Her interpretation of this is way too much, it's almost like a parody of the real thing. By real thing, I mean Uliana Lopatkina's dying swan. Watch this and know how it's supposed to be done. th-cam.com/video/-T2UeKKac-s/w-d-xo.html
@@treasuretreereynolds1764 If you watch Ms. Lopatkina's performance followed by this one, the difference is stark. It's so beautiful, isn't it? That someone can have that much control of every single muscle, the enormous discipline that it would take is staggering. I love the ballet but I'm just a boring old musician who was once a gymnast! I had to take ballet but ballerinas and gymnasts have completely different body shapes and I was told right off that the ballet wasn't for me; my muscles in the wrong places.
This is why I am blessed to live on God's green earth. The violin, the beautiful ballerina, Saint-Saen's music. If these things don't bring you to tears you are not breathing.
It's a viola, not a violin. Although the piece was composed for cello, not violin or viola. And the violist f***s it up and gets behind at 0:54. And he's rarely with the conductor and orchestra otherwise. Might have helped if they'd put him in the pit instead of on the stage for some weird inartistic reason. If he's got that spot on him while he's playing, he possibly can't even see the conductor, poor bugger. Pity all that makes me cringe, because the dancer's interpretation and technique are lovely and individual.
This is not a good performance at all. The soloist is incompetent, the conductor is utterly disconnected, and the ballerina is a flailing maniac. A dumpster fire. Watch a proper interpretation to experience the real potential of this lovely little piece.
Well... it actually is supposed to be a cello playing, not surprised that a viola can't keep up;) ( just a joke because people who play violas are known to be a little slow. But srsly, leave the swan to the cellos, it's just prettier.)
Beautiful and Emotional!!😭This rendition of The Swan by Ekaterina Kondaurova was just magical...😢Bringing me to tears along with the mesmerizing and Melancholic music by Camille Saint-Saens!!💖😄
Stunningly beautiful and coordinated, the violin music and the "dying swan" both very well performed! As very young budding musicians, my parents took us kids to a lot of concerts while growing up. I admit to being a bit squirmy during the music I did not play and/or recognize, but I was NEVER bored watching ballet! I still love it today! Many ballerinas have made their mark with this famous music.
I never thought such a dance would get to me so easily. It’s absolutely beautiful. I can feel the passion from both the ballerina and person playing the viola. Watching this makes me feel a rollercoaster of emotions. Outstanding!!
My understanding of science and art. We humans can express our feelings in many different ways much more than any creature ever existed in history to now but also these feelings are like a thin single human hair, very delicate one can make everything green or everything turns into dust. musician, dancer, painters they give shape to their dreams, Imagination, and filling, science do the same in the lab, science, and art is not very different in many ways but some time prediction little bit different art is very sensitive so we see what we want to see. And thank you for music and the dance

Beautiful as always. Amazing performance from the Ballerina. The Swan from Camille Saint Saëns was originally scored for solo cello accompanied by two pianos, it has been arranged and transcribed for many instruments but remains best known as a cello solo. I love the Cello version.
The absolute art of this video The musicians graceful effortless playing The dancers delicate technique The atmosphere of the lighting and art on stage The dancers character portrayal It just brings joy to my heart to see how impactful the arts are
There are so many ballerinas doing this ballet, but this ballerina and Chauvire are the best. Simply beautiful; and that isn't a word that truly describes this performance.
I don't think there is anything more harmonious, passionate, aesthetic and beautiful than the moment where a dancer reaches the point where she merges with the music, showing the potential with her extraordinarily captivating fusion. -Yoyo (A future artist-"but that's who I am...I think").

This is NOT from Swan Lake (Tchaikovsky) but a solo choreographed in 1907 for Anna Pavlova, called "The Swan," or, popularly, "The Dying Swan."
you are right!
And it's part of "The Carnival of the Animals" if I remember correctly.
Perla Manrique Yes .....Le cygne (The Swan) .... it's the best part (XIII) of XIV parts

She did such an awesome job of timing herself to the music! Beautiful
Which is doubly impressive given the violist and the orchestra weren't in time with each other ...
Me as a cellist I’m feeling betrayed. But kudos to the ballerina.
