Everyone, including coaches, can still type in tournament mode. In my experience, coaches can type in all-chat to call for tech pauses on their end or something like that but it's reserved usually only for emergencies.
I watched this comeback half-wasted at 6:00 AM on a Sunday. We were partying on a Saturday night at my friend's. Tho I kept myself sober to watch the match which started 2:00 AM in our time. I had a bottle of brandy during the first 2 maps, so when FNC went 2-0, I already let myself fall asleep on the couch. After a while, I've been woken up by the sound of the crowd and casters as Loud goes 9-3 on Icebox. I was astounded that it went to Map 5 and accepted that FNC was about to lose. My head aches and fell asleep for a couple minutes but the casters are still going at it. So I wondered what was happening... I opened my eyes to an 11-6 score and Loud's eco were crashing! I immediately stood up and got a cup of coffee while witnessing history.
Funny that it was wardell who posted the infamous tweet now too. Like the curse was handed off to him or something. Now hes broke from a NFT/crypto scam, washed from any relative teams and scandaled up for stream sniping radiant/immortal lobbies.
I'm surprised that the team members weren't permabanned from ever playing Valorant as well... I thought that Riot would safely assume they were all in cahoots with the coach and be punished accordingly
Yeah why is the coach the only one getting the stick here? Shouldn't the players of the team be investigated? If he sent one message on the all-chat who knows wtf they were talking outside of that.
They probably investigated it and found there were no messages in team chat outside timeouts. That was probably what they had tech paused for. This was my first thought also
The desperation of Valorant to bring in scum to play in PL will be its downfall.
