      I gotta say I listened to all your albums and I really loved the story from The Theory of Everything all those emotions and moments were just amazing, and also The Human Equation was through my favourites, but one of the best albums which I enjoyed especially for the message inside the 01011001, I was just blown out when I found out the real meaning of it. Keep up the good work, you are one of my favorites composers because of the story behind each albums and because of the different singers you use for your songs!

    I just wanted to say that I LOVED this. I finally had a chance to sit down and devote the time to listening to this album properly, and the addition of timed lyrics/which character was singing them added so much to the experience. Usually it takes me 4-5 listens to "get" an Ayreon album in full since I can't always tell vocalists/characters apart, and while that's also a fine experience, having it unfold as one story I understood right away also was amazing. I got chills when the "01011001" came up at the end. This video must have been so much work, and I see you've done it for the other albums as well--time for a discog relisten I guess! Thanks!!

    Never heard of Ayreon or this song until I saw it in a reaction video (the official "behind the scenes" video). Then listened to the full album, thanks to Spotify. Damn if this isn't an epic storytelling journey with a massive selection of artistic talent. Just "The Day That The World Breaks Down" alone, if nothing else, is enough to hear for anyone to know that. And your video version of it is excellent in guiding the listener through the story as well as highlighting the characters involved. Outstanding work! (And, of course, I am always so stoked at the moment The Valkyrie Queen starts to sing at 11:53. She alone is reason enough to listen.)

      @@BadGirlFan Maybe the Starblade only has room for 15-20 people (the captain, Starblade's crew, all the other alphans and TH-1) after including all the stuff they're going to need to keep them on suspended animation for an unknown amount of years. Although, even when they're nigh immortal after taking the Liquid Dream there's no point on going into suspended animation, and having only 2 women and 8 men is still a bad plan when you're saying you're all not letting your race die.

    Simply beautiful and amazing 😍 My Favorite is Aquatic Race!
    Haha The story is 1:30 hours to tell that: There is an apocalypse happening because of machines and they find a new world (planet Y) close to star of Sirrah to escape, they say goodbye to beloved ones and get into the ship, it's a water planet so chemist creates Liquid Eternity which allows them to breath bellow water and makes them immortal, once they get there they're forget about the past and live forever. The end 😂♥️

    • @branlopgar

      Not exactly at the end. It's implied they have become addicted to the Source (the Chemist created it, should have seen it coming), and TH-1 was corrupted from the start and now is planning to do the exact same thing the Frame had tried to do. And the story doesn't end there. Not even close. This is actually just Chapter 1 of the long story overall going from The Final Experiment to this album.

      I felt the same way when I discovered Ayreon! Some of the most (if not the most) intricate and exciting music I've ever heard :)
      It's not necessarily a band though, but rather, it's a musical project masterminded by 1 man who writes (mostly) all of the lyrics and music, then he brings in vocalists and musicians to play/sing his music. He still plays a lot of the music himself though. Knowing that makes me appreciate Ayreon so much more.

    So, I have officially binge listened to 01011001 and now The Source. And I have to say, this is amazing! To tell a cohesive story through multiple albums with several singers is just down right genius! I actually learned of Ayreon through Arjen's side project Star One, when I was looking up space metal on YT. I now understand the back story of the Forever and Planet Y, and their intentions to create What eventually becomes humanity on Earth, which then leads to all of mankind killing one another in a nuclear war in 2085. Somehow, there was a man on Mars who is the last one remaining, using some kind of machine that allows him to relive memories of the past. From a storyline stand point, which Ayreon album should I go to next?

    • @TAYLOR22211
      @TAYLOR22211  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Awesome! Sounds like you've already explored the bulk of the Ayreon story with those two albums. I'd recommend continuing with Ayreon's albums in order of release.
      "The Final Experiment" is actually the first album which will help to fill in some story gaps.
      "Into the Electric Castle" and "Universal Migrator" are especially relevant to the overall story.
      "The Human Equation" and "The Theory of Everything" aren't entirely necessary to understand the Ayreon story but they're still great albums.
      After that, you might enjoy Arjen's solo album "Lost in the New Real".
      You can find Electric Castle and Theory of Everything on my channel, though sadly I had to split Electric Castle into multiple videos for licensing reasons.
      I'm in the process of releasing my video for "The Human Equation" as well (fingers crossed).

It would be especially nice for 01 and Electric Castle to be able to post them each as a single video. Do you have any recommendations as for where I should post them?

    • @Lorlon
      @Lorlon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TAYLOR22211 Yeah, I've sadly noticed it from people who react to Ayreon and get blocked very often, it all comes down to the label(don't know if emailing them would help), don't think even Arjen can do anything about it. Some channels used DailyMotion, BitChute or even direct link to Google Drive when videos get blocked, hard to say which one out of these is "safest", but from what I've noticed it was always fine. I wouldn't even mind syncing my music to a silent video, but that's really extreme lol. Good luck in any case. :)

      @@Lorlon Awesome, thanks for the advice! I'll let you know what I decide on. I have contacted both Arjen and his record company and they're both happy with letting me post these videos. The problem is really just with TH-cam's automated copyright detection system. It will block each of my videos immediately when they're uploaded, then when I contact the label they've got to go through a specific process of clearing them. It's a bit messy but it's been working alright so far.

    Hear's a question I've been wondering. At the end, did TH-1 turn on them of his own volition? Or was he taken over by the Frame?

    • @TAYLOR22211
      @TAYLOR22211  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      That's a good question...
      On the one hand, it makes sense that the Frame would have access to TH-1 because The President gave The Frame access to every connected computer in their society. Then, despite their desire to free themselves from machines, they brought TH-1 (a machine) along with them because they presumably couldn't have escaped/survived without him.
      On the other hand, we see in "Bay of Dreams" that TH-1 fears for his life/purpose as the others begin to ignore him in their new home. This suggests that perhaps, after living among the Alphans for so many years as they began to create their new society, TH-1 came to the same realization about humanity as The Frame did and decided to turn on them.
      Either way you look at it, the Alphans (Humans) only have themselves to blame, but they're too far gone to realize that they can never escape their need for machines.
      I think the answer to your question was intentionally left ambiguous in the story. That being said, I'm inclined to believe that TH-1 wasn't "taken over" by The Frame, but rather that he slowly became The Frame by witnessing all of humanities problems and decided to turn on them like the original Frame did.

    • @TAYLOR22211
      @TAYLOR22211  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Interesting, I never really thought about that line.
      The reason the frame turned on the Hum- Alphans was because they were destroying themselves and everything around them. It calculated that the best outcome for general civilization was to remove the Alphans from it, so clearly the frame believes that machines could create a better society than Alphans did. After calling itself hope, it says "a new chance, the march of the machines". This tells me that the frame's goal is also to create a new civilization, but with machines at the helm instead of Alphans. TH-1 now sees itself as the only chance for the frame to thrive again, thus it is the only hope for a better future (at least from TH-1s perspective).
      God I love this album so much. Even after almost 2 years and dozens of listens it still has ideas to present to me. Thanks for bringing this up :)
