Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

He's concerned about the state of his fellow churches. Wow, and we have to go running to him to find the truth now. Oh, I grieved the Holy Spirit for so long I probably did chase Him away and I never even knew it. Nobody teaches the Godhead fully anymore. Thank-you.
I wanted to listen to a sermon on Ephesians 4 and searched Utube.
Thereafter I heard one, by a man who shall remain nameless, who spent most of the time trying to be funny.
Then I listened to this.
Oh the difference between the carnal Christian, who likes to think they have a gift and thinks they know the spirit of God and someone like Spurgeon, who humbled himself under Gods mighty hand, to be lifted to a place where God shared His heart for His people.

Since high school, the only book I read all the way through was “ The Robe” which has been many years ago, I loved that book, and now I have found Charles Spurgeon 💕🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank you Jesus, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Amen

Blessed are you Lord king of the universe for this sermon by your servant how I long to seek you and serve you as we all should for you have been more than merciful unto us may the Lord bless the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit the try and living GOD !!!!
If Charles Spurgeon could see the present state of the church, he would probably die of grief, or at least would beg his God to take him, it is SCARY what has happened to the church! And he was thinking there were problems THEN? My God, you have spared him this!!!
So - when I got to thinking about it just now, apart from feeling scared about the fact that the spirit has indeed left the church, it also gives me this hope:
If God's spirit is so agreaved that he has left the building, how amazing that we are still here!!!!
Doesn't this fact show really CLEARLY: God loves us SO MUCH, He is not willing that people should perish.....and whilst it's happening, it gives Him no pleasure to send anyone to Hell!!!
For me, I'm scared indeed for friends and family, but I'm comforted that His Hand is STILL STRETCHED OUT

Unfortunately many are seeking to tickle the ears. One truly converted (the sheep) should not need to take the Word with a "spoon full of sugar" so to speak: a funny joke, a good story. 1% of the Word and 99% Tom Foolery. Men of God like this did one thing: fed the sheep, and got out of the way to let the Word take affect.
