- TURKS AND CAICOS: Today we discuss the things to know about visiting Turks and Caicos Islands. This small island nation of less than 100,000 people is made up of 40 islands with just about 8 being inhabited. That means there is a lot of virgin beach in Turks and Caicos. I spent my time on the main island of Providenciales but some of you on cruise ships will go to Grand Turk. This is a full Turks and Caicos travel guide.

Coral garden was where I was going to stay but alas the restrictions on covid had me looking for a.testing center in the US (and not finding the right test) had me cancel the trip..I will eventually get there!

I'm more into learning about what life is like for locals living in a place like this. I doubt they go clubbing and drink cocktails everyday.
What do they do in their spare time? What is work life like? Any funny stories of dealing with clueless tourists? What is it like to go grocery shopping? Are there any geeks and nerds living there who enjoy gaming and stuff like that? Are there regular clothing and shoe stores? (Not the overly expensive kind for tourists, but the kind of clothing you'd buy at Walmart). Or do they have to order them online and wait for them to arrive by boat or plane? So many other questions. I just can't find a video that answers stuff like this in small tropical tourist places.

How does Providenciales work for older folks seeking a quiet relaxing location? Staying on the beach and going out on boat trips? Does the island avoid the crowds and even the seaweed?
What are your recommendations for a boutique hotel at Grace Bay near restaurants and stores? Thereby minimizing the expensive taxis? Do retired expats get through the high humidity in the summer by being confined to air conditioning most of the time?
My wife and I and our 4 kids will be there in a few weeks. My 17 year old daughter is allergic to seafood and nuts. Will we have a hard time getting food for her?
My plan is to bring snack food with us. Are there limits to the amount of food we can bring in suitcases?

Great video and information. Question?? I been hearing about these long arrival immigration lines during peak months. What are those months because We are heading to provo in early JULY and if July are in those high travel months so we can get the fast pass. Thnx
If either flight is delayed and arrives at the airport at same time. The problem is when they process to planes at once. I heard they were building an air conditioned tent to help with the immigration lines.
We are going in July as well and just going to purchase the fast track just in case. It’s like $152 for two

I herd in peak season and how many flights land upon your arrival it could be hrs before you exit the airport and that would definitely be a not so good start to our honeymoon. hi a few questions, i'm having trouble deciding between aruba(staying at eagle beach) and t&c(staying at grace bay) and i saw you've done a travel guide for both!
Which one would you recommend for:
1. clear, calm beaches that aren't too crowded. been to cancun and the beaches were kind of choppy
2. easily accessible, not wanting to rent a car, but mainly looking to stay at the beach, eat food and do a day of excursions. open to taking a taxi if it's easily accessible, but don't think it'll be worth it if i mainly just want to relax on the beach and eat food.

Better beaches on T&C but more to do on Aruba. T&C more for relaxing
we ve been to aruba stayed at the holiday inn gorgeous beach nice hotel u can take the bus into town cheap its safe and soooo gorgeous but not cheap never was cheap aruba is the windy island but would live there if i could u can take a jeep tour and see the whole island in a day

Aruba gets more wind in my opinion. I did not experience much wind on cayman

@@IslandHopperTV Ah, that was Beaches! Thank you. Have heard so many mixed reviews, we are booking elsewhere. Also, the only rooms left for our dates are over 20K for the week.

The cases of covid are always high and the united states is always asking to avoid traveling to turks and caicos, are the cases really high? Do you feel insecure?

I would say very slim chance.
You should worry about your flights getting cancelled at last minute because their airport always shuts down and closed for a day. Unfortunately that happened to us today and closed the whole day so our airline cancelled the whole trip
Hurricane season is always around October to April.
I wouldn’t be going there - go to Southeast Asia better. Not much different from Florida. Currently several Americans got caught with bullets / guns that were accidentally placed in their luggages. I am sure there will be less tourists attraction after these several incidents.

What’s the COVID requirements to enter TCI now
Negative test, fully vaccinated and health insurance which cover hotel fee if you get Covid while staying in the island. It’s quite crazy to get permits for entry but sooo worth it.

A lot of places in the world have beautiful beaches... One of the nicest beaches in the entire world is siesta Beach and by Sarasota Florida... Why go to an island that treats people who make a mistake like they're in a communist country. I would never go to that area ...why would you want to worry about if you make a mistake they'll throw you in their jail for years and years. People need to wake up and pay attention to what they're doing before traveling outside of the US. Do your homework on the legalities... find out what's happened to other people that have made mistakes. Don't be a sucker.
