
Just seeing a single unclaimed spino floating in the middle of the ocean immediately had me laughing, it's like hearing an inside joke. I was so disappointed when I heard that Axe was the only one on when that happened, that would have been amazing to see out of context from somebody else's perspective
I'm really loving the dino mod showcasing. I've downloaded some of them because I've played so much Ark especially on the Island and the Center that it makes those maps fun and interesting again. Thanks for showing off these really cool dinos. The mods really put a lot of work and creativity into these creatures.
They definitely should add more aquatic creature features like a breach attack would be sick but they also should give water better physics like something falling into water or jumping out should look realistic
I loved in my ARK days when Devs/Modders added smaller creatures, there's honestly so many niches that could be properly filled with interesting creatures
THE GLOOBUS BEAST! EDIT: Syn not realizing his DSuchus wasn't harvesting calamari because it's on disable resource harvesting is funny. Also the calamari is basically piscivore mutton. EDIT2: Also Crypto itself is immune to jellyfish and eel stuns by default, and the "veil charge" it has down there is filled up by eating obelisk squid, and upon use applies the Crypto's own veil buff to any surrounding allies. EDIT3: Oh also, Crypto isn't the only plesiosaur the Paleo ARK team has been cooking up lately. 😉
I love calamari too! I cook it as a special treat❤️. Also, anything can harvest the squids, but your croc was set not to harvest resources. I’m still looking for cryptoclidus on my server
Yeah this little guys a must have early game tame for any map its installed on. Great for late game to with its gel production. Wonder if your character can eat the stuff to get veiled?
@syntac I know you like checking out cool creature mods. You should check out the Owl Griffin mod( i think that's the name). Its a very cool mod and it mixes the best things of the two creatures. Plus, they have saddles.
I don't know about you, but I'm not sure I want Megalodons being able to jump from the water and grab me from my tame x'D If they give the ability to tamed, they will probably do it to in the wild and that's a scary thought...
I predicted that spino xD When Axe had the issue I was wondering if should ask for a dino wipe just make make sure they are all dead in case some escaped. (he also had some mesh under map so who knows if they are still alive) Love that lil plesi though...I am all for more variety of early water tames (dolphin gets boring once you've tamed your 1 thousandth one)

Its all about not taking it too seriously
Zero entertainment value in watching someone give it 110% every second of gameplay, there would be no chance of danger or silly moments

I had previously set the deino to not harvest resources but I thought that would reset by having it in the ball lol
