Corey doesn't know what he is talking about. The primary issue with firing stocked, black powder revolvers isn't gas and particulate matter flying backwards towards one's face. (They have a shield behind the cylinder to stop this) It is gas and particulate matter flying forward and sideways from the front cylinder gap (between the barrel and the cylinder). This requires the firearm to be held with the secondary hand (usually the left) below or behind the cylinder gap to avoid powder burn.
Yep, the domed humps on the frame above the grip but to the rear of the cylinder I can't remember the name of... recoil something or other. Dance Bros. of Texas produced Colt copies for the CSA, but omitted that part of the frame due to scarcity of steel.
Well to be fair to Corey he is a businessman in a pawn shop he sees a lot of different items he certainly not an expert he might be knowledgeable about some things and then not so much on others which is one of the premises of the show is they have to call an expert to elaborate on specific items more in-depth than the specific nature but I mean Corey's only going off what he knows and what he's personally observed and then of course I mean from a firearm perspective I mean there is a different technique to a shoulder fire revolver than a traditional handheld one but it didn't catch on and only really true aficionados were able to utilize the pistol stock tanning great affect whether it is pure sport or competition shooting and it is a Lost Legacy in art that a lot of these Wonder historical significant weapons just didn't catch on if what might have been had technology going a different direction.
$1200 ? That's especially generous for what it is.... considering Corey started at $800 I thought he would come swinging back with $900 and stay steady at $1000 ready to walk beyond that. I wonder if they'll make more than $150 profit from it
Craig is one of my favorite experts ...the way he explains things ..breaks em down and is real chill about everything..I'm surprised Corey went to $1200 i figured no more than $1000
Who know, maybe there was a falling out, maybe he had like a contract to do a few seasons on the show, and it never got renewed. There are alot of the "experts that leave after a few seasons and never come back."
I actually like the stock and it can be made to fit well but obviously I would not want it on a older firearm where gun powder is manually put into it.
Expert : It's rare maybe 15 grand This puppy : (Silence) Expert : Wait, Umm It is top on 1,500 This puppy : Cool, I'll give you 750 and a half of puppy snacks
If U look more closely Van Cleef is probably using a .45LC caliber 1873 Colt SAA (Single Action Army), readily identifiable by the closed loading gate gap @ right rear cylinder, & the ejection rod shroud angled below the barrel.
@mopoligist420 @mopoligist420 thanks for the advice mate will keep that in mind and the thing is I have never dealt in such things nor I wanna sell it , it's our family sword kept from generations just wanted to check what it's worth.
I have a very old piece of wood and i am from europe. This piece of wood is around 300 years old but i think it might be a 1000 yo. It looks more like an artifact. Do you know how much i can get for it?

Bruh the computers not even on and he’s acting like he’s typing something in 😂

You sir are correct
Yep, the domed humps on the frame above the grip but to the rear of the cylinder I can't remember the name of... recoil something or other. Dance Bros. of Texas produced Colt copies for the CSA, but omitted that part of the frame due to scarcity of steel.
Right on.

Rick: Let me call a buddy of mine, he knows everything there is to know about this kinda stuff. *Ghost of Wyatt Earp walks in*
Matthew Thomas Sam Colt walks in.
Hahahahahaha.. that was Great!
Rick is cheaper than a plastic penny
Rick wasn't in this video buddy

You know what they say about stocks, "Buy low, sell high."
For something that half-fake, over 50% of the asking price is really good
That was a cruel thing to do.... "could be worth $15000" then proceeds to demolish all that guys hopes and dreams lol
No it wasn't. The guy knew exactly what he was going to get for it when he showed up on the set.
@@UpperDarbyDetailing relax genius
@@frankwhite9170 Why? There are still way too many people who believe the negotiations are live.
I feel bad for that guy
The old 1876 Colt Buntline Special, 12” barrel, .45 caliber, wood stock. Very much a collectors item today!
Anyone know why Craig stopped appearing on the show? I think he was one of the better experts they had
I think he may have owed chum some money for meth or something
He owed chum money for meth
Chum banned him from the store because craig didn’t pay him back for the meth he sold him

If I ever have a item to bring to that shop I will request NOT to deal with Corey
I can’t stand him.
@@nurglina i cant stand you
Nah, just have it checked independently before hand
He'd be lucky to get $800 from Rick if it retails for $1500
U tripping i would request only corey
Cory flexing that Rolex
Probably wears a different one everyday. I would if I had a whole case of em
Atleast this Guy didn't throw the stock away!
Do you mind hanging out?
Yeah!
*stays*
I actually like the stock and it can be made to fit well but obviously I would not want it on a older firearm where gun powder is manually put into it.
Corey’s voice sounds like hes always gasping for air.
Coz he's fat, but I'll take Corey's rasp over Rick's laugh any day
He has corona maybe
This one's already been uploaded to this channel.
Yes also on the expert channel's as well - craig gottlieb
Expert : It's rare maybe 15 grand

As someone who studies colt history...
This hurt to watch
You can tell this guy knew what he had and was trying to pull a fast one
Look at corey talking like he really knows the history.he was just trying to remember his lines
Corey must have been in a good mood, I didn't think he'd go over $800.
Lee Van Cleef used this on A Few Dollars More.
I'll give you $15 best I can do
If U look more closely Van Cleef is probably using a .45LC caliber 1873 Colt SAA (Single Action Army), readily identifiable by the closed loading gate gap @ right rear cylinder, & the ejection rod shroud angled below the barrel.
Corey looks like he hasn’t seen a shower in three years. Something about that guy creeps me out.
hahaha too busy counting money
@@armiduzitbest And spending it

Corey moving the mouse," SCREEN IS OFF " wdf! did that monitor have anti-spy protection or what?
We’ve seen this already
that's a gorgeous painting behind Corey.
anybody know anything about it.
Dont think its any famous art work
Corey is Wrong
Poor data
isnt it weird that cory and his dad have the same friends?
Yeah. None.
I find it ironic how hes sounding more and more like his dad every episode. lol. Hes gonna shave his head and beard soon I bet
Craig is the best
Rerun!
There’s an old saying, life is like a roller coaster 😂
the dude who works there has the charisma of a table. dont like watching him at all.
Hard pressed to find a reproduction 1860 and shoulder stock for $750. I think they low ball firearms
All pawn shops low ball firearms, I bought a shotgun for $210, shot it maybe 10 times, and sold it for $90 to a pawn shop come college time
Finn The Cheese that’s the way it goes
The brass is a dead giveaway.
If was Rick he would have gotten 600 tops
Its possible the fit was ruined by someone cleaning it. Because of the brass. Different colors. But
Corey read a book about the item, sure
Dreams crushed...
Bugger !
I hope the seller is not an accountant.
This looks like a book to me.
First time I don’t believe in the guy they bring to give an opinion 🙏🌻💜
This is a reupload
i hate how cool corey thinks he is
This ep is old
I reckon the appraiser put the stock back together incorrectly, because he got his "expert" feelings hurt
Nonsense
Valuer: its worth right arould the 10000 dollar mark
Rick: ill give you 40 bucks for it i got to make profit and its a huge risk
Kinda cool
Gotta pay off tuition for my kids...imma sell it for 2k
Craig Goetlib
How much for the necklace?🤷♂️
Corey is a horrible asset to the show. Period.
For real. Couldn't imagine how big of a D bag he is in real life.
I hate that it could be a 1840s pistol and they want it in excellent condition.
I think Corey took pity on him cause of him wanting to use it for college fees.
Bug eye 00 Graig
What do you want from a pawn shop slappy
Better than Rick. He would have offered this poor bloke 600-700.
This is an old episode
He said ‘ye’ so he did mind
I use to own one . I sold it for alot of money 💰
The man was stupid to sell at that price.
I would have kept it.
It happened sweetheart
ATF wants there $200 fee for the tax stamp needed to install that but stock.
College is a waist of money ! Trade Schools are the way to go !
Where is the Meth chum 🙄
This fellow looks like Dean Jones.
I don't think he know what he was talking about
Cory doesnt even check if it's loaded. that shoukd have been done first.

Personally I think Corey overpaid.
Get over it the stock is fake. You got a good for it.
I would so buy an original colt 1860 for that $1200. I think any right minded person would.
$1200 doesnt buy much school.. maybe a week at the low end colleges
Reupload.
Too bad it wasn't... stock
does cory realise that he becoming like his father
Never I mean never go to a pawn shop to sell a relic he just screwed you out of about $ 5,000 to 10,000 dollars you have a very rare pistol
