I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one lyxbag Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

A bad imitation which does not respect the style of chanel is a stupid purchase but a super fake which respect every detail except the ones nobody is going to notice , is a terrific purchase especially if it didn't cost you 1/100 of the real deal.
Fake doesn't necessarily mean , lack of quality , it only means made by a different person . And if you knew how terrible the quality is in France this days in the little atelier , you might think twice before spending 4000 dollars on a bag .

If you submitted an essay at university and I submitted the exact one but changed two words, it's called plagiarism... a copy is a copy, it's better for someone to buy a quilted Chanel inspired bag, then be fooled into buying a complete replica. Some people don't even know they're buying a fake and for them it's unfair. People who make fakes to mislead others are in no way respecting the original design. If one cannot afford to spend that kind of money, why not buy an unbranded well made inspired bag that pays the workers good money to produce it? At the end of the day, whether it's fake or not the fashion house wins as the branding is still advertised fake or real!

Some original vintage chanel bags have been to a bag restorer . The stitching might be different as they were trying to restore the bag.

I am confused. I have been looking at hundreds of different Chanel bags, mostly used. This particular bag I was interested in is Chanel Portobello. All Portobello bags that I found have stitching on their straps like the fake one in the video. Additionally, they all have 3 little stripes on a hardware logo, but all made in Italy. Do the "rules" mentioned in this video apply only to a certain time frame? Because there is no way that all Portobello bags on the internet are fake even tho there aren't a lot of them available to be fair.
Hello, thanks so much for your time. However, i am asking this to you as i can't find any information on it- but information about the font of the Chanel gold stamp in the bag is definitely missing. I have found many inconstancies with the fonts : some more thin and with rounded corners, and some that look like the actual Chanel logo of today- sharp and large letters. You have mentioned in the video, the only bag that Chanel do machine stitch down the interlacing is with vintage jumbo flaps, how about modern jumbo flaps (those selling in store now)? If I see machine stitch on the interlace of styles other than jumbo flaps, I Can be sure that it is a fake bag, right? Correct me if I am wrong, thank you!

Hi, you mentioned that a authentic Chanel chain stitching should not be machine stitch and it should be stitched inside not along the outside. I have recently purchased a vintage patent leather camellia flower mini which the chain stitching is on the outside. Would this rule applies as well, how do you authentic non classic seasonal Chanel bag ?

Hi. I do have one question: you mentioned that the original bags don’t have Maschine stitching on the leather chain…. Is this only the case by the vintage bags ? I bought a chanel classic flap bag (caviar leather) in 2019 in a chanel boutique shop in Germany and the bag has Maschine stitching on the leather chain..

The *rrcopys* bags are gorgeous in their size, weight and color. Bought pink, cream and blue. I think I might go back and order the light lilac, light blue and red. I own some high priced designer handbags, but I like these even more!
Yes the color of the LYXBAG is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

I have a Maxi Patent...would the straps be machine sewn for those as well and it was produced in 2013, or 14 so the made in is right under the the /chanel hot stamping th same side as the interior double flap... I get not wanting to pay stupid amounts of money for a bag, but fakes are NOT a good alternative. There's no regulation of how/where they're made and who makes them (ie. Child labour, poor working condition etc) Just get dupes of similar styles instead of fakes, it's unethical on so many levels
Hmm I think it's good for people who want a taste of designer that can't afford the designer prices. LV, Gucci etc aren't gonna be short of a penny & it's not like they're missing out in the way that it's snatching custom as the people buying those products if taken away aren't necessarily gonna go buy the designer ones. I'm actually going to go have a look at that *esluxs* now myself.

Hi Winnie! I'm looking around the market for a vintage chanel bag and have been always going back to your previous chanel authentication video as reference. I finally found my HG bag however the authenticity card is missing. Serial number inside still intact and legible which dates back to 1996-1997. From your professional opinion, would an authenticity card accompanying the bag make it a better resale value if I ever plan to resale it in the future? Or is it just a matter of preference? I have one lyxbag bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
Also the font on the box is a bit bolder than the authentic box.
I buy only from boutiques, and my purchases always come from the heart of house.

Hi Winnie, I just bought a vintage chanel bag from eBay website, it's a classic looking but the shape is more square. After I got the bag(this bag come with a box and had 3 different kind of stickers on it), I saw a weird thing.I asked seller, they can't explain about the issue. I checked your video over and over and did not got the answer,too.So I think I need your help and please give me your pofissional information.The issue is "The serial number is as the same as the sticker number which was sticked on the box."Seller told me, it's impossible, but what I got from the seller, these 2 number is the same number.I can't understand also.Have you ever seen or experience with this ?Thank you so much!Anita

She was taking about the actual stitches. When each stitch is longer, the thread becomes raised and "puffed" in a line of hills down the leather instead of being straighter.
I bought one and left it in a cab after that I’m not spending on another I’m sorry. No one’s spending 8000 for a bag the prices are insane. It’s not unfortunate fakes exist some people like the style but could never afford a bag. And if it’s hard to tell the difference honestly was it even worth the inflated price?

Nina Jen some people say the hallmark stands for made in france, some say it's because it's gold plated. I suggest getting it authenticated. fashionphile do offer life time authentic. when in doubt, I wouldn't purchase it.

Hello, I have a question I just bought a super vintage handbag maybe about 30 years ago, and on the back of the CC hardware is says Paris first and then Chanel, I've seen that in a few super old bags but is that something that happened with vintage chanel bags or is my bag fake? I'm very worried as I paid a lot.

Maria, I think you should check because it happen to my sister she bought LV bag at the boutique in Neiman Marcus. After couple months later the stitch is coming off as well as wear and tear. We happen to shop that day just drop by to check the bag and told them the bag and show it to them. First they said this bag is not right and I told them we bought it here. He brought the bag inside and bring out the new one. FYI
