Followed instructions to the letter but cannot get vacuum pressure to return; have a steady, very hard flow of water through relief valve. What did I do wrong placing back in service?
@@s.j.8509 Hello, I believe if this was an assembly that a repair was done to, that the springs were put back into the incorrect positions on the first and second checks. The springs look similar in size but have different weights. The spring with the heavier weight has to go into the #1 check (the check pointing up) as it has to bias the incoming pressure closed. If these are reversed that weaker check will not be strong enough to hold the incoming pressure back and cause a full dump out of the relief valve.

No matter what I can’t turn the #1 cover … any tips to loosen it? Mine is 8 years old
