David Byrne & Sufjan Stevens - Saginaw Michigan (Lefty Frizzell cover, Live 8/23/2006)

David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens performed a cover of Lefty Frizzell's Saginaw Michigan at the Beacon Theatre for the Revenge of the Book Eaters concert. The audience was told, during a mid-show donation drive, that Byrne and Stevens would perform together if $5,000 was raised. The audience tripled that amount and got to see this great cover live.

omg i saw ur post abt this on insta!!!!! there is video Somewhere but ive never been able to find it. been looking for like Years. i only found the audio a few months ago on some really old tumblr post. there's video from this show on youtube (there stands the glass) but none of him with sufjan as far as im aware

@@disorganizedandfunky8422 Omg haha yeah. When I discovered this I spent hours on websites and blogs on the way back machine that all had links to the video but never found anything that was working :') I really hope it shows up somewhere some day!!
