    Nice! Do you use a specific script to help with the parallax mapping, like tile lock?

      I use Yami's overlay mapping script.

      @Supinpa Do you use the old version or the [Last Updated: 2012.04.16] version? Because the Basic module for Yami's script Interferes with the Khas ultra lighting shadow overlay. Do i need the basic module for the overlay mapping script to work? That thing is the only thing that messes up Khas' lighting script for me.
      Oh and by the way thank you very much for the video (^_^)/

      I use the 2012.04.16 version, I don't use the Basic module so I guess you don't need it for the overlay script to work.

      I wasn't sure why it was conflicting but now it works!
      I was scared it would mess up my game somehow so I didn't want to try it without the basic module.

    How do you make the trees above character?

      At around 6:25 you’ll see me editing the file names to be compatible with Yami’s overlay mapping script. One is par325-1 and the other is ground325-1, the first number is the map ID and the second I don’t remember. Anyway, you use par for the layer that’ll be above the player and ground for things under.

    Hi! The video is very useful, but I have a problem! I don't understand quite much when you use those crosses in red and stuff. How do you make them invisible?

      Hey, I'm glad the video was helpful. I didn't see your comment earlier, sorry.
      The crosses and ticks are basically so i can choose which tiles are passable, I created a new tileset and set the red crosses to non passable and the blue ticks to passable. To make them invisible, you can see that on the tileset window theres two blank spaces above the cross and tick, one is passable and the other is non passable, after you're done with the crosses and ticks (or whatever you choose to use) you can cover them up with the invisible tiles. The crosses and ticks are there just so you know what you're doing while setting up passability for the map.

      I had that question about both the red crosses for non passable and blue ticks for passable; are they for the plugin script, or on the RPG Maker VX Ace (not the Lite one, because the Lite one doesn't have it)?

    is it possible to do parallax using ms paint?

      You could, but it's a lot better to use a program that let's you work with layers, like Paint.NET, GIMP or Photoshop.

    I know it's an old video and all but how can I view a grid on photoshop that matches with the rpg maker one?

      Furo6448 each cell in rpg maker vx ace is 32x32 pixels, not sure about photoshop but in GIMP you go to image -> configure grid and change it to 32x32, then view -> show grid.
      Also remember to multiply the dimensions by 32 when you start, a 100x100 map on rpg maker would be 3200x3200 pixels on GIMP or photoshop.

    May I ask a question. I know this is an old video, but where did you find those X and ✓ on tileset from (6:57)

      I think he said they were custom tilesets. that there were two transparent tiles that were marked passable and non-passable, and the check and x were on the tiles below that. I'm pretty sure the x's are just used as a way to map out where the non-passable transparent tiles are going to go. im not sure where to get them or how to make them but I hope this might've helped regardless. :]

    How do you get your parallax to be shown in RPG Maker when you are not playing?

      When you go on edit map (where you name it and select bgm, etc.) there's a check box that allows it to show the parallax image on the editor.

      You have to make them. If you search for parallax trees online you can find plenty that you can use. Copy the image onto gimp, then select the image and copy it, then when you go on edit you can save the copied image as a new brush.
