Guppies are most happy with the fountains, loving that disruption of water! I really like your fountains. Hyacinths, however, do not like being splashed. I corralled mine with with wood so they stay opposite the splashing. Your mosaics are amazing! Love the guppies, too, of course!!! Well done, Ed!
Looking good. It’s hot as blazes in south Alabama. I’m dealing with green water in 2 of my 3 tubs. I’ve had to water change my tubs. Not enough rain and too much green water.
Green water is actually quite beneficial for breeding fish. Provides lots of free food and nutrients for fish and their fry. My tubs are pretty green year round. My fish look INCREDIBLE.
@@ReneesZooTube I know green water is a good thing for breeding. I have hundreds of guppies. I see them at the top of the water. I miss being able to see my other fish. Every week or so, I’m feel around in my tub just to make sure my Oscars are still there.
This will most definitely decrease temperature but it does so via evaporative cooling. You will be topping off more frequently but the results are worth it!
More water volume will also help keep water temps lower. Best not to let your tubs get that low when it's hot. And shade, any form of shade will help too. Please be careful using plastic not made for fish/livestock in your tubs/aquariums. Some plastics, especially cheaper ones, can leach toxic chemicals into the water. I had that happen with barrel planters I used for tubs. The plastic wasn't rated for water usage. Wyen you fill the tubs, make sure the fountains aren't spraying the water out of your tubs or they'll get drained. Also make sure the intakes are covered with a sponge it will suck up your fry.

You may have to go to plan B and add umbrollas. That's my next step if I have to
