Kayla, I went to a huge church yard sale this weekend and walked up to the table of purses and snagged that Coach crossbody you carry and I KNEW it was a keeper ‘cause Kayla carries it!’ And I snagged it for $1.00! I even started calling it my Kayla Coach purse! 😂
A dollar??!!! Wow what a lucky find! Good for you!
@@trisharamsey5419 yes! They had a pool table covered with purses and they were all just $1.00 each! I picked up 10-15 total and I think 3 were Coach.
The Kayla Coach...perfect name!...👏
I want to know if it has a name? I love the shape and would love this bag.
I think it’s called the Willis bag.
"We live in Kentucky", happy to see happy people. Congrats on being happy
Love another great day at the auction with you two! Kayla, so proud that you’re becoming a bit more subtle & confident with your bidding! Maybe call the rental car company to see if they found the missing raccoon in your trunk? Or the Airbnb? Hope it turns up!! You & Matt were two of my favorite TH-camrs to watch before you joined up & now it’s even better watching you as a team!!
I’m partial to watching your videos but sometimes other husbands are so bossy to their wife I can’t listen 🎧
I love watching you guys do all your Thrifting, but I especially love the way you guys respect one another during the whole process
I watched both of you before you two met. Incredible watching you together. Life the only constant is change. 🎉
Never a dull video with you two. Ive heard other resellers talking on their video about you guys. They were saying yall were their favorite to watch too. Glad Matt calls Kentucky home now. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else. Great video and amazing finds!! Congrats!!
Auctions are like gambling and thrifting at the same time! So much fun and you have such a great eye!
They're so much fun!!! Thanks for watching
Wow, the nativity is everything! Talk about an amazing find. That turtle is absolutely gorgeous. Your trip to that auction really was worth it.😊❤
I absolutely adore that nativity you bought! I wouldn't even let go of it.... It is SO PRECIOUS!!!
Just a little side note. At 21:36 that small piece by Robert Shields. He is an absolutely amazing artist, now based in Arizona, who is also a world famous mime. Shields & Yarnell, his ex, were the ultimate in mimes. Thoroughly enjoyed your auction!
I remember Sheilds & Yarnell!! I had no idea he was an artist as well, so cool!
Y'all should bring a small magnifier to read tiny markings with. maybe one on your keychain?
I have an app on my phone that is a magnifying glass it works great @thehomeschoolingpicker
apple phones come with magnifier already on phone i use it all the time
Not sure why I am so obsessed with you and Matt's videos, but I am!! Been watching you for quite a long time, and Matt since you went those several days to all those yard sales somewhere (don't remember exactly). It was actually before you were together. He was with another guy. I am always excited when I see your videos post. Grab my coffee and am entertained and amazed by your knowledge and great finds. The Nativity is so beautifully crafted!
Peaches to Beaches sale is what you’re thinking of
Ditto!!!
Wow Kayla and Matt ! So glad you stayed for the sale a little longer to get the nativity set. What a score! CONGRATULATIONS
Love watching you both and learning more. Btw, one thing I know about is Fenton and I believe that carnival glass style/iridescent blue cat is a Fenton piece. 😊
You both are something else. Ty for your videos..
I appreciate how informative you are. God be with you both
Thanks for watching!
OMG you are almost to 150K!!!!! LET'S GO!!!!! Been here from the beginning and so proud of you!- Alissa
Matt, you have a good eye. Don’t second guess yourself because what you pick up is usually a good find.
Yes, I agree that Matt should not second guess himself so often.
Oh my goodness…that nativity set is absolutely amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Right?!
What amazing find on the nativity set. Love watching you two go to auctions.❤
The " one legged knocker" is the Lincoln Imp...found in Lincoln Cathedral Lincolnshire U.K
Kayla you’re so lucky, Matt is the whole package! Kind, tall, handsome, whole snack! Lol ❤
❤❤😂
Matt is very lucky too ❤😊
Ok Matt don’t get a swelled head because I believe you both met your sole mate! Lucky YOU 😁
Anything cats,flower.plants.i really like 👍🏼 😊😊
She is a catch. Smart, cute , beautiful outward and more important inward. And a loving mother.
Jon Stewart Anderson is a Polymer Clay sculpture artist. His animals are very pricey. The cats range from $200-$400 a piece.
Happy you went back to the auction. Always a fun day with you two.
Thanks for watching!
Brunks is the best. It is always packed every Sunday, and you are right... the family is great!
They need to move to KY!!
@@thehomeschoolingpicker I don’t know, I think the move might be for you guys to AZ, we have Brunks, Cheddars, Mr. Pickle Sandwiches, and an endless supply of estate sales. 😁
Kayla love watching your so interesting to listen to, I'm in the UK so I find the auction really great to watch plus your such a natural.
Matt also so helpful...
Yes the blue cat in the beginning is a Fenton the stamp is on it's side. Oh wow the raku vase at 4:40 was epic go to the glass vases! I saw a glimpse of a few and they looked REALLY nice.
Yeah it’s Kayla and Matt time! I love you two!
Thanks for watching!!
Love the longer videos.
I just enjoy watching so much! I used to have a Kentucky friend from Dawson Springs. You’re such a cutie pie. I’m only 50 miles from Paducah
That's the Lincoln imp door knocker!!! Great story about the imp and the Lincoln cathedral
Showing up early may be a pain. However, if you want to make notes and get the best stuff it's worth missing some sleep for one day. If I ever got to go to these I would sacrifice.
The videos with my favorite couple are a must see....love and blessings...
Great auction. I love the two of you shopping together.
Love the excitement you bring to your videos!!
FYI - The NEIL DUMAN Glas Black Cat is from 1980 and goes for approx. 400$
WOW what a great buy on the Nativity Set. So glad you stayed to get it.
Love Kayla’s auction cool persona!
I can see why you are loving auction . What great things you acquired . I heard Matt say we’re from Kentucky lol. Guess he’s there now more than Cali . Great Video see ya soon
I love seeing the thrill of the auction. The only time I ever did an auction, I ended up with a broken clock that had been presented as working. It's a lot more fun to watch your sucess!
Congratulations on the tray of small treasures! You deserve to keep something for yourself! :)
Love how you look over items of interest and determine if it’s worth purchasing for a profit. Matt is getting better at it too
I heard that "We're from Kentucky" Matt. Hoping that means that you relocated to be with sweet Kayla. Love watching you both find the best items! 🎉🎉❤❤
I love your videos. I am from the UK but learning so much from you. Amazing funds as always. ❤
27:22 minutes in... I purchased a smaller TRIO set of those characters for $5 and they have been listed for a year with no movement. I don't have them listed too high either - and I have "accept" offers on... so, from my experience, I would leave them behind. I realize this is way after the time this posts, just giving my experience. I sold yesterday a Hudson pewter piece for $45! Thank you both for your knowledge and explorations of new places and new experiences. I've had an eBay account since 1998 and sold on and off until 2019 where I went consistent full-on selling to downsize family member estates with the profits going toward his university education - he graduates in May 2024.
At the auction their were several people watching you looking at items. Especially the stuff that you listed for 1499. I would've like to see if that was one of the people that up bid you on that set. Maybe pick up something you don't want while taking a picture to see what comps are for what you do want???
Love wood carved items & Germany stuff! Score!!!
That “Devil” door knocker was a Lincoln Imp! I picked up a Lincoln Imp book end last year for $0.50! They are part of an ancient legend. Grab Imps when you can! Keep up the awesome work - love the videos up here in 🇨🇦
Always keep your bidding number close because, if you leave it somewhere, someone can bid with your number and stick you with the bill at the end of the day.
How is it not a good deal if you buy something for 1k and sell it for 2k? Besides fees still a no brainer
Kayla, you sure do know how to pick the cutest things, while Matt is fantastic at his likes. Love your shows
You guys are disciplined with the auctions. Not sure i could handle. ❤❤❤
It's not easy!! Haha
Exactly. I'd be a nervous wreck. 😏🤦😉
The nativity set is a Lotte Sievers-Hahn Hand Carved 24 Piece German Nativity Set W/Rare Animals And Stall
Thank God you guys bid on these! You two rocked the auction again! I love it sooo much watching you guys at this guy's auction. He likes having you guys keep coming back too! Sooo fun! ( : You two were on fire! Kayla you rock at the bidding too! ( : Sooo fun. Kayla, love your curly hair at the end back home in Kentucky! ( : Great job, Matt and Kayla! ( :
6:41 I love that particular set of Oneida flatware. I’m not sure why, but I have this issue with how the pattern feels on my thumb when I’m using them. And that particular pattern makes me happy? I don’t know how to describe it. It’s either a sensory thing, or an ocd thing. I’m not sure. I don’t tell very many people. But somehow when I moved, my set didn’t make it to the new house. I’m not sure how that’s even possible unless someone actually stole them. I miss my set. Maybe one day I can afford to replace them. ❤
Hi Kayla the door knocker you picked up at 10 mins looks like the Lincoln imp the original is in the Lincoln Cathedral in Great Britain. Loving both your shows
I'm a new eBay reseller and for me when i have something that's unusual and/or beautiful & it doesn't sell for much, like those little blown glass lamps, i just list them for what I personally think they should be worth and take offers. Then whoever comes close to my price gets to buy it. Sometimes whatever im selling sells for my higher price 🤷🏻♀️.
Again, im new at selling on eBay & I've learned you don't have to follow the crowd on prices. You can be the leader by listing something higher, at what it should be listed for in the first place, its actual value! For instance antique/vintage hand sewn quilts!! Some of those lady's didn't even have electricity for a lamp to see by to hand sew their quilts! My granny didn't with some of the quilts she made! So i refuse to take even $300-$500 for one of mine! It took them days/weeks to cut out & hand sew one quilt and they're absolutely stunning! Or a knitted/crocheted afghan!! I have so much respect for pioneer women that I won't except less than the work and time they put in to make a quilt or afghan!
I wish more resellers were not so tied to E Bay pricing. There is some wiggle room even for pieces not as popular but would sell to the right people.
Hi M&K, I'm so thankful that you're allowing Us to join you in your adventures. It's yet to fail me. It just continues to be better every time you put out a new video. Thank you both so much. Please remember TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAMS WORK. 🌞🌈
Huge Congrats on the nativity set! Seeing it was made in West Germany, I knew it was made before 1990. East & West Germany united in late 1990. I was soooo tickled when you found the original receipts! What an amazing score! If I had the money.....! 💌
The door knocker is a Lincoln Imp from UK. It is carved into Lincoln cathedral.
I can see it now, when you get older like elderly, they're going to call you the crazy cat lady😂😂😂
What an awesome find in the Nativity set!! Thank you for sharing your thrifting day and auction day.
That wicker arch shelf you have in your home my son bought some apartments and he came home and had one on his trailer and I looked it up and it was $500 and up on eBay! I asked what he was doing with it and he said putting it on burn pile! I said on no your not I want it! Win for me!
Great finds! I love watching y’all at the auction!
Possible that handmade ceramic bowl with the twist pattern is a stylized yarn bowl. You put a ball of yarn in as you knit and the arched swirls control the yarn. Or it's just a pretty pattern resembling a yarn bowl. 😂
Kayla, those wooden carved figures like in your nativity set are very in demand within the Waldorf school scene. I have collected some Ostheimer animals and people. You might want to look into that, they are worth a lot of money - especially the vintage ones.
What a stunning Nativity Set. Just beautiful, with papers and all.
The brass door knocker looks like our Lincoln Imp from the uk. It sits in our cathedral in Lincoln city. 😮
I've been watching both of you, before you were together. I did hear the "We live in Kentucky"...so...is that where you are living now, Matt?
The auction is exciting - not knowing who gets what. Love the figures. Glad you got what you were wanting. Love that turtle. See y'all later.
Brilliant finds guys. Love you both K🇬🇧❤️
That was a fantastic sale. Love love love the nativity what an amazing find and price!!!
Okay, I loved this video. I'm not even sure if this is the one that has the item I'm going to talk about. It's not at the auction, it was at that awesome garage sale with the fabulous antiques. I just wanted to tell you about the cabbage cutting contraption. I hope nobody else did? Anyway, my folks used one of those to make sauerkraut. They made it in our basement in a HUGE old crock, it was so big, like maybe 50 or 60 gallons? They put like an old board-like cover on it and weighed it down and then let it sit and stink up the house for what seemed like days. Maybe it was days and days, I was pretty young, don't remember it all. I know what a lot of the stuff is that you guys find...and yes, I'm freakin' old. Kinda weird to be this old, actually. Anyway, just wanted to share my tidbit of knowledge there with ya in case nobody else did. (Whether you wanted to know it or not) Lol. Have a good one!
I'm just a little bit old (59). I remember making sauerkraut with my dad before he passed away when I was 15. Great memories.
I’ve been watching you guys at this auction for a while now and just now realized it’s right down the street from where I live. Have to check out that auction someday. There’s a whole bunch of nice thrift shops on 107th Ave. and Peoria right by the Walgreens and bank, you might like to check them out someday. I watch you guys all the time.
Thank you for doing these, love to watch.
The iridescent glass car is Fenton, they make all sorts of glass and they sell great
Cat not car lol…spell check
Live auctions have always been my favorite thing. You can come out so well if you do your research. So many of the auction houses around me in North West Central Wisconsin have turned to doing online auctions and many of them list everything separately instead of lotting things up. Luckily I have found some great online auctioneers who do lot good things up.
Kayla, you have such a great eye for finding unique artisan pieces!
Kayla, I’d love to see your trinket collection!
Great finds in today's video!! Love you two so much!!
Thanks so much!
What a great auction! Had so many interesting treasures. Congratulations on getting the Nativity set. Do you suppose someone palmed the raccoon before y’all bought it?
You are looking really good Kayla. Happiness shows. You guys are doing great.. Matt you have a very soothing voice. I love so much that you get but living in Australia makes it hard to buy from you.
No! I found one by the same artist a 24 set and it's 725.00!!
That was so much fun. Love you. Wow, what a score on that nativity set .. nice!
Love your Video's , I raised my kids in Phoenix on Auctions, There is so many in Phoenix . I live in Parker ,Az and dont get to Phoenix much ,Kingman Az has a lot of Auctions .glad to see you in Arizona.Good Luck
I new to both of your channels and I love every one!! Girl, you are good at that bidding. I wish you could have got that flatware. I saw so many things that I wanted but I’m stuck in nothing happening NC. Keep those videos coming!!!
Kayla we need a trinky shelf tour.. id love to see all your trinks xx
Thank you for all of your content. I watched when you found the Russian lacquered trinket boxes. I would have never guessed they were worth that much. I bought it for $5 and sold it for $105!!!!
I really enjoy your videos. I was wondering how you handle receipts when you pay with cash? Thanks.
What an amazing auction house. The lady mentioned they get things from million dollar houses. Explains why a lot of the things are cool and worth lots. Your silver tray with littles and the box with all the wooden things was so awesome! I'd want to keep them all lol 😆 BTW your hair looks so cute curled!!
19:12 if you fly southwest you get 2 large bags @ for free! Great video as always!
Fun times with the two of you. Your bidding skills are very professional. 😉 I love hearing him say “our” house. ❤
My 2 favorite people ❤ 😊
Awesome finds!! The turtle 🐢 is flipping amazing.. That door knocker was so cool ..
i watch these videos on the regular. i’m still a newbie to resale and i always learn so much!
The nativity set is a Lotte Sievers-Hahn
My son lives in Tucson and he used to have a company that would go into repossessed homes and clean it out. He got to keep everything. Even if it was an RV or a car, a kitchen towel to furniture from fixtures bathroom lighting to kitchen dinette sets I mean everything he had to load up in a trailer and anything that was broken. He had to repair and then sign off and then he would get paid. They had yard sales About once a month and made thousands and thousands of dollars. My daughter-in-law‘s mother would take stuff to the flea market and make thousands of dollars in one day just from free stuff. He got paid to take free stuff and sell it. But now they both have blue-collar jobs that they have insurance for and are much happier.
My ex-husband and I used to have a business doing that too. We would walk into houses sometimes and it literally looked like people just picked up their car keys, walked off and left everything, never intending to look back. We would find everything from cars in the garage, to food in the fridge to kids clothes in the washer and dryer. Crazy!
Oh you two did have fun! That nativity is wonderful. Such a bumner about raccoon!
I love auctions. So fun watching you.
Thanks for watching!
I have a couple of those Robert Shields trickster coyotes - they are wonderful! And the big ones go much higher.
Makes me nervous when people are ear hustling!!!🤪lol
Nice finds, home work makes it a sure bet we’ll done 😊😊
Nice auction haul guys..😍😮 That hand-made German nativity set is just lovely..🎉🤗 You two always find the best.. Take care..👍❤🔥👊
