I'm not sure a new truck is the correct direction. I'm rooting for a new shop i hope you can reach your goal for that.

Of course a new truck is a good direction for the channel. Because YOU wouldn’t or can’t buy a 70k truck doesn’t mean others can’t. It also doesn’t mean it won’t create great content. I came to the channel for the OG. I enjoy the stuff that blue collar guys can do in there backyard to the trucks that we use and abuse day to day. Upgrades to use not to look at. Repairs from using and playing a little to hard most of the time. I’d still like the channel with whatever you decide. Looking forward to more.

The OG is what brought me to your channel when I had my 2013 Silverado, I learned a ton from them videos. I’d love to see it be taken to the next level that it deserves. But on the other hand a old 3100 Chevy would be insane.

I bought a 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L) new, fully loaded. Added a CAI, Borla ATAK, and Pulsar LT. The 6.2L is an absolute BEAST. I call my truck a GMC "Corvette 4x4". One quick machine. I do like the new 2022 interiors...but, not the prices. I got mine for about $55K.
I have a 2020 trail boss LT and watching your channel has definitely helped me become more comfortable modding my truck. Nothing major, but going with a new truck that most can’t afford will just have us watching what you do instead of watching and doing mods on our own trucks. I would love to see a supercharger on the OG and a starlight roof liner in the trail boss.
I would like to see the old Chevy being put back together at your dads, and i would like to see like a 6.2 supercharger swap on the old 01 rather than a new ZR2.
I was all about the ZR2, but they didn’t do enough to make it more than the trail boss. Yes, dual lockers are nice, and the interior is updated, but it’s more of the same truck. Part of what makes your channel successful is all of us with the TB and Silverado watching your channel for inspiration and learning what to do with out on trucks. There’s still tons you could do with your current truck to make it even more awesome.
I think your viewer audience is predominantly the average DIYer. Not sure the ZR2 would speak to your target audience. Don’t get me wrong it would be dope, just don’t see many of your viewers buying a ZR2. I came to the channel because I have a Trail Boss LT as well. Love the content and you showed me a lot. Keep doing what you’re doing brother.
Everyone here has a good point about your channel and the reasons why we all watch you do cool, fun upgrades on your trucks and ZL1. I certainly look forward to see your new shop! I've been impressed with how you set up your garage. Since your channel is based on GM upgrades, I think you should pursue getting yourself a new ZR2 and upgrade it with the usual equipment. The only upgrade that would be bold would be to install a Whipple supercharger. Build your own ZR2 Beast! Black is sharp but blue with matte black wheels would be energetic!
I Got a 2021 Trail Boss and i watch all your video's, we will support you on the journey. Thinking the ZR2 is kinda out there for new content just because on a small few can afford it and all the upgrades which will take some time to get from release of new year. I do like the new shop idea. You do what you fill is right in your heart and what direction is right for you we will be here. I love the refresh LT but besides the interior and new grill really don't see that a great change worth buying that eother. What ever you decide we will be here to watch as we do right now. Do what would make you happy. Because it will show up in your videos. People tune in to see you, not just your vehicles. Your channel will grow organically no matter what direction you take as long as you are passionate about it.

I think the ZR2 would be great. I can’t quite afford one yet so seeing somebody else building on one and showing it off would definitely keep me coming back looking for content. I mean I do that anyways but the minute I saw “ZR2” in the title I clicked. I also think expanding on your inventory of vehicles will be great for your channel. It’ll help broaden your community and bring new people to the channel. I say buy it!
Get it...I got an AT4X and love the truck, it is probably the best truck I have owned, I get new trucks every 6 months to 3 years. I have owned them all from ram to Ford, and chose the AT4X over the Raptor and the TRX. The ZR2 was a close 2nd, in the end it came down to the dash board of the GMC. Good luck with the purchase.
FYI Vin #'s that start with 3 are made in Mexico Vin #'s that start with 1 are made in the USA. You can tell your dealer you want yours built in the USA if that matters to you.
Instead of buying a 70k ZR2 I would buy a base model 4x4 (new or used) and create your own ZR2 inspired truck that is more of that "Raptor / Baja" style. It will give you more freedom to go in the direction that you want. Keep up the great content! Hope you hit the 100k soon.
Would love to see the old truck come back to life, keep what you have and invest in what you have. Let them figure out the kinks in the new ZR2 first. Love your channel man, you make is simple for the not so handy guys out there.

Like many commenters I started watching because I have a 2020 RST and have followed many of your mods on my own truck. You do a great job compared to others of explaining them easy enough for the average owner with a basic garage. I'm looking forward to the prospect of breaking ground on a full shop. I don't know the ZR2 is the best route right now as after markets mods and parts aren't developed yet. Look forward to seeing what decision you make and hope there's more on the OG 99 work!

When I got my 21 Trail Boss I came to this channel for a lot tips and ideas. I say go with the zr2 I just feel like with newer things comes more opportunities. You could always do upgrades with the other cars which everyone loves but I think the zr2 would be the next best thing for the channel.

Love the channel man, just bought a new 2022 trail boss and here they are adding 7 to 10 grand for fair market value. I build my own vehicles, latest being a newer Tahoe being lifted with 35s. Prices are getting outrageous.
My 2022 6.2L trail boss (custom) with $6200 in add-ons … out the door was $52k I think I’m todays market I did quite well. Still a lot of money for a truck, but I’m happy. So that’s worth something.
Definitely do somthing with the older or the newer silverado !! Love watching you do mods and swappa and all that good stuff thats what brought me here !
I own a 2020 Chevy TRail boss I’m building now, your channel has been a great help for me to work on my truck myself… I also plan to buy a ZR2 in 2023, So that’s my vote so I can watch you mod that and help me spend my kids college fund 😂😂

i like the new ZR2 trucks, BUT with the chip shortages along with existing issues that have not been addresed like DFM. i think fixing up the 2020 is a way to keep going. for instance adding the new 6-way tailgate to your truck along with the kicker stereo for example.
I ordered a ZR2, so naturally I would like it if you got one too so that I can upgrade with you. However, it sounds like many people want to see more of the Trail Boss and a new shop. Whatever your decision - I support you and love the content!

Regardless the route you take, I’d always watch. With that being said, I would definitely enjoy watching you get the new zr2. I even thought about getting it but can’t justify the price just yet. Maybe the new content for it might motivate me for my next purchase. Keep up the good content.
I know you’re a Chevy guy, but like you said, RAM is still on too in the interior game. Would love to see you consider going RAM Rebel or a Laramie/Limited if you’re looking to spend that much anyway.
Love the content that you are putting out. I personally think you should continue to upgrade the '20 and the OG. I don't think the new ZR2 would be a good choice due to the limited amount of upgrades that will be on the market. Not to mention the new shop that you will be getting! Please, for the love of all wrench turners, keep up the footage with pops and the '99.

I think you should keep the 2020 LT trail boss and do more upgrades to it and the other truck and car. I do not see many people being interested in the ZR2 just because not many people will be able to afford it as well that watch your Channel. I like your channel for the just every can afford stuff to upgrade your trucks and cars.
I joined the Chanel because I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom trail boss with a 2.7L and I wanted to see what mods to do to my truck and I love how your truck came out, if you do decide to get another one I say get the Northsky Blue it looks beautiful that’s what I have

Get 2022 TB refresh. No need for the ZR2 with your capabilities in upgrading all those parts anyway. You still get the new interior without the added cost of ZR2. It would relate more to the average joe watching your channel for ideas on their own TB.
I'm not sure if it's that same with you since you're in Texas but here in Canada the used truck market is so bad right now dealers are buying 1-4 year old models for at or over MSRP... so the difference might not be as steep as you think
Don’t waste your money on the ZR2. The electronic suspension would be a pain to upgrade and the locking diffs can be done cheaper than the extra $30k they want for it. Get the new Trailboss to get that upgraded interior and use the money you’ll save to supercharge it. Love the channel.

You need to use the 1500 Silverado NOT the LTD. The LTD is the same as your 2020.
Saw that after, but wanted to "price" out the '22 (same model as mine) for reference.

I say go with the zr2 I just feel like with newer things comes more opportunities. You could always do upgrades with the other cars which everyone loves but I think the zr2 would be the next best thing for the channel.

Love the channel man, just bought a new 2022 trail boss and here they are adding 7 to 10 grand for fair market value. I build my own vehicles, latest being a newer Tahoe being lifted with 35s. Prices are getting outrageous.

Trade in the older one towards the 70k. Lowers the payment then can take more of the money from adverts towards parts and such

I think I’m todays market I did quite well. Still a lot of money for a truck, but I’m happy. So that’s worth something.

Build what you have… I purchased a 2022 trial boss Silverado LT with a 6.2L in November of 2021 and I’m building it.

I own a 2020 Chevy TRail boss I’m building now, your channel has been a great help for me to work on my truck myself… I also plan to buy a ZR2 in 2023, So that’s my vote so I can watch you mod that and help me spend my kids college fund 😂😂

I’ve Only seen about 3 comments with any sort of common sense like yours. Everyone else wants him to basically keep the channel exactly the same.
i like the new ZR2 trucks, BUT with the chip shortages along with existing issues that have not been addresed like DFM. i think fixing up the 2020 is a way to keep going.
for instance adding the new 6-way tailgate to your truck along with the kicker stereo for example.
I ordered a ZR2, so naturally I would like it if you got one too so that I can upgrade with you. However, it sounds like many people want to see more of the Trail Boss and a new shop. Whatever your decision - I support you and love the content!

Regardless the route you take, I’d always watch. With that being said, I would definitely enjoy watching you get the new zr2. I even thought about getting it but can’t justify the price just yet. Maybe the new content for it might motivate me for my next purchase. Keep up the good content.

Love the content that you are putting out. I personally think you should continue to upgrade the '20 and the OG. I don't think the new ZR2 would be a good choice due to the limited amount of upgrades that will be on the market. Not to mention the new shop that you will be getting! Please, for the love of all wrench turners, keep up the footage with pops and the '99.
I have to agree with the other commenters, plus almost every other TH-camr is buying a zr2 other than lmfscrew. But in the end do what YOU think is best. Can't wait see the garage! BTW you need to get AT&T Fiber its the best.

I think you should keep the 2020 LT trail boss and do more upgrades to it and the other truck and car. I do not see many people being interested in the ZR2 just because not many people will be able to afford it as well that watch your Channel. I like your channel for the just every can afford stuff to upgrade your trucks and cars.

Just get a new trail boss with the 6.2. Perhaps you can even swap put some of aftermarket items.
Don’t add to the fleet, build up the OG (with a GM power plant), do some more mods to the ZL1 and build a dope garage at the house!
Get 2022 TB refresh. No need for the ZR2 with your capabilities in upgrading all those parts anyway. You still get the new interior without the added cost of ZR2. It would relate more to the average joe watching your channel for ideas on their own TB.

I'm not sure if it's that same with you since you're in Texas but here in Canada the used truck market is so bad right now dealers are buying 1-4 year old models for at or over MSRP... so the difference might not be as steep as you think
Don’t waste your money on the ZR2. The electronic suspension would be a pain to upgrade and the locking diffs can be done cheaper than the extra $30k they want for it. Get the new Trailboss to get that upgraded interior and use the money you’ll save to supercharge it. Love the channel.
Love the content. I would love to see the OG come back to life. For the ZR2 price is insane but would be cool to see what route you would take it. I ordered my first trail boss (2022 refreshed model) and after watching your videos helped me decide which avenues I want to take.
