- We get right to work cutting in the driveway to our new shop! With daylight on our side, we complete both the road and the pad for the Quonset Hut. We celebrate this first step of many, along with recent hatching of baby chicks with our first outdoor campfire at the property.
We appreciate you tagging along for our Alaskan adventure 😀
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel! 💙

I'm retired and one of my favorite things to do is sit on my couch and watch you two work. You do a great job. One of my other favorite things to do is watch Bo, Bandit, Pepper, and the chicks lovin life. Thank you.
I agree!
The same here it make`s my day seeing the fur babies and feathered friends
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Me too, love these guys
Two of the hardest workers around. In no time the homestead is growing. Love seeing Bo, Bandit and Pepper. The chicks are adorable with all different colors.
I was worried. It's good to see Bo again😂
Same ! He looks just like my childhood dog 😅
Me too!
Me three
He looks so sweet 😊
Me too!
Your channel keeps getting better and better!!!
From the editing to the content....yall are gaining so much knowledge coupled with common sense, makes it work. You both make a great team and I'm totally stoked to watch your progress!
Ariel’s video work is phenomenal!! It’s like watching National Geographic some videos.
I really admire the both of you because you use your brains by investigating the project, then putting the man hours into it. Great job!
You guys are having too much fun and I love it.😊
Try some witch hazel and a citrus oil mixed and spray it on yourself. Mesquitos do not like citrus.❤
Love watching you two work together! You have such a wide expanse of knowledge. The little baby chicks are so adorable. That’s so exciting. Loved seeing your moose. Do your dogs chase them? Your pizza looked amazing. Love your channel. Your new property is awesome!
It would be awesome to be their neighbors.
Branson should be paying you guys for showing off the equipment. What a unit! Great work guys, can’t wait to see what lies ahead
Branson doesn't exist anymore. Branson tractors were actually made by Kukje of South Korea. Kukje was purchased a few years ago by TYM another Korean tractor manufacturer.
Looks great guys. Make sure you think of water around the shop pad. Make sure it has a couple trenches for it to run away.
We are going to need a nice long video just watching all of the new chicks. They look amazing.
Totally agree! I love little chicks! That black and yellow one was so adorable!
Hi Arielle & Eric , I am an 80 year old wife/ mother / grandmother and I look forward to and thoroughly enjoy your videos … I admire your work ethic , your devotion to each other and to your fur babies … thank you for keeping me entertained , hugs from Canada 🍁
Yes grandma . Hard to find the devotion these days .
Thank you so much!
Eu também vovó, aqui no Brazil amo ver esses dois amorecos, como trabalham bem e tudo sabem fazer❤❤
The opening montage was so fun! Love seeing all the creatures just vibing. Such a nice distraction from scholarship stress lol. That Branson is an absolute BEAST. I love all the Peppi shots we got this video! Beautiful shots of the bees. BABIES, they're so cute I could just eat them up like that decedent looking pizza!
So look forward to your vids. Love that they pop up outside of the weekends. So much work plus new chicks and Pizza! Love seeing the moose, it is amazing to see how they seem to strip the leaves so delicately given they are such huge animals. Bo and Bandit seem to have settled so well into your new place. They almost seem more relaxed and playful despite all the work going on around them. The vid time seems to go by so quickly sadly, dont want them to end. 😀
I've waited along time for Eric to say his arms hurt. He works so hard and so long and Arielle does to. You are both inspirational. Loved seeing the cat.
Looks like all creatures and humans are having fun and enjoying the sunlight ... brings back memories 😊❤
The Branson is a absolute beast. What a game changer for your homestead. 😊Awesome job!
You have so much more potential now with that new land. You’ve come a long way. Looking forward to the shop build.
hello we love your videos. my family talked with you at the home-depot parking lot. they was so excited to meet you. you guys have inspired us to be more self sufficient. much love
Awesome! Thanks guys keep up the good work :)
Will the gravel pit become the new root cellar eventually? It must be so nice to have so much space after the limitations of your previous property. Love seeing it all take shape!
i was thinking the same. That pit shouldn't fill up with water, should it? Your food always look so good.
They have a crawl space, I think they could use that as a root cellar. 👍
@@TheoriginalANGEK439I think they were leaning towards using the crawl space that way.
Since they use the insulated crawlspace as a root cellar, im thinking that pit could be turned into a sunken geothermal greenhouse.
Hey, what a great way to recycle that hole.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You two blow my mind! Two of the hardest workers i know. It's like you both run on batteries that have constant full charge.😊 Awesome tractor work. And that pizza? OMG 🍕.
This is by far my favorite channel on TH-cam and I have watched every video multiple times. Your videos have such beautiful cinematography mixed with interesting and varied content. There is something quite compelling about the joy and enthusiasm both of you display in regards to living a simple and authentic way of life which most people will never be fortunate enough to experience.
Thank you so much 😀
@@SimpleLivingAlaskathe poster is 100% right 😊👍👋❤
Arielle is always working and active. A very hard working lady
Great to see Bo again and Bandit just chilling on his outside bed was awesome. Pepper and the chicks and bees all look so happy (if you can tell a bee is happy). I am worn out but you go so much accomplished. I love the arial views. Double yum to that pizza.
As an over the road flatbed driver I say great job securing the foam load!
You are so much fun to watch! Love the little multi-colored chicks. And your new place is the best! When I lived in Alaska, the bugs were jokingly referred to as the state bird! Thanks again for sharing! You are remarkable!
Eric, you are an inspiration to tractor owners everywhere! Both of you continue to inspire so many of us beyond words! Thank you for being the amazing people that you are! Be safe as you continue on your many adventures!!
Thank you!
It was good to see even Beau out hanging with the family. ❤❤
Another beautiful video of summer at your new property.Tractor is playing vital role in developing your new place.keep working, cooking, eating, fishing, hunting, camping, canning, gardening and smiling.
Tip of the day, when dealing with a thick fluid like hydraulic start your pour with the spout at the top and gradually roll the bucket down as your fluid drains, you won’t have the gurgling. Hope that helps.
Neat tip.
Either that, or if you are using the full contents of the can, make a hole in the can top opposite the the spout, it will introduce air, it 'glugs' as the air that is trying to replace fluid through one aperture, which is why it glugs, also then the fluid will empty in half the time.
I luv watching you guys!!! This property is providing so many of your needs, it fun watching you pull it together. I also luv your camera and editing. I look forward to your posts every week.
The editing of this video was just a masterpiece. So entertaining and beautiful. We enjoyed it immensely.
I don't believe that I am subscribed to a more enjoyable TH-cam channel than this one. Thank you both for your dedication to making this channel such a good and consistent view of huge part of so many of the things that you do in your life in Alaska.
Glad you’re getting the sun for your projects. It’s been raining in the Anchorage bowl. I love the professional brush trimmer (moose) you have coming in.
In Minnesota, such sheet metal huts have been crushed by ice and snow and blown down. An interior truss arch system of your own lumber could reinforce the steel exoskeleton and optionally support insulation and interior sheeting.
Stronger than a pole barn wind and snow loads if it's bolted down properly.
@@robertfandel9442 Pole Barn specifications vary on snow load and wind load etc so that is not a definitive statement, some fail and some don't.
The end walls will support and shape the form of the structure. The sheet metal sections have built-in flexibility that must be constrained over a long 60-foot span and the combination of straight and curved panels weakens the integrity of the arch's 40-foot span. Wind could put everything in motion, and snow drifts are irregular, not a good thing. I can't help but love your creativity and adventurous spirit but be careful on this one.
Can we say “yes” to seeing the cooking come back?!! Great job on using and taking care of your Branson!! Ariel your videography is so beautiful! ❤❤
You two are doing an amazing job. Love watching everything come together. So good to see Bo today. Thank you for taking us along. Looking forward to future videos. Take care. Make sure to get some rest. ✌️🇺🇸❤️
All that soil your moving can be the future garden 😊 you two are my favorite you tube channel #1🎉
Seeing those Chicks reminds Me of learning how quickly they go from Egg to fully grown Bird. Love those broody Hens. Great video, thanx for sharing.😃
I am always amazed at the research and quality of work you both put into everything you create. I enjoy your videos and find this aspect of your new move the most interesting. Carry on!
The new chicks are so cute. When you had the one just breaking out the mama looked like, hey put that back. You both work so hard and you take care of Bo, Bandit and Pepper. That’s why I watch.
What an amazing job you are doing. So excited to see future projects.
I have never seen two people more compatible than you guys. Thanks for starting this weekend off with positive energy!👍🌲
You’d think I grew up on the frontier by the way I look forward to your videos! Excellent, as always. And, as a food lover, I always enjoy when you guys cook.
You two are having to much fun. Eric loving his tractor, Arielle watching the chicks hatching.
Nice having your own gravel. Looking forward to the next chapter of your build.
And the pizza look delicious.
Blessings to you both. 😊🇺🇲
What a treat to wake up to in Australia ! Love this journey so much ! Good job guys thanks for bringing us with you !
You are my favorite couple to watch I am a construction carpenter/millwright/plumber/electrician/cabinet builder and I appreciate watching all that you do I’m 67 now If I was your age I would Love to do what you do You are a great inspiration to folks A lot of folks have your dreams but lack the funds Congratulation on achieving what your heart desires WITH a lot of hard work🤙🏻🙏🏼❤️🤠
You are absolutely brilliant. Your commitment to each other and the projects you work so hard on renews my confidence in humanity.
the intro song mixed with your editing was perfect! *chefs kiss*
I’m beginning to think all this construction is just so Eric can use the tractor!
Of course I’m kidding. It’s all so amazing and inspiring. Love your video days❤️
There is a saying that when you spend a lot of time together, you wind up looking like each other. Well, you two do! Alot. I love y'all. Your new home is awesome! Thank you for sharing.
The shop is going to be one of the best things y’all could ever do for your future use, storage and keeping your equipment from deteriorating in the weather and freezing! Your dreams are coming true and y’all deserve them all. Love the chicks, and the pizza party to celebrate. Be well and safe and much love to all ❤🎉. Can’t wait to see your next video!
Always enjoy seeing Pepper, Bandit and Beau. Beau seems to enjoy the warmer weather. The baby chicks are sooooo cute.
Great work as a team again! The tractor is a workhorse! Broody hens and chick always make me smile.
You two have to be one of the best couples I've ever seen. You two have something I was looking for all of my life I'm a 65 year old disabled man who always wanted to do what y'all are doing but unfortunately I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and COPD. Also the women that I have in my I had in my would never have done what y'all were doing. Consider yourselves lucky to have found each other and work out so well I'm glad I came across your
Next-level editing, guys! Loved the music, the photography, the everything. Thanks for letting us into your world.
I really enjoy your diary of living in Alaska....you're living my dream of 45 years ago! LOL I decided, much to my dismay, to join a big company in Seattle. Sometimes we don't understand the mistakes we made until we're down the road a few years later. Regardless of my failures, your endeavor's thrill my heart. Enjoy your journey, keep memories for your grandchildren when they show up! 😉
The drone shots of shed drive really gives a nice perspective.
The gray chick with the
Yellow around eyes is so cute. Arielle youall seem so much happier at your new place. I love following your
story. I wish I li:d the same way so I live through youall . Love and blessings
You both are so industrious. I am always in awe of how well you work together towards your goals. Thank you for sharing your adventures here on TH-cam. I get excited when I am notified Simple Living Alaska has posted a new video!
That intro was 10/10, teared up at Bandit, Pepper, and Bo. So cute
Loved the opening sequence guys!!! The homestead is really coming along. You have terrific ideas, a great work ethic and clearly are loving life! Hugs and cuddles to Bo, Bandit, Pepper and give some extra greens to the flock. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Love that independant black cat!!
just started watching but wanted to say your editing is great and the Matte of summer and your edits with music top notch. Great Job A!
Good Morning. That tractor you guys bought has been so much help. Your goals all look so doable now. What a team you are. God bless and keep the videos coming.
Your both doing great job on your new property, can't wait to see your new shop, will be so nice in the winter to work inside.
Enjoyed the drive-by of Eielson AFB (mile 26 Alcan). I spent 18 months there in 1967-68 -- memories.
Whatever day you upload a video is my favorite day of the week! Looking good, this new land and all your projects is so darn exciting. Always love the food, nature, and animal segments too. Have a great week.
I'm 76 ,we had our own bus depot had so much work to do on our 0.55 acre ,retired now built a 3000 sq ft workshop on it, now my work is restoring and riding old British motorcycles, l really enjoy your enthusiasm and dedication! Best from the uk
Y’all did such a great job on the driveway and pad. Thanks for sharing your life. And that pizza looked amazing!!!!
Thank you for demonstrating regular, routine and required maintenance of your equipment!! We all need to normalize and show love to our gear [read: investments] and get friends/family involved on the processes and importance of respecting the things we have so that each piece can last us as long as possible!
You're getting the full value and more of the tractor, and with the purchase of those 40foot longlogs, the work you will achieve this summer will be immense. Makes for longer, greater videos for us!
I really appreciate Eric's experpertise with the mechanics of keeping a homestead running! Keep up the great videos!
Some excellent footage and great editing ! Exiting project too. You guys rock ❤
Awww 27:08, poor Bo, nose against the glass! Mom, can I go outside and play? And love his Boterfly. Happy birthday little chicks! Love the black and yellow chicklet.
Was getting worried that you were going to make a video without making me hungry. You never fail me. The pizza looked great. You are making great strides. Hope you can get a bunch done before snow flies. Be safe. Till next time..
OK…..You guy are going to have to start doing some longer video’s………...like 2-3 hours long!!! That’s the only way we will have enough………for one day!!!😂😂😂😂. You guys are amazing to take on the jobs you do to get your homestead going the way you want…..AND WE CAN”T GET ENOUGH!!! Thank You for letting us live through your experiences!!! I for one LOVE IT!!! Take care……Now I have to go back to the beginning and watch it a couple mor times!! Stay Safe!!
You guys are such hard workers! It was good to see Bo. I love your videos! Can't wait until the next one.
That is some nice top soil you saved there. That dirty moss, as you called it, Holds nutrients very well. Insolation is higher at altitude and high latitudes. Literally more sunlight. Be prepared for those aspen roots to sprout. Great ungulate forage!
Tiny biters, 'noseeums' are midges. Gnats don't bite but do drive you crazy in eyes and other places for salts.
Harbor, battery xfer pump. That Pizza looks AWESOME!
Thanks 👍
You guys are simply amazing!!! Every week, I cant wait for a new video, cuz I know about every 4-5 days there will be a new adventure with you guys!!! Love you, and love all you keep doing to improve your new space, even though I was sad when you were leaving your old space!!
Superb progress, looking good. Chickens look very happy indeed. Proper maintenance on the beast too. You are putting the prep work in to buy yourselves a richly deserved better outcome than most. Loved the "summer" graphic mask too. A joy to watch. Be well all.😉
The chicks are so pretty. You guys are going in great strides on the homestead in such a short time.
How awesome is that to have gravel right there to work with. You're doing a great job with the drive and pad, that tractors a real workhorse...lol 😂😅 The pizza looked amazing, something I may try at home. Love ya'll ❤
Thank you
😊
Lots of love and light to the adorable 4 and claw footed.
Beau you are magnificent. ❤
Love seeing all the progress you are making on your new place! Looks like you are doing great! And that pizza looks just scrumptious!!
Your video's are consistently among the sharpest and most clear of all the you tubers I follow. Well done.

As always you never disappoint ❤ video of the moose is amazing. Hope your project goes easy and fast for you. Take care
Scorsese over here with the music, editing, and cinematic effects! For real, though, people don’t realize how much work goes into making these vlogs. Love y’all!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can't wait to watch!❤
❤ you guys don't waist a second I learn so much. Get er done
I so admire the two of you. You live the dream the way it should be. The chicks are super cute, along with all the other fur babies. Greetings from Michigan. :)
Cool lead in. High summer. Don't try to work til dark. Not happening. Chains for the tractor for winter use., front and back. Some good looking dirt coming out of the work area. Bees look great. They'll produce til about Labor Day. That's when it's time to harvest moose pizza meat on the hoof. If you could just velcro a tracker on it. Made that run to Fairbanks many a time. When the leaves change late Aug/early Sept it's outa this world beautiful. Good job on the shop grounds. Yeah boy some heat. You'll love it. The shops I made had it. Felt wonderful. Hey when you put the ends in the shop hut make a sliding barn style door on the opposite end. You can cover it over but have it in place just in case you will need to pull something through the building. Simple to do. Someday you'll need a way through it. And you may want to extend it as well. Never big enough. Vid was really good. Music, drone, graphics, all coming together well. You've picked it up a notch. Good fortune in your endeavors. Just can't smell the pizza on screen. Looked delicious.. Going to be fun tying off and putting up the hut. Did a couple airplane hangers. Battery tools, what an invention. A million nuts and bolts. Later, be careful.
You two are miracles workers!
Can’t wait to see what happens next week!
Hello,
I want you to know that I can't find the words to tell you two how much I enjoy watching you two. I am 82 male in a wheelchair, THANK YOU
Our pleasure!
The shop adventure begins! Definitely a lot of work ahead of you, but how amazing it will be when finished! So much room for storage, project work space and so much more ❤❤
I'm glad to know that there are people like you two. If you work hard for things that you can stand back at the end of the day. And say today was a good day. And you take care of your things.
Always great to see you guys at work! I enjoy your channel a lot! Thanks for sharing your life and thoughts and ideas with us!😊
Love the footage!
Making progress!!
OMGosh ... I LOVE LOVE LOVE baby chick's.
As usual your cinematology is awesome!
Hey am learning English over here, I got a quick question your comment made me wonder, is it cinematology or cinematography?
