Model town cooperative housing society Lahore | 101 years history of Model town.
Model Town Cooperative Housing Society was conceived by Mr. Dewan Khem Chand of Lahore in 1921 who dreamt of developing a housing society that was essentially a Garden Town consisting of vast houses having their own fruit orchards. To realize this dream, a design contest was held in which 4 designs were short-listed. The design selection committee admired all the four designs and it was decided to come up with a fifth design by converging all the four best designs.
Still, after the passage of 101 years, the society is the most premium address in Lahore. Its inhabitants have always been the cream of society consisting of Retired / Serving Judges, Up Market Traders, Businessmen, Sports Personalities, Politicians and Intellectuals. Model Town Cooperative Housing Society consists of 10 residential blocks, however, lateron, LDA developed the society and administration of blocks from M onwards was handed over to LDA in lieu of Development works.

2 ۔یہ وہ سوسائٹی یا گھر جو دیکھا رہے ہوتے ہیں وہ کس کے انڈر ہے مطلب کیا وہاں رجسٹری ۔انتقال وغیرہ کیسے ہوتی ہے۔۔
3 یہ کہ آپ نے ہر ویڈیو میں تقریبا 20 سے 30 لاکھ لکھا ہوتا ہے سکرین پے۔اب ہر جگہ کا ایک ہی جیسا ریٹ نہیں سکتا ۔۔۔یا پھر مجھے سمجھ نہیں آرہی کہ کیوں لکھا ہوتا ہے۔۔۔
اور اگر کبھی میں لاہور آیا تو آپ سے ضرور ملنا چاہوں گا ۔۔۔

جہاں تک ریٹ کا تعلق ہے اس کا صرف اندازہ ہی بتایا جا سکتا ہے کیونکہ ری سیل والے پلاٹ یا مکان کی قیمت مالکان کی ڈیمانڈ پر منحصر ہوتی ہے اوراسی وجہ سے ایک ہی علاقہ میں مختلف ریٹ ہوتے ہیں۔

You can easily see a square shaped area with a circle in the center in google earth. It is easity identifiable by its shape. The only housing society to be very precisely symmetrically designed. Also Dr. Israr Ahmed residence is in Model Town.

Yes. The design is still the masterpiece and while mentioning the notables residing / have resided in this gem of housing scheme, I was overwhelmed by great names; I still couldn't mention many of the notables. I forgot to mention Dr Israr sb and many others..

Initially there were 6 kanal plots and on crossings they were 8 Kanal houses in the housing scheme. I am lucky to be the resident of Model Town lahore.
