It's a pity that none of the key cast members from the DOH appear in this dvd movie. When John mentioned an "exciting" cameo, I was expecting Catherine, Tom or Ben and not Byron. To make it clear, I've got nothing against Byron but he's not the reason why the DOH was so successful and appealing. On the contrary, replaying Bo and Duke with Coy and Vance is what led to the downfall of this TV series.

@@PrinceofMacedonVlogs He is only one person.. Take note that the Dukes of Hazzard is NOT about one person; what makes the Dukes of Hazzard awesome is everyone involved-both the cast and the crew. It's rather depressing watching only John in that movie without the rest of the amazing cast, many of whom are still alive and well. I would have said the exact same if I had only seen Tom or Catherine by themselves. The Dukes of Hazzard includes John but it's not only about him.
@@tanyavt6037 have you considered the fact that it wasn't actually possible to get the whole cast back together for a movie when they started this project? Also, look at the name of the movie. Where does it say it's the Dukes of Hazzard? This is a movie about John's life where he lost his property because he was in so much debt. I don't see "Dukes of Hazzard" anywhere in this title. If it's really that easy to get the cast together, I want to see you do it. Tom and Catherine all have lives, and are super busy (just like John Schneider is). At least John put the effort into making this movie for his fans. I guess you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't
@@PrinceofMacedonVlogs John has been outspoken about this and he's claimed in his video here on TH-cam that we should all watch his movie cause it's the closest we'll get to the DOH. Check out that video for yourself. It's that one about the 10 most asked questions about the DOH. I had also sent him a direct message on Facebook asking about this movie prior to buying it and the response I got was that this movie of his was a strong tribute to the DOH. The reason why I bothered buying this movie and watching it with my husband and children was for that reason and we are disappointed that none of the important cast members of the DOH were in it.

Please show me where there is a better Dukes of Hazzard tribute movie available. I'm a DoH fan, and I LOVED this movie. It had the General Lee, Bo, and Coy. That's unfortunate that you're not happy with this, but you have to understand how difficult it is getting EVERYONE together in a movie when people aren't as available as they used to be. Would you be happier if John Schneider didn't make this movie? Then the other Dukes fans (like me) would be upset that no one's ever tried to make another tribute movie.
Why isn't this movie registered on IMDB? There isn't a single credible review about this movie online. Even if it's an independent production, it should be on IMDB like all movies whether they're mainstream or independent.

This dvd movie couldn't live up to the glorious Dukes of Hazzard. The main flaw in this movie was the very low quality acting. No wonder the critics of Imdb and Rotten Tomatoes aren't bothering with this..

I was told the *gasp* moment would be on TH-cam. Good gracious! This caused my heart to skip a beat in watching my DVD, so I knew this was the scene. Super courageous.
How could a log manage such a "clean cut"? Went through this scene frame-by-frame from 2:05 up to around the end of that scene at 2:20 and the roof is too neatly removed. Would have been realistic if the roof was jagged from that collision.
Probably because John Schneider wanted to take a good shot of the roof.

I see no problem John. All is fine I for one do it all the time.
Two different Charger's were used. John's own personal Charger (a real 69 Charger) for the close up shots and the interior scene were it shows his feet at the pedals and him laying down on the center console after the roof came off . And a Ford Crown Vic that is dressed up and reskinned to look like a 69 Charger for the driving scenes, stunt work and other scenes. The real 69 Charger, the nice one was not destroyed
Is this the Crown Vic used for a jump awhile back or another one? I want to build up a Vic like that.

I am so torn. I love this car so much but that flag. It's a shame that people can't see past the meaning of the flag and realize that in this context it belongs on that car and has NOTHING to do with anything other than the car.
You need to create a new Dukes of Hazzard series, starring you, Tom, Catherine - all in the current timeframe. With the General, handing down to a younger generation of Dukes what it's all about.

Opened my Christmas gifts and there it was. I want to say I really enjoyed the movie and loved how you incorporated the story with some real life happenings. Love the General Lee as is and I will forever fly my flag. If people want to judge me for it so be it. My real friends family and people that really know me know what kind of person I am. Do hope to see the show and the General Lee on TV again. But no problem I have all 7 seasons on DVD. Thanks John .

3. As far as a 1st convertable Charger, Dodge actually had a convertible Charger based on the 1968 Charger platform, but it never made it to production. Still a neat scene though. Lol

Great scene, but there was a technical oopsy. On the scene were you lay down during the crash, the transmission gear selector is in park and you can also see that it is a modern shifter.
Wanna know another one? That windshield shouldn't have flown out installed properly. But when i was asked to install it. They asked that i set it in there so when it hits, it flys out. And voila
Did the General have one Black seat or was there 2 cars. Sad to see but after you turned it into a convertible the seat was tan.

John I just got Christmas Cars through cineflix dod and thoroughly enjoyed it. Absolutely great. Couldn’t help but cringe a bit at the car becoming a convertible but best looking convertible ever! um, i watched your q and a. i agree that the dukes have never been racist. and then this video removes that flag and your happy. i just read the description of this video and i'm glad. that flag has nothing to do with racism for those who do not know, it's about the north invading the south and prior to that we were a united country all toll with 13 states. the north invading the south while understandable was kinda messed up. thats like new york invading california. and new your emposing laws on california. that will never happen for good reason. for those who don't know. we do not live in a democratic society, we live in a republic society. if you don't know the difference, there are plenty. feds have a say in the super important stuff like slavery and world wide war. beyond that, they shouldn't. i mean the president is the commander and chief of the military above anything else. not commander of who gets road work done. but as every state asks for money, more regulations come into place.

This brought back my childhood, I remember growing up in the 80's and every weekend my brother and I would curl up in front of those big tube tv's and we would just watch dukes of hazzard. I still love the Duke boys and ended up ordering the entire series on dvd, this movie you did just brought back fond memories and made me remember the good ol' days them Duke boys was always in chases and that was Always SO fun to watch and gotta love good ol' Rosco too, lol 😊

I was watching the episode with Perry White and you high tailed out of the farm and drove down and set that dodge truck into to a perfect slide in the middle of the road. For a brief second it was just like a general lee flash back. I watched you set that car sideways so many times I could tell when you were driving and when someone else. Dukes of hazzard hands down my favorite show of all time. You're the reason I watched Smallville when it was on. Thanks for the reply.

Throttles don’t work that way my friend. It’s a sprung linkage that releases it and not the actual peddle. Excelerator peddles only do anything in one direction... down. The bad guys messed with the linkage just like in the show!
@@JohnSchneiderStudios Putting it in neutral and hitting the e-brake usually does it. Shut off the engine so it doesn't blow. I was a Ford tech for 10 years. Also, the clip looks and sounds just like the old Dukes of Hazzard. I remember those Friday nights well.
