Watching you finally remove that big jasper chunk was so satisfying to watch. Love that feeling of treasure in hand! Fun rock cuts, too. you could do a whole other video, just cutting & showing your stash
Very nice 😊 I really enjoyed the fast motion footage of you getting the jasper. Gave me a good giggle. Thank you for sharing your adventures and finds.
Awesome video CR. That big ole Jasper hunk is nice! I like that you included the shop work into the video. The way Jared “resolves” into the beginning of the videos has become a CR trademark!
Reds and greens, woot. I'm glad to see a rock cutting video once again. The size of that jasper was surprising to see as you pulled it up. Those small guys would make for tumbling material I'd guess, but the way you shined up those water lines and jasper was clean. I had to let my wife do a full cycle of stages to win the war against tumbling in my house, now she understands why we have the grinding wheels. More good times to you!
Would love a video of you revisiting some old material you’ve found in past travels that you’ve saved for a rainy day. It’s kinda fun revisiting material you’ve not thought about in a while
That's some great jasper! Love that maroon and green. I found a big water-worn bouldcer of jasper up in Idaho's Little Lost a few years ago. It has that red, but yellow highlights and a brownish background. probably weighs 60 lbs.
That red & green jasper with the purple is gorgeous! It's like a bloodstone with a royal bloodline. Great find. 10:19 I don't know why, but at the very end of this particular scene, after you ask Sarah for her thoughts, and you reply with, "I don't have a tumbler." I just burst out laughing. It caught me so off guard for some reason. That was not what I was expecting you to say at all. You two really make a great Rockhounding duo. 🤔 To be totally honest, I find it slightly disturbing that you, of all people, don't have a tumbler. 😆 It does not compute. I cannot wrap my little bear brain around that. You have the coolest tools.
Cool nodules friends and a interesting seam of what kinda looked like jaspagate. I found a hill down in the Owyhee's where it's just covered in little agate nodules from racketball size down to dime sized. Really makes me wonder about the formation that exposed them like champagne bubbles. Many of the ones I cut kinda have a "porcelain" quality to them some had waterline, some banding and others were just chalcedony. Great location sir. Thx for sharing~
Hi Jared, another informative video, 👍. I like some Of those nodules, those with the inclusions that have that mossy look and that darker brecciated looking nodule looks very interesting to me. The jasper is a really nice looking piece and worth the effort with the tools. Looks like it should make some nice pieces & slabs. Will be interesting to see what you find if hike around a little bit. Good video mate. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin.
Jared and Sarah, AZ ROCKHOUNDING found some otherworldly UV reactive chalcedony near Round Mountain in Nevada. I don't know if this area where you were hounding is even remotely similar geologically, but the nodules reminded me of what you were finding in size, color and shape. I was wondering if you had subjected them to any UV?

Was great meeting you at the Pow Wow! Looking forward to you coming out to the Ruby Mountains sometime this spring thru fall.
Awwwww, Ohhhhhhh, Gorgeous! Thanks Sara and Jared.
Beautiful jasper finds! Utah has some of the best rockhounding locations. I hope to get out there in the near future.
Definitely a lot of great spots for rocks in Utah!

I do have older material that I'm planning on revisiting at some point!
So glad you were persistent in getting that jasper…great specimens and a location I would love to hunt.
That’s a keeper gorgeous jasper
The nodules would make cool earrings and necklaces.

I was impressed by the variety of stones that you got on what looked like a fairly small area. How cool. Nice job polishing as well.
We were very impressed by the quality and variety in the small fraction of the area that we covered!
Bless my son's heart!! He bought me a rock saw from Christmas. It's a 7" tile saw but a saw none the less❤❤❤❤😊
Have fun!
Reds purples and green& all swirled into one rock!!! It's going in the trunk!!!❤

Haha. We did have a tumbler at one point but too many unsuccessful batches led us to giving up on it.
Nice rocks 👍👍

Life is good. I'm happy you guys got to move to Utah. So nice up there.
It is!
Nice video, beautiful rock polishing 🎉
Thanks!
Wow that jasper is crazy!..at first I thought it was bloodstone!
I’m impressed with how strong that gad bar is. Some feathers would have been helpful too.
Duds? I think that stone at 20:24 is beautiful!

Thanks! We got a nice variety of nice pieces at this spot.
Cool finds, suggestion, find yourself a nice carpenters leather nail bag then you can put finds in the pouches and have a place for your hammers
We like the 2 gallon buckets, they're big enough to carry what we want to keep but never get too heavy.

I spy with my little eye....a sphere sized chunk of jasper. 😂😂
I have to honestly admit that until today, I did not know that specific difference between thundereggs and geodes...🤙
Now you can correct everyone who misuses those terms!
I'd surprised that you don't take at least a small rock hammer with you anytime you go out rockhounding.
We pretty much always have one with us, never know when you'll need it!
I see that you did have something with you but probably in the car.
she just getting her dailey ruffage
