Bluebeam Bites: How to Create Bluebeam Page Labels and Hyperlinks

- Page labels are a way of naming and/or numbering the pages of a PDF that can be distinct from Bookmarks and file names. They appear on the Thumbnails panel.
The Hyperlink tool is used to insert and view hyperlinks in a PDF. Once placed, a hyperlink will perform its defined action when clicked. When that action is to open another PDF, clicking the hyperlink will open the document in the foreground and CTRL-clicking the hyperlink will open it in the background.
For batch hyperlinking, see Batch Link (only available in Bluebeam Revu eXtreme Edition).

Very useful and time-saving when we're doing commercial painting takeoffs from drawings that have many details of small areas to be painted, such as window ledges/trim, fire cabinets, and other smaller difficult-to-notice items. Even the color coding of section detail labels. You are good at this.
It's interesting! Thank you very much for help.
Thank you so much...
Very Very useful, but oftentimes you have to run OCR before selecting your regions.
I have a set of drawings with finish codes on the elevations that reference a external finishes schedule. Is there a way to link this too? I cant seem to figure out how
How do you change preferences?
When making batch plot from CAD it makes [number] at the first of the page name and I cannot do page numbering in bluebeam because some sheets' numbers having cloud around. So how can get rid of [1] this for example [1]A0.0 next is [2]A0.1 ...
Thanks! This is very helpful. I was able to do this but there is this one file that when I do the create page labels shows gibberish symbols instead of the actual text, what seems to be the problem? Do uou know how to fix it? Thanks
How do you change the Hyperlink Preferences so that all hyperlinks are highlighted?
What version of Bluebeam are you using? Would be helpful to know as I can't find Batch on mine for linking and took me a bit to find the location of "Create Page Labels" on my version.
Great question! From our instructor Rick Kremer: "The version this demonstration was on, was using the latest Revu 20. But the batch feature is only available in the “extreme edition” of the software, hope that helps, Rick."
For some reason when trying to have both regions it won't work. I can have one region of either the sheet number or the title, not both. When I try both it only gives sheet numbers: S1.1- . What am I doing wrong!?
Is there a way to number AND label sheets for extracting? i.e. 001 A1.0 Architectural Floor Plan
Hey Cody, we'd love to schedule a personalized demo for you! Reach out to us via our website asti.com or reach out to marketing@asti.com and ask for Rick Kremer.
