Simon, I love seeing how you don't come into a place with judgment even when people all around you (and in the comments...) telling you how awful/depressing/dangerous a place is and, because of it, your attitude gets others in the community to open up to you and want to share their lives. Jaywick may be impoverished, may have issues with addiction, etc. but I also see people who are more humble, more genuine and still holding on to the sense of community lost across the globe in major cities. Hell, even in your comments you see so much nasty and judgmental comments about Danny (He's annoying! He's on crack!) when, in reality, Danny is spending each day checking on people, holding positivity meetings, creating signs/brochures to help the community and brainstorming ideas with residents to make changes...that's far more than the average person does for their own neighborhoods.

Being short of money shouldn't mean not taking pride in your home and garden. That costs nothing but a bit of effort.
Absolutely brilliant and great to see that the community is thriving and looks after themselves. Danny is a legend.

New characters keep appearing and Simon was like the main character and Danny the boss
I went there once delivering panelling. Couldn't believe how run down it was. I found the house and started passing the panels to the customer and he leant them against the fencing. The neighbour came out pushed them to the ground saying that was his fence. My customer flattened him with a right hook and carried on as if nothing happened. Never had a delivery like that before or since.
Lol, I can imagine 😂, at least he didn't punch you 😂😂
This is brilliant Simon well done mate love Dave and his community x
