The peregrine falcon is Tonga, banded black 85/H, the resident female at the nest box under the Blue Water Bridge since 2005. She hatched in 2003 in Mississauga, Ontario.
When I lived in Fort Gratiot about 2 miles from the bridge, there was a falcon that sat in one of my trees everyday trying to catch one of the birds i used to feed
When I was aboard a US Army vessel sailing south somewhere off the coast of North Carolina years ago, a bird of prey (I can only recognize the Bald eagle and Red-Tailed Hawk) struck a seagull type that had been resting on top of a Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (we referred to them as a 20 foot conex) right in front of the bridge. It killed it instantly then proceeded to devour it completely as we watched. I'll never forget those big, dark eyes.
I know someone who lives on the street behind that building. You could literally throw a rock and hit her house from where this camera is. You can for sure see this building from her front porch.
I worked at Sea World-San Diego with a Falconeer. Used to keep sea gulls away. They swoop in 100 MPH and rip the gull to shreds. I'll bet there isn't a Sea Gull within 2 miles of this guy.
I've got Falcons and hawks hanging around my front yard. I was out front talking to my neighbor and a Falcon and Sparrow came swooping down and missed by head by inches and the Falcon caught the Sparrow in the pine tree. A bunch of noise came after.
Poor Mourning Doves. They are super fast flyers, once in the air, but their reflexes when on the ground feeding or perched, are slow. We've had them taken out by Cooper's Hawks in our backyard. I used to refer to them as 'Morning' Doves also. But they are called 'Mourning' Doves, apparently, because of the mournful sound of their calls.

Sue Stevens Wow..thank you for the information. She’s 15..how old do they love to be if you know?
That is awesome info, thanks greatly!!
Has she given birth?
Just spotted this video today. Very impressive work by the cam operator. And it's good to see that the bird is social distancing during the pandemic.
What a beautiful bird❤ thanks
An hour show of this with requisite commercial breaks would be better than late night talk shows.
What a gorgeous bird of prey, clearly this Falcon has been tagged as you can see on both of its Talons, what a treat to see this up close like this.
What a beautiful bird...
Great timing and cooperation! Tonga flew off in time for cam op to get back to ship spotting!
Great footage indeed!
One very inquisitive bird too, staring at the lens reflection in between snacks...thinking, am I really that handsome ; )
Peregrine's are considered the fastest bird on earth. A superior hunter.
That's a beautiful bird 👍

That's cool! See a bird of prey doing so well. That means we're doing something right!
Nice video! Thanks for posting. 🦅

Hey we have a roof leak again... same spot. Nice doggy 6:00 tasty little morsel.
How cool!
Put a small nest box up there and this cam could become vastly more popular. Just a thought.
Wow, she sure has a big set of hooks!!
It knows the camera is there and just showing off.
Probably curious and I agree.
try to imagine how the world is seen through her "enhanced precision vision"....like 4k compared to old analog tv
Awesome! I wonder if someone 'in the know' saw those tags and could tell us a little history??
fred holley Someone answered your question
unfortunately individual cam operators/mods aren't recognized for their intuitive decisions which create epic clips.
Que lindo, e que vista linda

Hello! Looking for prey? What do they feed on?
Cool
I forgot how she got the name Tonga... Isn't it an acronym?
Why is it cute
I think the reason the peregrine falcons are here is because of the pigeon problems, so probably pigeons and other things
Wait the train lol !
Linda ave!
Beautiful Bird! God's creations are beyond compare. 💗🙏

Both ankles are tagged
Killing machines. Took out one of our Morning Doves in one swipe.
Nails must be tough to walk around with.
