You didn't mention the biggest advantage of their acid blood versus advanced civilizations - it serverly limits where you can kill them as you risk damaging nearby equipment, floors, spacecraft hulls and the guy who shot them at point blank range. If they didn't have that they'd be a _much easier_ firearm kill since collateral damage can cause massive damage. It's why in Alien Tribes, humans develop alkaline laced ammo to kill them. The ammo neutralises the blood so they don't burn through the floor and also poisons the Xenomorph.
What if their blood isn't actually an acid but a base? It would do the same thing, right? So this whole time we're developing an anti acidic ammunition or whatever, we actually needed to go in the opposite direction. Maybe it's so basic that it looks so similar to an acid. She also destroyed lights to conceal herself in darkness, which became useful in many situations. The Warriors in Aliens cut out the power in the colony to get to the humans easier. They also set up an ambush in the vent system. The First Archeron Queen in Aliens was able to negotiate a deal with Ripley: The queen would let Ripley and Newt leave peacefully as long as they didn't destroy her eggs. After that, she understood how an elevator worked after seeing it in use only once. Then, she hid in the landing gear of the dropship that the humans were using to escape. Grid from A.V.P knew to avoid the plasma blasts that Scar was firing. He also was the second in command for the Antarctic xenomorph hive, second only to the queen. I'd give more examples, but I'm using a mobile, which isn't easy. But this just goes to show that xenomorphs aren't dumb creatures. Their intelligence rivals that of a chimpanzee, almost human like actually. They've fooled and trapped lots of people. Don't underestimate them, they might just surprise you.

3 biggest limitations 1. No real space navy a strong orbital defense stops them 2. Dependent on a host so a Robot army takes away their advantage 3. They need a queen to produce eggs and face huggers so once you take that out they are limited till.a new queen is born.
*Finding smart host…* Oh come on, it's been establish in all the _Xenomorph documentaries_ that it's always the idiot who looks in the opening alien egg that becomes the primary host.
Sadly this is very true on a massive scale, the idiot is always the first to go in any horror film but then again, the saying goes "Curiosity killed the Cat" plays perfectly here for discovering the first egg, yeah if anyone does find that egg and your in my group, don't expect to wake up cause once you are "Dorked and Corked" by a facehugger, you're pretty much already dead so killing you would be showing mercy.
The biggest mistake ever made in an Alien movie, was when Ripley flamed the Hive Queen's nest. She could have let it be and the exploding reactor would have wiped the nest out.
Kangaroos are also protective of their chest bursters… Got a small scar near my eye to remind me of that when some other kids tried to pat a Joey. So mum panics, hops away and I'm blocking her path and got hit in the face. You don't see human host punching you _after_ someone threatens a chest burster that forced its way through their ribcage.
Not to sound like a Xeno sympathizer but the pulse rifle uses explosive rounds and it's standard ammunition which is why it's always effective against their scrum
The Aliens are physically the most lethal enemies talked about in this series. Fiona Tank Girl calculated the Nids physically capabilities, the Hierophant can put out 100 + kilotons. The Ravager Alien, is calculated putting out over 15 megatons, theirs no material or Armor that can stop the Ravager, and one thig we can use for calculations is bunkers like Crystal Peak. During the Earth War, every bunker was torn through by lesser Aliens, and Crystal Peak can survive indirect 15 megaton nuclear explosions.
Aliens are actually pretty intelligent, though it it is influenced by their host, or infected target, the Command type Aliens, like Queen Mothers, War Empresses, and likely Kings, are calculated in universe, in Aliens omnibus 1, as being way more intelligent than humans, and with their ability to be aware of things cosmically, like in The Earth Wars and Aliens vs Predator Extinction, we see they can make extremely detailed plans and can share information universally.

Has this guy even watched the movies he shows clips of? Aliens can be incredibly intelligent or incredibly dumb. It seems that in large numbers they rely on those numbers instead of smarts but they ARE smart. Some examples: *All movies the aliens often wait for their prey to be alone, weak, or distracted before attacking *In the first movie the xenomorph just so happens to hide in Ripley's escape shuttle? It could be coincidence or that alien could have realized the ship was in danger and to hide out there, but granted that's speculation and it could have been dumb luck *In the 2nd movie the queen tells her warriors to stand down when Ripley had her flamethrower pointed to her eggs. This shows that the queen knows what flamethrowers do, and knows not to attack Ripley when she has the upper hand, this scene also shows reasoning that if the queen let's this human go then her eggs will be safe so she calls off her attack. Also the warriors didn't immediately attack like instinct would tell them to, they waited for the queens order to attack. *In the third film the alien realizes that the humans are leading it into a cage to trap it. This shows that the alien can think ahead and it also dismisses the notion that the intelligence of the host effects the alien as the host was a canine..a dog and most dogs while loving are not intelligent enough to see a trap it's being led into. *In alien vs predator movie the xenomorph that fans call "net head" uses it's blood as a weapon when it's tail is cut off. Instead of thinking it's tail is gone and therefore has no weapon the alien adapts to it's new handicap and turns it into a strength by flicking it's tail and using it's own blood as a weapon. This shows that not only is the alien aware that it's blood is acidic but also planning, as instead of charging the predator like a wild animal it uses it's blood to attack from a distance. *In alien resurrection? When the 3 xenomorphs were stuck in a cage with no way out they killed off the weakest one to use it's blood to melt through the floor. This shows alot of intelligence as they planned an escape, they were aware of what their blood does and used to to get through the floor. *Also in the 2nd alien movie the xenomorphs as you showed charged the turrents that the Marines were using to hold them at Bay. True this wasn't a bright idea but the aliens were checking their defences to find a way in and they did! The aliens chose a way in that even the humans didn't think about, the ceiling. *Also in the 2nd movie it shows the queen alien aware of how to use the elevator after only seeing Ripley use it once. Those elevators were not automatic and you had to press a button, the queen saw Ripley use one and figured out how to work it in seconds... So all in all they are much smarter than you think, their intelligence goes way further than "only knows how to hunt" To poke some holes through his other "flaws" here we go: * weakness to firearms....what? You just said their armor is tough enough to withstand small caliber rounds...that's not weak, thats damn impressive, when's the last time you got shot by a pistol and the bullet bounced off you? yeah bigger caliber guns can Peirce their armor but the attacker as we have seen time and time again is also at risk of being hurt from the acid blood so still not seeing that as a downside *Vulnerable to fire...uh what isn't? Humans with all our tech still don't have suits that can withstand flamethrower for long periods of time, and those suits are expensive and impractical, hell even predators don't want to be on fire as it does hurt them *no ships. Ok...but they don't need ships. Xenomorphs don't have a plan for a galactic empire, they are essentially parasites. They land on a planet or ship and kill everything on it, something they do damn well mind you. And what's the purpose of a ship? That's right to get from place to place, well aliens already do that by stowing away on those ships...why build a ship if one: they don't have any Galaxy domination plan and two: they can highjack a ship...so why build one? *Bad genes. Where are you coming up with the whole "they can't select the best traits of their host" bs? It has been shown time and time again when I xenomorph impregnates a human it comes out the same way every time. Also I have not seen any differences in intelligence from different aliens of the same birth species. Other than "net head" and queens all the other xenomorphs haven't been shown to be any dumber than the alien brother next to it. In the movies we even have a variety of intelligent hosts, from scientists, to colonists, to soldiers and none of the offspring from those hosts seem different from one another.
I agree, I really get annoyed when people say that Xenomorphs are 'Stupid' in terms of mentally. Yes they aren't creating spaceships or anything but they are extremely cunning. Though you did forget to add that in Aliens the Xeno's also cut the power before their last attack, which shows they knew that cutting the power would help them. It also shows how the marines were still under estimating them as Hudson flipped out going "How could they cut the power, they're animals man!" The aliens charging the turrets makes sense, due to the numbers they had. Mostly because when they had taken the Colonists they hadn't had to deal with Turrets before so they were something new that the Xenomorphs hadn't encountered before and had to figure out. So they eventually retreated and found another way to bypass the turrets since they didn't know that they were actually pretty much out of ammunition.
After this please do best mech based armies in sci-fi. My suggestion is the UN Spacey from SDF Macross( not the RDF from Robotech). Also for this list the Vajira from Macross Frontier.
They are super resistant to energy weapons. We see them survive the 40 megaton nuke in Aliens via ALIENS:Colonial Marines. During the Earth War, they survived multiple nukings including a 100 megaton fission bomb. Aliens Labyrinth shows they are immune to practically every disease and chemical weapon. In Aliens omnibus 6, they showed they adapted to chemical weapons fast.
@@Slycarlo Did you ever read the Earth Wars novels or see the Aliens Colonial Marines game? Aliens are constantly depicted surviving Nukes, as a whole, theirs even a comic where they put a nuke on a pig and make it walk into the middle of a hive, and lots of the aliens survived the explosion.
The only possible explanation i can tell is that they must been underground when the nukes detonated, cause it’s really mind boggling even for a scifi perspective to survive a nuke
They grown very fast, they can hibernate for centuries, they can survive eating mummified remains and have long life cycles. Those are great advantages.
Xenomorphine Alien Covenant was the first movie to show a xeno feeding upon a human body. The novels are full of mentions of this happen. Some bodies are used to host new xenos, others are eated at the hive. Bodies used to host new xenos are used as food by the new creature. The novels are much more rich in details about the xenos habits.
Regarding the intelligence, they are far above primates and are capable of abstract thinking. Cases in point, abandoning one failed tactic to pursue a better one, understanding the importance of electricity to their prey. Regarding vulnerability to heat, they are far less vulnerable to it than most species. What they have is an aversion to fire, which is not a vulnerability, quite the opposite. "Devolving" is not a thing.
As an Australian I have to say that kangaroos are amazing creatures, I am proud of them as our international icon... That said they are indeed delicious
Fun fact, we Australians farm kangaroos for their hide as it makes for excellent motorcycle jackets. Their meat is also stringy tasting and goes great in pies.
A massive advantage of the xenomorphs is their variety. Need to get in through tiny places? Get the chargers (or sprinters, or runners, or whatever the super fast dog ones are called). Need a living wall? Get the praetorians. They are extremely versatile.
American Ben, you *should* be proud of that last line, because it was one of the greatest lines ever spoken. Centuries from now teachers will teach this line in school. "What's an SJW?" the kids will say. The teachers will reply: "Its what literally everyone was in the early 21st Century. You see, back then before Liberal and Conservative leaders across the world came together to form our Worldwide oppressive mega-corporation, people had opinions. Everybody thought that their opinion was right and everybody else's opinion was wrong and were therefore either a racist or a cuck, depending on what side of the fence they sat on. It was a terrible time of chaos. Luckily opinions were banned in the year 2084 and there has been world harmony ever since." But anyway I digress. Great line.
"You still have no idea what you're dealing with here, do you? A perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility... I admire its purity. It's a survivor. Unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality... Last word? I can't lie to you about your chances, but... You have my sympathies."
more advantages: 1 - they can enter a state of hibernation and survive for thousands of years. 2 - they don't need food once they are grown up, they take very little from their prey's brain and never eat the corpses. 3 - they can survive in the vacuum of space or frozen for thousands of years. 4 - they have a good sense of "smell", and can sense the scent of humans and animals. 5 - they have other senses and can feel when a ship has changed course when humans can't. more flaws: 1 - they emit detectable electromagnetic waves that can be used to track them in the dark (avp2). 2 - apparently they need a queen to reproduce, a drone may or may not be able to turn into a queen (in some cases they turn into praethorians), queens come from special chestbursters and special facehugers from special eggs. 3 - they need other creatures like humans to reproduce. 4 - they need to be told to attack synths, or defend themselves from them. androids and machines are not detected by xenomorphs and in many cases they can't even track their scent.
The reason the M41A Pulse Rifle being effective against Xenomorphs, is because the bullets used are explosive tipped or armor piercing. You can see the Xenomorphs exploding after getting hit.
M41A pulse rifles easily tear through xenos because they fire a 10×24mm caseless round. I remember a line in Aliens saying they're explosive tip armor piercing too, so of course they'd be susceptible to that.
I'm going to have to contest the point about Xenomorphs being categorically vulnerable to firearms. The reason the Pulse Rifle and Smart Gun were so devastating against them, is because of the ammunition they were using. Both weapons fire armor piercing rounds that explode inside the target, specifically for defeating enemies with hard-shell body armor like that used by the Colonial Marines themselves, which is what made them so ideal for killing the Xenomorphs. Against more conventional ammunition, the Xenomorph's exoskeleton is pretty damned effective armor. See the scene with Vasquez in the air vent, unloading a 45.caliber M-1911 handgun into a xenomorph at pointblank range and having to jam the barrel right to the side of its head and still shoot it three or four times to get through and even that didn't put it down instantly.
As it relates to their acidic blood, it occurs to me that nobody ever thought to exploit that nature by introducing a base into their bloodstream. Many "base" materials could easily be used to craft a sort of specialized ammunition to use against the Xenomorphs. Moreover many "base" materials can be vaporized and dispersed in the air. I'd imagine a creature with acidic blood breathing in large quantities of a base would have some pretty nasty results.
I have to congratulate you on simultaneously making the most contextually appropriate rape joke and Alien joke that I've ever heard. Normally not a big fan of rape jokes but I'm a fan of the alien fanchise and well executed jokes who's punchline involves the murder of rapacious xeno's.
The M41a1 uses 10mm, which is pretty much the .357's chubby brother. Not just that, the US Colonial Marines use armor piercing rounds. Exo-skeleton be damned.
0:35 : I don't know it you could call it 'PTSD", but I have literally had at least one nightmare about the Alien each year since I saw that movie as a kid (I thought it was going to be like "Star Wars".....Goddammit, Starlog Magazine!!!! ^_^). 3:54 : LOL ^_^ (actually had to go back and make sure I heard that correctly)
very vulnerable to heat? Remember the xenomorph in Alien 3 who survived pretty long submerged in molten metal and was even capable of swimming up to the surface. Only the sheer temperature drop by the fire extinguisher killed it
I feel like a TON was skipped over in the Bad Genes bit. The scenes shown of the abomination for a 'special xeno' were incredibly misleading, I think. Maybe it's just bad timing, maybe you forgot a few key details: It depends which evolutionary canon you're going with. The original movie Hive was intended to be a classic ant/wasp nest hybrid with only a drone cast ruled over by a queen. The movies which followed have, with little deviation, followed this formula. 1+1= Perfect clone of a Drone (because it's regarded as a 'near perfect species') which can become a queen as needed. The comics opened up to a variety of combat castes capable of morphing from the drone over time as it gradually molts the shell. (they're really cool since their hoard's strength is determined by the number, size and strength of local fauna before a world has been left barren with nothing but xenos in hibernation after war) We've been reliably shown in either timeline/canon that each species has a single outcome when infected by huggers. Exceptions exist in captive lab settings but are dismissed thanks to the fact scientists don't actually study the things worth a damn and really more interested in creating their own abominations they can control from birth. (Proto-Davids.) Speaking of abominations. Special cases or 'abominations' are results of unnatural or forced change of an individual's genes. Obviously this is going to have unpredictable outcomes when the parasite is left to work with unnatural or unstable genes which couldn't reproduce a normal human kid if they tried. Examples. Hybrid Ripley: For starters she's a clone spliced with a 'queen embryo' into a hybrid ... whatever that discontinuity is supposed to mean (which never bears its ugly head again)... the end result is basically what you get with roughly 1/4 xeno inbreeding. A rare phenomenon, thank Weyland. Predators: They apparently cherry pick their favorite features from species around the galaxy to become ultra hammy apex space predators. Forgive me, but I have to relate them to Astartes. Each Chapter would yield a different parasitic outcome due to genetic differences, just like predator tribes or what-have-you. Of course, there needs to be a hierarchy to maintain a balance within their society. Or at least a bigger badder predator, hopped up on even more mutations. You know where this is going. Alternate/Opposing hive minds: Someone manages to capture and culture a xeno hive. These xenos are manipulated on a genetic, chemical and psychic level in order to reduce hostility towards humans (albeit more like the semblance of a treaty) and force opposition against feral xeno hives. Interestingly, the movie canon hasn't touched the topic of hive warring at all. Would the assimilate each other? Would they war due to differences and differing queens? Do the queens practice political warfare in order to deal with other species? Do they all rally under the fabled Queen Mother? There's a loooooot of room for expansion into such titillating directions. Unfortunately the franchise is a joke at this point, thus why it's so easy to overlook all the interesting details which sprung forth these monstrosities. ...I don't know what the writers are huffing these days.
Wait until it comes in full circle and he realizes he was an alien in disguise all along. Why do you think proper paranoia is missing from his anti-xeno guidebook?
Hey, maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events, but the Xenomorph DNA isn't doing anything random with host traits. Their basic blueprints isn't "DNA" at all, but rather a radically advanced artificial intelligence. It's also "fiendishly creative". This means you cannot predict exactly what form or abilities it will have. It also means it isn't going to just "dumb down" or "devolve" from successively dumber hosts, or eventually take on too much host DNA or whatever. The Xeno AI blueprint basically can immitates portions of the host phenotype, but there isn't a two way cross happening. The host DNA doesn't become part of the Xenomorph "genetics" anymore than your finger is part of a donut when your finger is poked through a donut hole.
the xenomorph is actually sentient, in scenes from the original script of alien which wasn't filmed it's hinted that ash had been speaking with the alien, it's al also seen by the alien's tactics in aliens and alien resurrection other things to note, while a solid hit from a 10mm explosive round to the chest or head is effective in killing them, again scenes from the original script of alien that wasn't filmed shows the alien capable of regrowing limbs lost due to injury (shortly after dallas's death where parker goes to refuel the flame throwers he bumps into the alien in the corridor near the airlock and calls for ripley and lambert to open the lock inner door, when the alien enters he tells them to close the door only for the alien to jump back into the corridor trapping a limb in the door as the outer door is blown)
No, without Hosts the hive eventually dies off but the Queen leaves behind tons of eggs that can basically hibernate for extremely long periods of time waiting for new prey to chance upon them and begin the cycle again.
re. not generating heat - other videos (Alien Theory) suggest they do have body heat, but it's identical to the heat in their nests - so they are IR invisible inside a nest. I guess another explanation for no body heat is that they are totally biomechanic.
It's still never explained how they pretty much balloon in size from their chest buster phase. Even the info graphic show couldn't find anything explaining it. Maybe their small form is able to tightly compact the nutrients before the monstrous growth happens off screen in some ventilation shaft.
They consume alot of energy early on, at least in some appearances. In the novelization of the original Alien film they actually catch the small Alien raiding the mess hall and eating the food there before its fully matured. It still grows super fast but the novel did show that it consumed a lot of calories to help it grow. Other appearances like the AvP films just kind of....completely break that concept by having them go from chestburster to adult drone in like 10 minutes. Where upon originally it still took at least around a day.
To be fair, those pulse rifles would be effective against most alien races. I'd say they're bullet proof to pistols & most pistol calibre rounds. If you haven't got any sort of rifle, best to run away.
Kangaroos outnumber Australians two to one. If they call in _the emus to lead_ the charge it could be a problem. This is even before any of the venomous critters get involved.
It's not possible because the Xenomorph is nearly completely inorganic if not inorganic, and has no calcium in its biology. It's more likely to turn flood into Xenomorphs because of the mutagenic fluids in its body than the other way round.
First of all they need a host to carry their babies which is a big flaw I would say, because it makes them dependent on another living being to multiply themselves.
They don't need hosts, besides the mutagenic fluids, like the black goo, being in them, which they can use to convert other creatures into Xenomorphs, we even see a Ranger looking Xenomorph spewing mutagenic fluids on Marines in one of the newest stories, they also can procreate with each other, or at the least, Queen Mothers can make Aliens without hosts as seen in the Earth Wars, thr males can also impregnate woman with hybrid Xenomorphs as seen in Labyrinth.
Always tought the acidity of xenomorph blood was over the top, potent enough to eat trough skin or a few milimeters of steel would be enough but being able to eat trough several ship decks is just exessive to me even from just a narritive perspective.
They use multiple different kinds of Acid. The Ranger alone uses mutagenic acids and hydrochloric acids to attack humans at long ranges. One variant is shown spewing mutagenic fluids on Marines, turning them into Xenomorphs.
Could be worse *nintendo laughs as they were responsible for creating not one, but two ruthless xenomorph expies: because a jellyfish/dinosaur/ornithsapien hybrid was enough, they created a dragon based off it*

Got a small scar near my eye to remind me of that when some other kids tried to pat a Joey.
I'm extinction it's shown the hive webbing collects info
I did have *Alien PTSD* once, after a bike accident and surgery I woke up a few days later with a *_oxygen mask on_* and a feeling like acid on my leg.
And a lot of Morphine in my system.
I thought I had a *_face hugger_* on me.
A while later after I tried to go for a _stroll_ while wired to the bed they *switched me to Pethadine.*
The pulse rifle does so we'll because it's rounds are explosive tipped
Has this guy even watched the movies he shows clips of? Aliens can be incredibly intelligent or incredibly dumb. It seems that in large numbers they rely on those numbers instead of smarts but they ARE smart. Some examples:
*All movies the aliens often wait for their prey to be alone, weak, or distracted before attacking
*In the first movie the xenomorph just so happens to hide in Ripley's escape shuttle? It could be coincidence or that alien could have realized the ship was in danger and to hide out there, but granted that's speculation and it could have been dumb luck
*In the 2nd movie the queen tells her warriors to stand down when Ripley had her flamethrower pointed to her eggs.
So all in all they are much smarter than you think, their intelligence goes way further than "only knows how to hunt"
To poke some holes through his other "flaws" here we go:
* weakness to firearms....what? You just said their armor is tough enough to withstand small caliber rounds...that's not weak, thats damn impressive, when's the last time you got shot by a pistol and the bullet bounced off you? yeah bigger caliber guns can Peirce their armor but the attacker as we have seen time and time again is also at risk of being hurt from the acid blood so still not seeing that as a downside
*Vulnerable to fire...uh what isn't? Humans with all our tech still don't have suits that can withstand flamethrower for long periods of time, and those suits are expensive and impractical, hell even predators don't want to be on fire as it does hurt them
*no ships.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I was just too lazy to type it all out.
It also shows how the marines were still under estimating them as Hudson flipped out going "How could they cut the power, they're animals man!"
The aliens charging the turrets makes sense, due to the numbers they had.
I enjoy the occasional kangaroo steak i'm doing my part

They are super resistant to energy weapons. We see them survive the 40 megaton nuke in Aliens via ALIENS:Colonial Marines. During the Earth War, they survived multiple nukings including a 100 megaton fission bomb.
Aliens Labyrinth shows they are immune to practically every disease and chemical weapon. In Aliens omnibus 6, they showed they adapted to chemical weapons fast.
lancer737 bullshit
@@Slycarlo Did you ever read the Earth Wars novels or see the Aliens Colonial Marines game? Aliens are constantly depicted surviving Nukes, as a whole, theirs even a comic where they put a nuke on a pig and make it walk into the middle of a hive, and lots of the aliens survived the explosion.
The only possible explanation i can tell is that they must been underground when the nukes detonated, cause it’s really mind boggling even for a scifi perspective to survive a nuke
Sly Carl they can survive the radiation is what he means not a direct explosion bro
Nobody in their right mind accepts 'Colonial Marines' as canonical - or the EU comics.
I have three suggestions: Irkens from Invader Zim, Furons from Destroy All Humans, and the Na'vi from Avatar
They grown very fast, they can hibernate for centuries, they can survive eating mummified remains and have long life cycles. Those are great advantages.
Their growing rate is inconsistent between films. It takes however quickly the plot needs them to hatch and grow.
None of the films ever proved they eat.
@@Xenomorphine I'm pretty sure there's a brief scene in Alien 3 that shows the dog alien eating a corpse.
Notification squad reporting
Regarding the intelligence, they are far above primates and are capable of abstract thinking. Cases in point, abandoning one failed tactic to pursue a better one, understanding the importance of electricity to their prey.
Regarding vulnerability to heat, they are far less vulnerable to it than most species. What they have is an aversion to fire, which is not a vulnerability, quite the opposite.
"Devolving" is not a thing.
Every time Generation Films gains a subscriber, a dolphin is turned into biofuel by a swarm of self replicating killer robots.
As an Australian I have to say that kangaroos are amazing creatures, I am proud of them as our international icon... That said they are indeed delicious
As an American I have heard Emus are worse...
I heard that. "But they do get pulled over all the time." That was brilliant
Fun fact, we Australians farm kangaroos for their hide as it makes for excellent motorcycle jackets. Their meat is also stringy tasting and goes great in pies.
"They get pulled over all the time",thats a knee slapper
A massive advantage of the xenomorphs is their variety. Need to get in through tiny places? Get the chargers (or sprinters, or runners, or whatever the super fast dog ones are called). Need a living wall? Get the praetorians. They are extremely versatile.
The Xenomorphs are just another obstacle in the glorious path of humanity.
The “ they get pulled over all the time” line got me dying
Luckily opinions were banned in the year 2084 and there has been world harmony ever since."
But anyway I digress. Great line.
Oh my gosh, the triggered joke was freaking hilarious!
When in doubt, kill it with fire (except when they're already on fire).
Thanks for your Service American Ben. lol

Last word? I can't lie to you about your chances, but... You have my sympathies."
more advantages:
1 - they can enter a state of hibernation and survive for thousands of years.
2 - they don't need food once they are grown up, they take very little from their prey's brain and never eat the corpses.
3 - they can survive in the vacuum of space or frozen for thousands of years.
4 - they have a good sense of "smell", and can sense the scent of humans and animals.
5 - they have other senses and can feel when a ship has changed course when humans can't.
more flaws:
1 - they emit detectable electromagnetic waves that can be used to track them in the dark (avp2).
@coldlizard 2 they can fly if they infect flying animals

The reason the M41A Pulse Rifle being effective against Xenomorphs, is because the bullets used are explosive tipped or armor piercing. You can see the Xenomorphs exploding after getting hit.
As a boomerang chucker, I support your stance on devouring the tasty flesh of kangaroos

James Cameron was the guy who made the perfect organisms into insects that can just be shot or easy targets for the sequel to Alien

It would depend on the amunition bieng used. Are you using armour piercing or normal?
You guys really need to do the Harvesters from the Independence Day films in this series.

Biggest weakness of the Xenormorph: a facemask.

American Ben is Big Ben and British Ben is just...Ben.
Small arms pistol rounds can bounce off their armor, always go with something harder hitting than 9mm ammo.
"Special species? they infested a dog..... a dog. They got a spot as man's best friend! Dat is smart as far as im concerned.
This makes defeating a xenomorph lane departure alert
I have to congratulate you on simultaneously making the most contextually appropriate rape joke and Alien joke that I've ever heard. Normally not a big fan of rape jokes but I'm a fan of the alien fanchise and well executed jokes who's punchline involves the murder of rapacious xeno's.

The M41a1 uses 10mm, which is pretty much the .357's chubby brother. Not just that, the US Colonial Marines use armor piercing rounds. Exo-skeleton be damned.

hmmm Add kangaroo to kill list....
very vulnerable to heat? Remember the xenomorph in Alien 3 who survived pretty long submerged in molten metal and was even capable of swimming up to the surface. Only the sheer temperature drop by the fire extinguisher killed it
Imagine a Space Marine parasited by a xenomorph. Imagine the monstrosity that would come out of him. _Aggressively pressing the Exterminatus button_
I don't remember if it was stated if the comics were considered, but queens are capable of abstract thinking, like the concept of temporary alliances.
What if humanity could train xenomorphs? (I know it would be practically impossible, but imagine an army of them)
It's been tried in the comics. It does not go well.
Despite lack of spaceships, I still rank the Xenomorphs a "4" out of 5 . They're that dangerous as the video proves.
(they're really cool since their hoard's strength is determined by the number, size and strength of local fauna before a world has been left barren with nothing but xenos in hibernation after war)
We've been reliably shown in either timeline/canon that each species has a single outcome when infected by huggers. Exceptions exist in captive lab settings but are dismissed thanks to the fact scientists don't actually study the things worth a damn and really more interested in creating their own abominations they can control from birth. (Proto-Davids.)
Speaking of abominations.
I feel like you could easily use their swarming behavior to set explosive traps everywhere. Use their fear of fire to herd them.
Another advantage of Aliens:
host does not remember being infested (impregnated) and returns to his own species, bringing the Alien with him
"No, I'm not proud of that line"
I am
“Their black exoskeleton helps them in the dark but they do get pulled over all the time” bruh😂
First Dolphins, now Kangaroo's, what's next, also did I miss any other animals that these guys consider, bad.
The host DNA doesn't become part of the Xenomorph "genetics" anymore than your finger is part of a donut when your finger is poked through a donut hole.
the xenomorph is actually sentient, in scenes from the original script of alien which wasn't filmed it's hinted that ash had been speaking with the alien, it's al also seen by the alien's tactics in aliens and alien resurrection
other things to note, while a solid hit from a 10mm explosive round to the chest or head is effective in killing them, again scenes from the original script of alien that wasn't filmed shows the alien capable of regrowing limbs lost due to injury (shortly after dallas's death where parker goes to refuel the flame throwers he bumps into the alien in the corridor near the airlock and calls for ripley and lambert to open the lock inner door, when the alien enters he tells them to close the door only for the alien to jump back into the corridor trapping a limb in the door as the outer door is blown)
You may not be very proud of that line...but I sure am.
Are xenomorths silicone based lifeforms rather than carbon based since they produce a layer of polarised silicone
I believe I have heard that they are silicon based. Just forgot which movie said it.
What happens when the hosts run out? Do the old xenomorphs become hosts?
Tazkar Yeah that's it! The films! They need to go fast so that make it go fast!

I was suprised they didn't list the fact that you can only get one xeno per person but one person could wipe out a dozen of them

1:07 thats a T pose, but what you said works too
What if the flood infected a xenomorph
The acidic blood and silicone based biology makes them immune to Flood spores.
It's not possible because the Xenomorph is nearly completely inorganic if not inorganic, and has no calcium in its biology. It's more likely to turn flood into Xenomorphs because of the mutagenic fluids in its body than the other way round.
I don't see how the Flood could infect a species with such hostile biochemistry. Any infectious vector would be destroyed before it could do anything.
You's should put THE THING on this list.
Well Neat. But can anyone explain how if 10 people are implanted, you get 100 Xenomorphs?
Or 100 implants equal 1,000?
