Use Vicks vapour rub on your netting edges or entry to your van & dab some on your ankles, wrist and neck should help stave off the mosquitoes- vacuum them up if they get inside - love seeing your trip ❤🎉😊
The reason the bugs weren't bothering you outside was because of the Thermacell. I recommended on multiple occasions that you get the Thermacell years ago. Not sure it was my suggestions that made you finally get on board or not but when I know that I will be outside for any extended period of time I use my Thermacell because they work better than any bug deterrent I've ever used.
I've said it before, Chrome, the Board of Tourism needs to sponsor you. You always show us the beauty of Canada that many of us will never get to see. Thank you. Be safe.
That's one of the best things about traveling. Meeting new people and learning the custom of whatever location you are. The scenery was beautiful, and it was cute the way both dogs were playing.😊
Garmin Inreach devices have 2-way communication with emergency services. Spot, another big provider in addition to Garmin, has historically been just a 1-way service: you hit the button and hope someone received it. However, the 4th gen Spot X device now has 2-way communication like Garmin does.
Has jackery also do have an app for ya phone? Cause with the eco flow you have an app where you can set the charge speed as in max wattage input for the AC.
What fun to watch you make a new friend. Beautiful spot, so glad it was possible to share it with someone you could enjoy hanging out with. Great to see Cruzie able to get in and out of the water and play with another dog he could trust and not feel defensive about. Just lovely! Glad you could get up away from the fires, I really wasn't sure about that. thanks!
Baby boy Cruz had the best time showing out for his new puppy friend! He gave zero fluffs about hot helping with fishing, then was tired AF, and sounded like he was fighting for his life trying to catch his breath. 🤣🤣🤣
I love this silence out there. I remember walking down the road and hearing the wings of a eagle as it flew over top of me about 2 feet above from my head
Awww Cruzie has a friend. Black out curtains are definitely necessary! Super neighbour! Good to know about the emergency services 😊 Nice video Chrome! Enjoyed it. Bug zapper.
Is nice to meet people, however sometimes their stay is too long. They don’t get it reason for being in a location like this. Watching Cruzie in water & scenery what a absolute beautiful memory.❤
What a wonderful video. Epic spot, neighbor with cold beer, and cute dogs! What more could you want? The Garmin's for when you can't get cell or satellite. Like if you're hanging upside down in your rig, or out on a trail away from reception. I've got the In Reach II myself. Get a jar of Vick's Vaporub. Repels mosquitos.
The closer you get to the arctic circle the more light you will have. Towards summer solstice we don’t have the sun go down. But keep in mind it’s the opposite in December at winter solstice. For instance here in Anchorage, Alaska the sun currently rises at 5:20 am and sets at 11:00 pm. So we only have around 4 hours of actual darkness right now
Enjoy your videos Chrome. I've been watching you for the last 6 plus years,. Personally, I'd rather deal with a mosquito netting and the hassle of it, rather than dealing with the hassle of all the bugs. But that's just me.
I can’t believe that you don’t have an electric fly swatter. They are some much fun. lol. I learned the hard way you need to close up your van before dusk!!
Oh yes that lake side is beautiful. If I'm correct that's birch bark and they're absolute best fire starters. Cruizie had a blast. Take care you two until the next one❤❤❤❤
• When the crickets & critters go quiet , there's often a PREDATOR in the area. 🔍😧🔎 • But if it gets any more silent , like: you see the tree leaves moving but don't hear them , or see the water splashing \ running over the RiverRocks but can't hear it , 😟 ultra dead-DEAD SILENCE , immediately RETRACE your steps EXACTLY ! At this time of year here in Dawson City the sun sets at 11:30 pm and rises at 5:15 am ... darkest around 3 am but still not dark enough to see stars ... Midnight sun happens around June 21st
What great day you've had there! It's beautiful. Idea try putting one of the Thermacell on inside the van about fifteen to thirty minutes before settling in for the night see if it gets rid of the mosquitoes or it so the scent is. Anyway thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Is that emergency service on your iPhone an app?? Never mind you just answered it! Thanks for the good info!!! What a nice neighbor!! So glad you’re having a good time!
YOE NEED A BUG LIGHT..I keep one in my house all year mand I haven’t been bit since I put it in. They ,don’t take much power and it’s a great night light.
I was in southern Ontario 5 times and didn't see one single moose. I camped in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and a moose walked right by my campsite. Who would have thought. I guess Canadia is not the only place to find moose.
Amazon has usb powered light/fan that suck up the mosquitos, we have them in our camp trailer and they work great 😊 maybe for next year 😊, happy to see your fun today 😊
Here is a tip, open a package of bacon and fry it ALL up at once. The left over bits store in a sealed plastic bag or container with a paper towel to absorb some of the extra grease. That way you only have to 'fry' it for a minute to warm it up....
@@TanyaStingley...same with pasta, some a long time ago said “what do you do with the leftover pasta”...I thought that was something new, NEVER, EVER have I seen leftover pasta 👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂😂☮️

Besides birch bark for fire starter, moose poop is another. Collect moose pellets (not wet or too dry). Melt parrafin wax. Drop in pellets. Remove, let dry. Store in coffee can or zip loc. Use 1-2 pellets to start a fire.
The day with the longest daylight hours in Alaska is on June 20th. We get a little less daylight every day now. We just drove our RV up that highway two months ago on our way home to Alaska.
Wonder if you come across wild mushrooms like chicken of the woods and such along with wild berries here in East Idaho hard for me to find but trout fishing is great. Have a safe travels young man.
It was a blast chillin with you Chrome. Thanks for letting me crash your video. Hope to see you in the near future. Cheers!!
You added real energy dude nice one mate.
Did you manage to have your fish supper or did Cruz have them all 😂

Loved the energy and vibe in this vid. Sergio is great!

Nice lake. The neighbor seems like a cool guy.
Someone tell Chrome about the rechargeable bug zapper racket...looks like a tennis racket. One swipe...mosquitoes are done! ❤
Great video! The beauty in Canada! Sweet seeing your baby make a new friend 🐶 and you too!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful country and ventures!

Great video. I’m sure you and Cruz have protection from the mosquito. Heartworm for Cruz would kill me!
❤Looks like you had a great time at that beautiful spot with your temporary neighbor Safe travels❤

Looks like a great time. That was great to see you can get help and know it’s coming.
USB bug zapper was the MVP when we were up in the Yukon 2 weeks ago. Highly suggest looking into it. Enjoy the trip
I could hear the mosquitos buzzing while you were talking and at first I thought they were here with me!!
“Step 2” LoL … shout out to Camping with Steve!!

Pick up a couple of bug paddles that kills mosquitos 🦟- wave around the van: snap, snap, snap. Hardware stores.
the steward cassiar is amazing, we drove in May and we'll be likely doing it again in Sept when we head back to Colorado

You could get small bug zappers for your skeeter problem. Also look forward to your videos and your adventures and of course the top dog Cruz.
Absolutely beautiful area, Chrome. Glad you and the neighbor had fun. It was so cute seeing the doggies play with each other. See you soon. :)
We learned it in the Boy Scouts. The birch tree rotten from the inside out, so the bark is perfert as a fire starter.
It's always fun to meet cool people out camping 👍😻❤️❤️❤️❤️
