My first musky was caught on a 4 inch cotton cordell jerkbait on my brand new at the time medium heavy casting rod with 40lb braid no leader it bit the braid and the braid wrapped around the hooks that were hanging on to the main line 32 inch musky first one I've ever caught
@@InTheSpread I also fish for bass and walleye so you can imagine that I have plenty of jerkbait and other baits as well as a box full of all sorts of musky baits from spoons to a medussaa and everything in between 😂

You are correct. This is one case when bigger is not necessarily better. The bass crank world is full of excellent musky lures.
