Yes, like 1000 reviewers of PHEVs, you don't know physics. Electric motors are efficient at small RPMs and less efficient at big RPMs. Vice versa, gas engines are more efficient at big RPMs and less efficient at small RPMs. Depending on speed, inefficiency of one type is compensate by the efficiency of the other. This is why they have to work together, combined.
I do believe that will be the case, believed to be discontinued after the 2025 model year. Ford is discontinuing the Transit Connect and Edge as well. The plans are to introduce fully electric vehicles as replacements. Ford is all in on electrification. They will keep several vehicles as internal combustion, those I believe will be the Mustang, Bronco and 3 row Explorer and perhaps a version of the F-150.
Its like buying a sllllllllow electric vehicle. Not peppy at all. But yes, you dont have to stop after 275 miles. It might be nice if someone came out with EV with range expender that just poopy once it goes 250 miles. but it gets you there. thats alot like the plug in hybrid. it IS electric only mode. better than nothing. but not exciting.
Very thorough review! Thanks!
In-depth review. I really wish to have this model. Thanks
Great review and very thorough. Thank you. I Wish it was a lot more affordable 😫
Now my SUV to buy.
Great video. I used to live in Acton (Huckleberry Lane).

What’s with the rumors that Escape is gonna get discontinued in 2025 or 2026? Any thoughts?

How so cheap sh...t can cost more 50 grands????? People, are you crazy???????
Not so. The Subaru Forester has way more cargo space than the Escape.
For me it is absoutely stunning how 2/3 of people graduating high school in U.S. have zero knowledge of physics.
It is Overpriced. it needs better MPG like the C MAX
You can get a Mach e cheaper than this hybrid plug in
Too bad they still don’t have AWD. I’ll keep my Prime.
I’m surprised at that….here in the U.K. we do get an AWD version.
JA der Ford ist gut und besser. Auch in Deutschland verfügbar 🤔

NOT an SUV.............FWD only..................Paul
Don't say simplistic when you mean simple, they don't mean the same thing.
