    4000 essential English word books have taken me to the next level, I have nearly 10 months since I started using the books and Anki to Memorize vocabulary, and I'm feeling better and confident now with pride in what I achieved, my new plan in 2024 to enhance my speaking .

    I was amazed when I stumbled upon this recently uploaded video because I had spent a lot of time searching for the best answer to a particular question. Honestly, I find that the most challenging part of learning a language is vocabulary, especially words and expressions with multiple meanings.
    Here's my method:
    1. I look for a story (MP3, rich with commonly used expressions, especially idioms) and listen to it multiple times-usually a story between 2 to 5 minutes.
    2. I highlight the challenging ones.
    3. I jot down these words on the Notion app.
    4. I find the right meanings through various dictionaries-Arabic-English, English-English, Google, TH-cam, Youglish, and, of course, ChatGPT to understand how natives use them.
    5. I listen to it again several times.
    6. I keep all the materials (Notion notes and the MP3) for the next month to revisit.
    I know my method might seem boring, hard to follow, and time-consuming, but I personally find it the most effective. Learning a language is a marathon, not a race, and it requires dedication and discipline. 😅

    Bunch of thank you for your hard work. I have listened to this podcast on a real-life app and I've learned new vocabulary and expressions.
    I can even remember previous vocabulary through your the flash cards method. There, I can easily learn from pictures. I also use Google for vocabulary learning, just like you.

    I have been studying for at least 15min for a day. Practicing everyday or listening, grammar, speaking (making shadowing or speaking alone 😅). My next goal is to practice more writing. I really like to write in Portuguese and that's my next target. This channel and the real life app, helps me a lot. I love your videos and I regularly suggest my students to go and watch them because I realise it helps them a lot in their learning since they're fun and really useful.
    But I realise I can't find one video I used to watch last year, it was about learning travel vocabulary through series. Is the access now restricted?

I'm facing a challenge with vocabulary .so the thing is ; I consume a lot of content,which leads to scattered notes in various places like my note app, copybook, board, and sticky notes. I end up with all these messy words and idioms everywhere . I want to organize it for easy access to ensure active learning. Any advice?"

    • @RealLifeEnglish1
      @RealLifeEnglish1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Mariam! That's a common thing for many students nowadays. Lots of recourses leads to chaotic learning. Have you tried to use some digital platform for note-taking, such as Evernote? It will help you have everything is one place. And then, set a regular schedule for reviewing and organizing your notes.
      Or, you could try flashcards - like ANKI or Memrise, save all your vocab there and the tool will take care of review!
