@@Shhhh__LL I've been thinking long and hard about your responses here and the only thing I can come up with is that you don't understand how time works. You might not realize that humans perceive time in a linear fashion and that when a comment is left on a video in what we call "The Present" the person who made it cannot yet know what events have not yet happened in what we call "The Future." So when someone like you comes along and reads a comment that is now considered to have been written before "The Present" that is what humans call "The Past." If you're the kind of entity who does not understand these concepts, then it's easy to see why you would reply to my comment, which I left in "The Past" before certain events transpired ("The Future" from my perspective). Maybe this helps you understand time a bit more and why your reply to my original comment was so amazingly stupid.
I am a big fan of fixed blades. I have probably 3 fixed blades for every folder in my collection. for the $200 price tag, I would expect either kydex or leather, preferably with a dangler option. I am not trying to insult Doug Ritter, but if you want to get a similar sized knife, with outstanding quality, Esee and Tops bot have options that are outstanding and have better carry options. one suggestion, if you are going to review fixed blades in the future, getting some B roll outside, doing knife tasks would up really help with the depth of the review. this blade looks like it would handle notching, and batoning very well, and rope/paracord cutting ( the finish on the end of the cord is as important as the speed and ease of cutting for a lot of outdoors people like me) other than that, not a bad job reviewing for something outside of your bailiwick
Yeah... I'm thinking about changing up the format a bit, but not sure I'll be doing all that stuff. Maybe SOME of it. Makes the videos literally 5-6 times the amount of time to make.
@@SliceyDicey I hear you. the videos my son and I make for our channel take a lot of effort, with my limited mobility, and lack of a vehicle to carry my chair, it is a pain to get to the woods. it can be a 4-5 hour day to get a 45 min video with some action shots of cutting and such.
I carry fixed blades everyday. I didn't buy that knife for 2 reasons. Slightly to large for EDC and that sheath. I don't mind getting a aftermarket sheath but I didn't find anything available for the knife. Custom sheaths go up in price. A knife has to come with at least a usable sheath for me to try the knife out before I spend more money on it. That sheath is really bad.

The alien knives tutank has caught my eye, mc did one couple weeks ago unboxing and I liked the way it looked and size, not big on carrying one but I wanna change my opinion on that, I want one I can place in my pocket hate hanging stuff on my side, so I suggest fixed blade that with a sheath could be easy Carry in the pocket for edc use, and protech sbr fixed seams interesting as well
Slicey, I’ve been a big fan of your channel but I don’t have any clue what’s going on. Your apology seemed genuine enough but my recommendation is don’t run away and hide from it. Don’t block comments. Only bad things will come from that. This is only going to make people more curious, create more drama, and people are still going to find out anyway. It’s also a bad look because it comes off as unrepentant and deciding to leave things as they are rather than correcting them. When it comes to scams, the scammer often just disappears and people are often left to dry. Don’t let people think that or feel that. I hope everything can get worked out soon. Love your reviews man.

I do not believe that cancel culture is productive and I believe people that keep that spirit alive in the world need to look inward very deep at themselves. EVERYONE makes big mistakes in life. EVERYONE! With that said, this is a huge mistake and people have every right to be upset. Also, everyone should be forgiven at some point especially if there is true change. It’s simple, Slicey needs to make this right with everyone he wronged. Also, I believe transparency is important to explain to everyone why this happened. The only way you can truly change is to air all of the dirty laundry, admit the faults, and turn away from those actions. I’ve learned repentance is to completely turn away from the wrong and in doing so this creates a transformation. If at some point you truly repent I know there will be many who stand behind you. There’s a lot of work to be done. Don’t ever give up! There is forgiveness to be had!
Scammers are the worst of the worst in this community. Sure eventually he should be forgiven but he should no longer use his platform to do giveaways, sell knives, or take donations for a website thats never going to happen. He's proven he can't handle that responsibly over the past couple years.
@@oldaccount7463 These are all valid points and I’m not going to say you are wrong. However, I will say that cancel culture is wrong. Completely wrong. @@Shhhh__LL I thank you for showing everyone you know how to build a strawman but not being smart enough to engage in civil conversation.
@@OtherThanIntendedPurpose well… now I feel like a lazy ass.
I just found out about the scandalous activity- but honestly, it’s been a year. If you’ve made things right it’s time to get back on the horse. I didn’t come here for entertainment or for buying anything from you. I still appreciate your insight on knives. I don’t patron anybody on TH-cam… and I never win when I enter contests. I do, however, research the shite out of a blade before I go after it. You started reviewing knives because you love them. People buy nice knives because they love them. Don’t stop reviewing them. Thanks.
Almost 200 bucks and u get a nylon sheath, that's a turn off right there. Love the knife the sheath could be way better.
The alien knives tutank has caught my eye, mc did one couple weeks ago unboxing and I liked the way it looked and size, not big on carrying one but I wanna change my opinion on that, I want one I can place in my pocket hate hanging stuff on my side, so I suggest fixed blade that with a sheath could be easy Carry in the pocket for edc use, and protech sbr fixed seams interesting as well
I’d have watched beginning to end … but I just find fixed blades boring.
Your review of the purple and grey custom Bugout is why I am now obsessed with Benchmades.
Its easy to think his apology is genuine if you haven't been waiting 6+ months for a knife you purchased from him.
@@oldaccount7463 what knife are you waiting on?
@@SRVandDtrouble I just bought my first knife from a random stranger on Best Damn EDC discord. I was pleaseantly surprised by how friendly and fast the seller was. For the most part our knife community isnt that big but its a very good positive community. Which makes it all worse that Slicey took advantage of other peoples kindness and support. How pathetic is that. He literally had his youtube channel doing well and he couldve just kept growing and getting free knives for reviews and selling, but he decided to cash out for a couple thousand bucks. What a loser POS
He didn't pay multiple people for services performed (Articles written), and various knife forums are EXPLODING with people who claim he sold them knives and never shipped them. Additionally, many of his Giveaway winners never received their items, and suspiciously, some of the knives which were sold (some actually sent, some not) appear to be knives which were already won in giveaways, many of which (the knives) were donated to his channel by manufacturers with the stipulation, or understanding that they would be given away (but they were sold instead). It's not a few isolated incidents, it' a long term pattern of behavior that indicates a fundamentally dishonest person.
Good vid Slicey for a fixed blade. I think it's an ok knife but at that price there's too much competition and better blades for that price. So it's too pricey for what it is.😁👍
Can’t really carry a fixed blade so I don’t have many ( five or six) but it’s cool to see a few reviews here and there
This is one of VERY few fixed blades I find attractive and kinda want to by. Seems like it might be a gateway drug knife…
That's a gateway you want to walk through. Fixed blades are your friends.
That guard seems super out of place to me
Yeah....Like a flipper tab somehow jumped into the design? 🤔
Ok Slicyman what U did wrong was not mail that great hunk a steel to me for early Xmas. Ohbuhaha. 😜 dreams sometimes do come true as I write this from my hospital bed after back surgery.
Damn! Hope you get better soon! I'm looking at neck surgery someday. Hopefully not for a few years.
That's funny how the 4Max Scout is larger when opened. The RSK is more nimble
Only way I really love carrying a fixed blade is scout or appendix carry. 4" is about the limit of what is discrete for me but YMMV.
Fixed blade reviews would be welcome and appreciated. Thanks Bryan👍🏻
Maybe check out Armatus Carry Kydex Sheaths. He made me 2 super slick, durable ones for my Nyala and a custom skinning/hunting fixed blade I got as a gift. They came out great and have put them thru their paces hunting.
Not a fixed knife guy here...
Come back Brian
Come back slicey!
Nope

He'll scam you mate
Good review. For the future consider fixed blades carried around the neck, in pocket and those fancy personal steak knives (oh wait those are folders)
I know 2 different guys that own that Ritter and both ordered custom sheaths without ever using the original one. One was in kydex and the other was in boltaron I think.
I REALLY don't like stuff around my neck, but I know they're popular. Perhaps.
I love your reviews. I love Hogue. Likewise, Senior Ritter. But this is one of the ugliest fixed blade profiles my peepers have ever peeped. Also… THE PRICE!!!
Are you going to start making more videos?
Hope to see you very soon Slicey. We need your content back. The knife review world is getting out of hand and needs some sense brought back 🙏.

Hey, man, I just wanted to let you know you have my support. I just saw your most recent video and you have my support. I don't know what all is going on in your life but I hope it all works out and I'll be praying for you.
Easy to support when you weren't one of the people he scammed and are still waiting on a knife bought 6 months ago. This behavior makes the knife community look bad.
@Stutterin` Bob that's a ridiculous comment. He stated he wasn't really sure what was going on. I would be furious to if I got screwed out of something but I'm just now learning would always happening and I would have left a comment saying that he had my support at first. I stepped away from the knife Community months ago and I'm checking back now and I'm just now learning what's happened. I don't know if this stuff was done through malice or if he had a lot going on in his life. Nowadays everybody wants to burn somebody at the stake without giving them a chance to make it right. We'll see if he makes it right. At this point he still has my support because I followed him for a long time and I always liked him. He would lose my support if he didn't try to make things right. It’s time to come back. Everyone likes a comeback!!
In fact, I’d rather live in a world with scammers and no cancel culture than a world without scammers but full of cancel culture. The problem I face is our current world is full of both…pretty sad. Don’t see it changing anytime soon

Any fool can criticize, complain, and condemn-and most fools do. But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving. Remember, when you judge you define yourself, not the one your judging. You never know the whole story. Everyone is in earth school. I find no fault with you Brian. Hang in there. God loves you.
Yeah, all that turn the other cheek shit doesn’t do a thing for me. This guy is a con artist. Con is short for confidence man. Meaning he gains people’s confidence, in order to take them for something they didn’t intend to give him… any fool can walk through life pretending it’s all sunshine and rainbows, and blowing himself over how intelligent and forgiving he is. But you’re just a mark for con men like Brian so congrats
God loves him, but He hates sin. Stealing is a mortal sin, a grave action that is committed in full knowledge of its gravity and with the full consent of the sinner's will. Such a sin cuts the sinner off from God's sanctifying grace. The man is a thief and got caught and in our society he has to pay a price.
theres a difference between not shipping one or two knives then not shipping a bunch of knives to various ppl. One mistake is like forgetting to send ONE knife. he purposely tried to scam, thats not a mistake. thats somethign he did on purpose
